Fintan steps towards the two, twirling her double sided blade, interrupting Rak. ''I think its best if we scout it out first. I can rig up an idea to peer about the corner, see if those ghastly creatures are there. I don't know if its the best pace of plan to rush in quick, with no idea if they're there. Mayhaps, we can figure out the strengths of each to use our good points instead of the weak. Not that your idea is bad Rak. We should avoid the Northeast cave entrance, there's no coverage there. I could angle a mirror form there and peer about, see if we have a better vantage point. Going for the center cave, we have about an eight foot coverage from the Northeast. We could do a surprise attack if that fits the plan. It might not be best to split apart. Phineas would be a good scout, didn't he say he had Arctic experience?''
"I didn't say Charge in.. I am saying that IF someone was to have to distract the giant.... to keep him from getting to our... less armored friends. that I could help you to survive it.. unscathed even... probably" Rak would add. "I do think we need to scout out the caves."
"Did anyone notice if any of those guards we left in the snow had any shields on them? I normally prefer to use my greatsword but with the new knowlege of what we may soon face... I might try to borrow a sword and shield if they are available." Rak would offer since Kilmus seemed less than enthused by his idea to be the distraction when fighting the giant.
'I am happy to stand in the Van and keep the foe at bay until he can be dispatched. And I appreciate your offer to help keep me on my feet, thank you and thanks to your Patron.'
Twirling his Halberd and shifting his cloak back over his shoulder, Kilmus looks to the others 'I would be happier if we came up with a plan that didn't involve any of us getting smashed like a melon.'

Fintan crossed her arms before crouching and opening her pack. ''We should approach the center cave. There's about an 8 foot passage or so, and cover by those large logs over there. I could use a mirror and peer about the corner, see how many we're facing. There's no coverage from the Northeast. I know you all must have some thoughts but for now, I'm going to peer about this corner from here.'' Taking out a mirror from her bag, she walks towards the pine tree in front of them, parallel to the northeast cave. Crouching behind the tree she angles the mirror to peer about the corner to gain a vantage point on the Northeast Cave.

Phineas nods in agreement with Kilmus. "Stand afar and call it out with the rest of hidden until it exits its cave. Then we can rain down arrows and such upon it as it rushes toward you," the halfling suggests. "If we are even somewhat skilled, we hopefully will weaken it before we must engage in hand-to-hand."

Kilmus stays back, knowing his mail would make far too much noise if he were to try to sneak in close, but he readies his Halberd and positions himself to step to the front if something emerges from the cave.
Squinting at the mirror, she is able to angle it just right to see two giants, one appears awake and angry while the other seems half asleep. She is also able to see that they seem to be standing around a small pile of something, but she is not close enough to look. Fintan clasps the mirror to her chest and quickly makes her way back to the crew, footsteps muffled by the thick snow. ''There seems to be two of them. One of the ghastly things appears quite angry while the other is half asleep. It seems our best advantage would be going for the Center cave. Its too risky to circle the Northeast in my opinion.''

Phineas shrugs, whispering. "Two? That be double the trouble, no? Drawing them out would likely bring both. Sneaking in could give us the advantage on one." He smiles to himself thinking. "Of course, the angry one could just be upset the other one's sleeping. Mayhaps, they take it out on each other and then we attack," he quips.

A huge grey skinned giant of a man comes out of the cave, a mighty spear in hand looking around, scouring the landscape with his eyes and looking around. The sheer size of him catches you off guard, but for the moment he seems distracted enough to not see you - looking for something else entirely.
"I had hoped the sounds would be of something that might not alert the giant to danger... I imagine it will be on high alert of it thinks there is an army out here" Rak would say as he moves to hide in a position where he could flank the giant when it comes out. If he sees the giant approach he would clutch his amulet in his hand and cast shield of faith on kilmus before preparing to attack after he had engaged with the Paladin.

Kilmus steps forward and tries his best to hide - Stealth 4 - but the broad-shouldered man in chain armor isn't very good at remaining unseen. The whole point of a shepherd was to be seen - so the wolves knew the sheep weren't an easy meal.
Feeling the blessing of Bane surround him, the bouncer takes up a position in front of the party with his Glaive at the ready.

MIca, hearing the clanging of his allies' armor all the way from his hiding space. groans. Then, he conjures up some more words - "No, he's there! We're weak!" in a further attempt to draw him out, hoping the Giant will attempt to take advantage of a potentially weak enemy.
