Fez notes that Cameron the pig is safe and sound, winning first prize “Best in Show”. The Faire seems to be proceeding as normal, no glaring holes.
You’ve made it to Petunia. Approaching her, it seems pretty clear her memory has been reset. If you like, we can hand-wave things that have already happened if you want to speed things up a little.

Olwer suggests that Petunia may not be as much help as they'd hoped, and that now they ought to go look for Elsie Rumknuckle.
"But let's watch the time. If we can stop that boy from choking on eels before he tries his three at once trick, we'll not only save his life but his voice. And maybe we can prevent that pesky white mole from upsetting the targets at the archery contest? It seems to me that a number of things went wrong at the Pudding Faire. It sounds daft, but maybe if we fix them all, we can be free of the curse? So...the pig-seems we have fixed that--, the choking, the mole mishap, the toadification of the mayor. Anything else?""
If Erevan shows interest in preventing accidents and toadification before these things occur, Olwer will suggest:
1 find the Mayor and make him miss the meeting with Patcher Moldwarp in the Big Tent (by my reading, we have at least a couple of hours yet, as we haven't gone off on the pig-chase or fought the bandits again 'today').Or else intercept Moldwarp and stop him.
2 view eel eating contest, prevent boy from doing the triple gobble trick, somewhat before 2 PM
3 go to archery contest and prevent mole-hole mishap from messing up the Halfling lass's shooting
Erevan listens to Olwer's suggestion, nodding slowly at first, then more vigorously. "It is certainly worth a shot to try to prevent these mishaps," he says. "Even if we do not change the flow of time here, we'll have been of help to a handful of people. That may serve us well. Let's do it."
You are able to spot the mayor & his wife approaching the big tent at about 11 AM. If you recall correctly, he was turned into a frog that first day a little after 12 PM.
Erevan thinks for a moment about the mayor-turned-toad before he finally speaks to Olwer. "Say, back on our first first visit to the fair, what ever happened to that gnome who transformed the mayor into a toad? That's actually quite powerful magic. Could he be the source of all these problems?"

''He could be, at that! We'd better be on the alert when and if he shows. And consider the possibility that he will remember whatever we do, 'tomorrow', if we don't get out of this curse 'today. As for what happened...he just walked away, I think.'''
"So, perhaps, knowing when he will arrival--assuming he does in fact arrive again--we can try to intercept him," Erevan suggests. "Or, since he seemed to target the mayor, maybe we should talk to the mayor first. Perhaps he knows something and that is why the gnome turned him into a toad!"
Erevan is basically proposing a conversation with the mayor to see if he knows anything about the curse and the crazy gnome, and then possibly interception of the crazy gnome following that.

''Sounds good. Let's do just that. I'll get things started, if you like."
If Erevan has no objection, Olwer will make his way over to Mayor Mors and strike up a conversation. He introduces himself as a brewer from Baldur's Gate and he compliments the Mayor and his wife on what a fine town Honeypuddle has shown itself to be, and how well the Pudding Faire seems to be going. He shows an interest in local history and customs, trying to work towards a discussion of gnomes, Urdlen, curses, or the Wild Hills.
insight, to gauge Mors' response to gnome/curse talk

If Mors seems receptive and friendly and doesn't appear to know about the curse or Patcher Moldwarp, Olwer tells him how he heard a rumor this morning that a gnome called Patcher Moldwarp has come down from the Wild Hills beyond Threepenny Wood and is putting it about that he willbe crowned Pudding King this year even if he has to take 'drastic measures.' Olwer then relate the tale of how a villainous gnome magician called 'The Moldwarper' transformed a man into a snake in a Baldur's Gate tavern a couple of years ago, over a dispute about a dice game. Just how well does the Mayor know this fellow from the hills? Might it be the same person? Olwer gives a description of the wicked gnome (one based on the real Patcher Moldwarp, whom Olwer saw 'earlier' in this very tent). He adds that the evil wizard kept a white mole as a pet.

EDIT-- As noted again below, the dice roller rolled again for some reason when I was fixing typos and editing a sentence. Please ignore that Decption result. Olwer flubbed it with a Nat ONE!
((I have to say on the couple of occasions where I got the infamous "This post has potentially manipulated dice rolls" I never could figure out why. I have had plenty of edited posts with rolls in them that had no issues. Go figure!))

((Who knows? In any case, the DM will see the correct, hilariously low, roll when he reads on. This is fun! We may end up having to stop Patcher Moldwarp in a more direct fashion.))
Mors chats with you quite amicably, happy to talk about anything and everything. As you steer the conversation towards evil gnomes and wizards and toads, the mayor smiles and nods along but you can tell he looks a bit bewildered, as though he’s not sure how the conversation could have strayed into such territory. He seems a little embarrassed about how to respond to you, clearly thinking you’ve gone a bit off your rocker.
So you proceed to phase 2 of the conversation, specifically Patcher. The mayor puffs himself up when you mention him getting crowned pudding king.
“Oh, he says he’ll be crowned, does he? I very much doubt that, from what you’ve told me. I don’t know this fellow particularly well, but thanks to you I’ll be ready for him! Being crowned Pudding King is a very serious business for us, we don’t just hand it out to every hills hobo who demands it! As for magic, I’d like to see him try. Sure, some gnomes can do a little trickery, everyone knows that. I’m sure I can handle whatever he’s dishing out.”
"Yes... well...just as you say, Excellency. Trickiness, indeed."
Going to Erevan, he says in Elvish,
"He doesn't know anything useful, I think. But worse, my words of warning had rather the opposite effect. He's swollen with indignation. If he sees Patcher now...well, we had better intervene swiftly. We may need to prevent the gnome from casting his magic and then arrest him, risking our cover. Without getting zapped ourselves."
Erevan considers Olwer's conversation with the mayor. It sounds as if the man is setting himself up for a fall. "I wonder if we should ask Cowslip if she knows this crazy Patcher gnome. Seems like the sort of a character she might have come across at some point."
He looks to the sun. "How much longer until we expect the nasty little hobo to arrive?"
((Can't recall what time of day it was when that happened))

Olwer decides to look for the Mayor, Mors, unless Erevan has a different idea.

If he has no luck, then he can always position himself in the big tent and hang out, waiting for Patcher Moldwarp to arrive.
You are able to spot the mayor & his wife approaching the big tent at about 11 AM. If you recall correctly, he was turned into a frog that first day a little after 12 PM.
Olwer asks Erevan how he'd like to proceed with saving the mayor from toadification. He notes they have a bit of time to work up a plan.
And he gets some food!

LOL, terrible roll
Editing is giving me trouble
TLDR flubbed Deception check, did well on Insight
That Deception check is NOT a 13. It rerolled, somehow. I rolled a Nat 1. Please ignore the 13 and go with an 8 (1 plus 7).

After wracking your brain for a minute, you remember it happened shortly after noon. That’s in less than an hour at this point.
