As both clamour into combat positions, a sudden crack of thunder splits air as a lightning bolt blasts from the sky and strikes the three men in the background. The peal of thunder flatten the women in front of you. Looking up, you see a thunderstorm darkening the sky overhead with unnatural speed. Rain begins to sprinkle from the heavens and quickly becomes a downpour. More lighting and thunder rumbles angrily from the sky. A faint mist begins to rise from the river nearby. Dazed, the women who spoke stands up and asks, "What just happened?" The bodies smoke behind her, and the other women woozily rise to those feet.
Corwin watches the sudden and shocking change in the weather, sees the lightning land down upon their foes with something like a savage intelligence, and gasps. This clearly was no natural storm.
He looks to the others in the party and raises an eyebrow after the woman's question. He turns back to look at her. "The very sky strikes out against you," he says. "If you're wise, you'll leave this place. But first, where is our friend?"
She nods her hastily her head in agreement and points behind her. "He's in the village just beyond that hill. Please don't hurt me, I don't didn't even want to be out here in the first place," she says in a shaky voice.
Rain runs down her face like many tears, and the ground soon becomes saturated with puddles. She and her companions are completely unnerved.
Shadow is feeling extremely nervous from the sudden rain. But Corwin seems to have turned it in their favour. So she will just accept the situation but stay on her guard for more unnatural signs.

Cifray moves up beside her companions, huddling close to the group as she pulls her cloak over her head. "Yes we do." She replies to the woman in what she attempts to make a commanding comment but turns out more like a pouty protest. "And you can make sure any of those nasty beasties you're working with stay far away from us."

She nods, and begins slogging up the hill. You come to the crest and see a small village in the flat hilltop. Small huts made of wood and decorated with seaweed stand against the storm. Towards the center of the village, the river you have been following cuts a wide swath through the town. A large building has warmth and light spilling out from the doorway. You see a few dark shapes prowling amongst the darkened huts. Two miserable looking guards stand just outside the large building. For now, you are unnoticed.
Gruenic, you have been traveling several days to this druidic village since you received a vision from Selune. In this vision, you saw monstrous creatures ripping souls and magic from simple folk to fuel a dark ritual. Besides this, you saw a colossal, angry face made of storm clouds looming above it all. As you stumble across the village not knowing quite how you found it, you see a small group of people cresting a ridge and peering at the town.
Gruenic is a sizable half orc in dark splint mail, carrying a shield with the symbol of the moon on it and carrying a longsword, he has a grey complexion and greenish eyes with dark hair. He looks comfortable moving in the dark, not fearful, but at ease. He squats to the ground and observes the group for a bit. Following his vision from the other night, he walks carefully, staying out of the light until he is near the group.
"Hello, fellow travelers, can you tell me what is this place you seek? I had a vision of you in my sleep the other night, in this very place and manner. I don't know what brought me here, but I know that I am meant to aid you in your journey. I am Gruenic, and I am a servant of Selune, who guides me and protects me. Who are you that appear in my visions?" He says this in a hushed voice, while crouching down.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Gorm Diabhal’s short sword is drawn and she’s in a fighting stance before she even finishes turning to look at the Half Orc which just managed to sneak up on them. The blue haired, white skinned Tiefling relaxes a bit as they talk, a bit more when the squat down.
Too relaxed to be looking for trouble, Horm thinks to herself. “I know nothing about visions. We’re here to rescue some druid folk who managed to get their village taken over... We all picked up the job in Elvire and decided to pool our strengths. You know anything about this situation here? The Who or the why or such?”
“I’m Gorm, by the way... The rest are...” Gorm never was good at names. “Fully capable of introducing themselves.” Good at covering it up though...
Startled at first by the sudden appearance of the half-orc, CIfray initially jumps back and almost begins to summon a blast of arcane energy to defend herself. Noticing the symbol of Selune on the newcomer's gear however she stops herself just in time. After hearing Gorm introduce herself first she waves at him and says "My name's Cifray. My friend said it best already, we're here to rescue some poor folks from the area. Did you say you had visions? Do you think they were sent by your goddess? Do you have them often?"

"Yes, I have visions, fairly often, not nightly, but close. I have always felt more comfortable at night, alone. One night when I was out wandering, I saw a huge half man/ half wolf that stared me straight in the eye, looked right through me, and then left as quickly as he came. I have dreamed of the moon ever since then. Soon after, my lady Selune appeared to me and spoke to me, I remember it well. She said "You are meant for something more, go and protect people in my name, remove the fear of the night, of darkness, of hidden monsters that lurk in the dark. Protect my people and I will reward you." I feel that is why I was given this vision of you, crouched right here in this spot. And I found you. I am meant to protect you, even though I don't understand why." Gruenic pauses and stands up from taking a knee. "If you will have me."

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Corwin silently regards the half-orc. Given all they have been through, he is suspicious, but he warms a bit when he hears word of Selune. Though his patron is the Lone Wolf, he is a druid of the Circle of the Moon and considers the Moonmaiden an allied goddess of sorts. Perhaps this half-orc's arrival is a sign. Perhaps this is why he left his forest home after so many years.
He looks into the half-orc's eyes for a moment, then bows his head slightly. "Well met, Greunic. I am Corwin Moonshadow of the High Forest, druid of Fenmarel Mestarine, member of the Circle of the Moon. I believe your joining us is a sign that we follow a righteous path. Welcome."
One of the women turns and says, "Everyone in the village is in that big building. Can we leave now." When and her companions look longingly towards the road that leads away from the village
