I'm an experienced DM looking to try PBP. I'm looking for a small group (4 players max) for a casual but RP-heavey game. I am looking to run Hoard of the Dragon Queen, Storm King's Thunder, or an original story in vanilla Faerun. If you're interested, pitch a character and let me know what module (or lack thereof) you prefer.
I'd be up for just about any Faerun based adventure and have never played Storm King's Thunder so that is appealing.
Despite playing quite a bit of 5e in recent years I still have yet to play a wizard and would really like to. I thus was recently brainstorming ideas for a non-traditional wizard and one idea that came up was a warforged wizard. I envision all kinds of possibilities including the warforged not knowing who its creator was, not knowing how new spells are suddenly in his index (upon leveling), having a few very specific personality quirks (for a reason that is a bit of a secret), using Minor Illusion to project his spell book for study or to visually show what his history checks reveal a la R2D2, etc. etc. etc. The warforged would be looking to understand the world and its place in it, thus asking a lot of questions to the PC's & NPC's, which if course could generate a lot of role play, or just be a burden depending on how people feel about that! haha. Hopefully much more the former.
In the end there would be room for the DM to reveal at some point who the creator was, even if I don't know, but it's also not necessary at all. Hopefully this character concept leaves a lot of room for creativity and role play. Thanks!
I would love to play a tiefling of Beshaba's bloodline. It's in the lore that she has tieflings descended from her who have antlers instead of horns. I would go with a College of Whispers Bard who travels the Sword Coast living off of luck. Despite their descent from Beshaba they would worship Tymora as well, and so try to balance good and bad luck in the world. I picture someone who has a coin with one of the goddesses on each side who makes decisions by flipping it. Someone who might go out of their way to help someone one day and then play a prank on them the next.

Iymbryl; Elven Eldritch Knight in DM Jynne's LMoP,
Maker; Vect Wizard of Automata in Conspiracy in the Stars,
Valhik Steeltemper, Gnome Blood Hunter in Archie's Tomb of Annihilation,
Kallaia, Tiefling Bard in Minotaur's Storm King's Thunder
I would be alright in either module or the original story campaign. While I've played a fair bit of 5e I've never played a bard before nor have I done a play by post. So
Ceal Donall, half-elf bard, college of eloquence, and his axebeak, Brighid.
While he can play several instruments, he is first and foremost a storyteller, delighting audiences from town to town with colorful tales of adventure and intrigue. In combat, his very words are laced through with bardic magic.
His constant companion as he wanders the vast wilds and rowdy taverns is a large red riding bird named Brighid. He holds her in deep affection and high esteem, possibly higher than most intelligent creatures he meets. Even though she can be moody and often times violent, he seems to overlook these traits in favor of her steadfast loyalty and gentleness (towards him at least).
I'd like any module. Warlocks are all new to me. Most of the time I play wizards but would like to try a caster for whom magic isn't something natural and understood but a present or maybe a punishment.
Rendell, Half-elf warlock.
In my youth my parents had a flourishing business in gems. Until a crime syndicate took over the business. My parents were stubborn people and were not planning to just quit their life's work. What first started with small harassments gradually became more fysical until one day the business burned down. With my parents in it. I was only 16 years old and full of vengeance. One night I got drunk and after ending up on the street someone approached me with a proposition; unlimited power for my signature....

I have yet to play a cleric and druid, so i think i would get the holy man off the list. For the concept i was thinking about a "reglular dude" who is doing some church work in his town. When his wife gets sick he resorts to dark rituals and instead of curing her, he raises her as an undead. He locks her in his cellar and now he travels to find a way to reverse his magic. I think all grave domain, unity domain, life domain and death domain could work. Nature domain could give some shamanistic flair too.
That sounds good to me! Pondering starting my war forged with one level of Artificer, if the DM is ok with it, for some extra fun stuff before going all wizard from there. Not sure what the multi class requirements are for Artificer, however. 13 INT? I'll have to purchase it on DnD Beyond to officially find out.
Okay, we're starting at level one. Please use standard starting equipment. Everyone also gets on magic item from whatever table Bag of Holding is on. (I can't look up the letter right now, sorry.)

Hex, 10Cent, James, and Tumblebee. We have a Party! I'll be setting up the thread soon.
Great, really looking forward to it.
Excellent! Wizard, two bards and a warlock. Step 1: hire muscle for gold! ;)
Why hire muscle? With our charisma combined we should be able to talk our way out of any situation (fingers crossed).

Yeah who needs muscle if you can talk em to death ☺️. Can't wait
