Mal creeps back to the group with the scroll in hand. "Looks like there's a lot of history down here, po. That room back there was full of scrolls, but this was the only one that didn't have that black mold on it. It talks about torturing some poor laborer because they thought he was going to steal something called an 'High Archakas Serpentine Kapala,' if I'm reading that right. No idea what that is, but it's probably worth a fortune!"
Krikoris looks puzzled, "People pay a lot of coin to read about someone being tortured? This land is stranger and stranger. Anyway, other other doors off of that room or did we miss a turn somewhere?"
"Right, I think these were the notes of the one doing the torturing - but I didn't see any other exits off those rooms, so we should keep moving forward, but quietly." Mal will sneak up to the end of the corridor and stop just before passing through where the double doors would be.

Jupp recalls almost nothing though he does know of similar ruin complexes on other islands including the one he is from, though most have been fully reclaimed by the jungle or pillaged by newer settlements and projects of stone.
Back in the corridor and with none of the others wanting to do their own explorations of the rooms Malambing leads them ahead.
The corridor opens into a room , in the dim torchlight can be seen a door in the north wall, another in the eastern corner of the south wall and the corridor continues on to the east on the other side of the room.
The room is crowded with tarnished bronze bins. Crumbling yellow bones fill the bins, each one sorted to contain bones of the same sort: skulls in one, femurs in the other, boxes of delicate phalanges. A stone jar sealed with brittle wax is on a table in the centre of the room.
"I did not realise that there would be much down here other than tombs..."

Uce shakes his head at Krikoris' comment. "Torture isn't something should want to read about."
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.

"Well, this is unpleasant," Mal whispers. "I'm open to suggestions. North, south, or continue east?"
Krikoris moves up to the stone jar and examines it closely.

Meant scroll, "This place is old"
DJ
It appears to be very old but still sealed. There are no exterior markings.
Krikoris glances back to the others, "Anyone know what this is?"
"Not me, po, but I don't know that I'd anger the spirits in this place - bad things happened here, and they might still."
Mal looks visibly uncomfortable.
Uce shakes his head.

"Nothing I recognise," replies Cinta.

Khutulun shook her head, " Nothing good."
" The noise was likely not coming through the doors, so it was straight ahead.....likely?"
" But I don't like the idea of enemies at our backs either. We should check the doors."
Mal nods, and goes to each door in turn and listens.

Perception check at the door in the corner of the south wall: 21
If nothing is heard at either door, he'll slowly open each door and look in, but not enter.
Krikoris continues to examine the jar, pondering whether to open it, take it, or come back for it later.
