Malambing leads the way through the outskirts of the ruins and recalling the Nagah statues that are likely their goal finds a half collapsed guardhouse on the way, the group is not quiet and Jupp looks decidely unwell and is sweating profusely despite his Fan Ring.
Getting everyone into the guardhouse the cool stone interior is a welcome respite, looking out and through the tall grass the giant monitors are nowhere to be seen.
( Feel free to Level Up to 2. Jupp is Poisoned for the next 12 hours unless someone has means to cure it. The Nagah statue with the broken jaw looks to be about 100m away on a slight rise.)
Krikoris feels his blood surging through him and smiles, ready to burn anything he needs to, and waits for those who were injured to be ready to move on.
Khutulun sits with the rest of the group, keeping an eye peeled for approaching danger.

There is little sign of dangerous life that the monk can see, in fact the ruins seem peaceful and even serene with the sun overhead. A troop of macaques plays about the summit of one of the complexes, black-striped squirrels skittered through the trees and across the stones and numerous small lizards zoomed around the piles of cut stone.
Looking over towards the Nagah statues she sees that each one is larger than the family compound and they are carved with an eye to detail.
It is getting towards late morning as everyone stirs from their rest....
(How closely do the Nagah resemble what Krikoris would recognize as a dragon?)
( They are definitely dragon-ish ( scales, teeth, crests etc. but quite different in body shape, build etc. Though he does not know how much license the sculptors took or even if there are real beings like this....these certainly seem more...serpentine....than the creatures back home.)
Mal is going to take a closer look at the statues, looking for anything out of the ordinary: Investigation: 20
Mal sneaks across to the paired statues and, remembering the information they were given, concentrates his search around the base of the Nagah statue with the broken jaw.
After some minutes he finds a hollow under the Nagahs breast covered by a stone slab, there seems to be a rough hemp rope ladder visible beneath it....
"I think I found it, friends - this looks like our way in." Mal takes a pebble and drops it in, listening and trying to gauge how deep the tunnel descends.
Krikoros moves to follow, trailing his finger across the nagah statue, “I wonder if these are cousins the the dragons of my homeland? Were they kinder masters, do you think? Or perhaps they were just more tyrants? Mal, where would I find historical records of this island?”
"You'll need to talk to the Elders, po - they have all the stories of the times before. Me and my lot, we're too busy trying to stay alive today to worry about what happened yesterday." With a grin at Krikoris, Mal descends the ladder. When he gets to the bottom, he'll try to let his eyes adjust to the darkness.

And dark indeed it is, Mal can't make out much in the dim light filtering from above in the shade of the statue. Jupp, and perhaps Uce, will definetely need to stoop in here.
He is in a corridor; the packed earth walls are reinforced at points with stone slabs behind him the corridor heads further into the ruins, ahead it seems to head towards the city walls...and hopefully under if they're information is correct.
Krikoris follows him down and lights another torch, "No point standing in the dark. Lead on, I'll follow a little ways behind so the light doesn't give us away too much."
Looking ahead in the torchlight Mal sees a black mold has grown thickly in this tunnel, and great streaky patches of it bulge from walls, ceilings, and floors.
Everything in the tunnel stinks of wet, moldy bread......but it does not seem to be dangerous.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Try not to touch the mold, po - it might get you sick." Mal will advance near the edge of the torchlight Krikoris provides, checking carefully for traps or dangerous parts of the tunnel.
The group slowly made their way along the tunnel with Mal in the lead, occasionally they came across side passages that had collapsed in on themselves and about 80m along Mal found a discarded sack containing rotting fruit and a small iron straight razor...the razor wasn't too rusty so it could not have been here long.
Ahead, the tunnel walls and ceilings became reinforced stone for about 5m and Mal knew they had passed under the city walls....ahead he could hear faint noises..though whether it was ambient noise filtering from above or from somewhere in the tunnels he could not yet tell.

The tunnel runs straight for over 100m....
Jupp will slowly make his way over to the tunnel area as quietly as he can 9

Uce will follow. He'll repeatedly glance over his shoulder to make sure no one is following them.
