Character Name: Carota Ferrumfiliusconditor Character Race: Dragonborn (Gold) Character Class: Paladin (Oath of Devotion) Character Alignment: Lawful Good Character Background: City Watch / Investigator
Uncommon Magic Item: +1 Longsword Character Backstory:
Carota grew up in the Tumbledown, just outside the city walls of Baldur's Gate. He had been orphaned as a very young boy and was raised by dwarves. Trying to make sure he kept some of his dragonborn heritage, his parents tried to translate their last name into something they thought sounded draconic - Ironfoundersson became Ferrumfiliusconditor. His first name was Thorotan but the neighborhood children took to calling him Carrot because of this golden/orangish hue.His parents were honest but not overly clever and were never able to drag themselves out of the Tumbledown. Carota, however, never noticed the poverty around him. He has an never ending supply of optimism and good cheer. And despite not having much to give him, his parents instilled a strong sense of honor and justice in Carota.
A strong back and sense of purpose did eventually get him out of Tumbledown and noticed by the Flaming Fist. And it quickly became apparent that he was more than happy to take on the city watch patrol jobs that no one else in the Flaming Fist really cared for. Lessor criminals in Carota's district either moved to other districts or took honest jobs just so they didn't have to listen to the lectures he gave whenever they were caught. Carota would express disappointment in them that they were letting their parents down with this life of crime they lead.
Happy in his work, he advanced to the rank of Gauntlet. He returned every few days to Tumbledown to see his parents and to attend services at a small makeshift temple attended mostly by dwarves where he would always have to duck. The temple was to Clangeddin Silverbeard. Over time the priests encouraged his devotion and taught him how to act as a vessel to channel Clangeddin’s energy. Carota was incredibly pleased when he found he was able to cure a local beggar of leprosy.
After a while, even his superior officers in the Flaming Fist started to give him a wide berth just so they don't have to hear his thoughts on justice, and honor, and criminal's rights and improvements that could be made at the jail. It was also tiresome to have such a dedicated officer around when they were trying to accept bribes and payoffs. So they decided it was time for Carota to be ‘seconded’ away.
He was sent to help with the Doomvault clearing, his superiors hoping he might not make it back.
Carota, rather than being Lawful Good, is Lawful and Good. He follows the law and has a good heart. He loved his job with the city watch as he gets to meet all sorts of people and can steer the wayward back on to the right path with a good talking to. He had no idea the Flaming Fist were corrupt or self-serving. It would be hard for him to even imagine. But because he is good at his job they more or less left him alone and avoided him until they just couldn’t anymore.
Backstory: Blinded by a chromatic burst, (so i cannot see, don't know how you will portray this.) Exodus made his way thought the streets of waterdeep as a child, taking the odd job when he could. In social class he rose until he eventually became a part of Force Grey, going as far as to establishing his own branch of the elite organization: The Grey Hunters. Now a established government man and a bounty hunter, one question remains: Who is he?

Character Name: Gildas Character Race: Scourge Aasimar Character Class: Paladin 2 / Bard (Sword) 7 Character Alignment: Chaotic Good Character Background: Entertainer
After Gildas parents left for some foolish quest, his grandparents raised him and his four brothers and sisters in a rundown shack in Beggar's Nest of Neverwinter. He has not very fond memories of his childhood due to the fact that many people found him strange and odd: he could cure little wounds by touch and conjure light. Being alone most of the time, Gildas started to sing to keep himself company, one day a traveling entertainer noticed the young boy and took him in and taught him the trade. He left Neverwinter with him and together they travelled several cities and villages over the years. One night as he was wandering alone in an old theater he heard a woman's voice singing, the woman was glowing with a white and warm light. The woman's song was about Gildas, about what he was going to accomplish in the future. As soon as Gildas approached the woman, she vanished in a flash of light leaving behind an old chain mail, a pair of short swords and a rose pendant. Seeing this as sign of Tymora, Gildas armed himself and after bidding farewell to his bard master started his career as adventurer.
Backstory: He’s a locksmith who got caught dipping into the guild’s coffers. Not a soul would take him on in honest work after that. He’s left with riskier work, and that’s only after a group of hirelings took him on, and generally try not to bring up his name in certain circles. He checks the wanted posters before entering towns now, just in case.
Name: Nikolas Skulisson. Race/Subrace: V. Human (Sentinel feat). Class/Subclass: Paladin, Oath of Redemption. Backstory:
Was part of an army, wasn't any different from any other soldier though. After a long service, began to enjoy the killing and fighting. At the end of a fierce battle, his company was defeated and he was about to get killed, or so he thought. The ones who defeated his company were a group of paladins who offered him a second chance, in return he should strive to improve himself and others, making good deeds to redeem himself. This act of mercy reminded him of the old days before the army and touched his heart. Or to be more precise, he chose not to throw his life away. Only while serving the paladins as a squire he began to understand what they meant. Now, he's wandering around the world trying to do good deeds and seek redemption. Though he does believe in his deity, that belief is very subtle as it's of lesser value to him. Much more important to him are the honesty and redemption which he seeks.
Backstory: Rol'or a gold dragon, his parents were hunted from their village by Aarakocra dragon slayers who run this territory by a bandit tyrant who rewards people for dragon scales equal to the scales weight in gold. The dragons parents hid their child in a tree stump and ran off to lead the slayers away never to be seen again. Found by a wizard Rolikor who saw him as an opportunity to study the life cycle of a dragon. The wizard took in the dragon, not giving him a name only calling him "dragon", for Rolikor what started as a study became a loving bond between the dragon and the wizard. Raised by this wizard Rolikor, the dragon had plenty of opportunity to hone his sorcery and become quite powerful.
One night as they were sleeping Rolikor woke the dragon who was now 20 years of age, Rolikor told him to hide in a small area under a false floor. As he's hiding hearing shouting and commotion, not wanting to disobey and ruining any sort of plan Rolikor might have he stays hidden. A few minutes after the noises stop the house is engulfed in flames, he jumps from the hiding spot shouting for Rolikor, seeing Rolikor laying on the floor beaten half to death. He goes over and cradles the wizard fearful not knowing what to do, fore he knows no healing spells, Rolikor cradles the dragons hands in his own and says
" dragon, this was not your fault I knew the risks of harboring a dragon in this territory, I found you in the forest alone. I took you in for study not expecting you to live long without your mother, but against all odds you survived, I kept you for study; but I raised you for love. I think it is time you had a name, you will be... Rol'or, my son."
The wizard dies in Rol'ors arms, filled with rage and grief, from a burst of sheer emotion the flames consuming the house spiral into the air forming a sphere of flame mid air, the sphere explodes with a thunderous boom scorching the forest around the house. In that moment he vows to never let anyone else be harmed because of him ever again by becoming a cleric along his sorcery.

Backstory: Mortimer rarely smiles. He walks with a noticeable limp and carries himself as if he’s smaller than he already is. His head is on a swivel and his eyes are always moving. Is he cursed? Is he mad? Maybe both. Mortimer left his agrarian lifestyle while he was young and joined a nearby militia to “see the world”. He does not talk about the things he has seen nor done, except possibly during his fitful dreams and frequent night terrors. He has found that inactivity is unbearable so he seeks out adventure to soothe his mind and provide distraction to the demons that haunt him.

Character's Name: Petrichor
Race/Class: Water Genasi/Druid
Backstory: Petrichor was born to humans who abandoned her at birth for being a genasi. She grew up in a foster home for abandoned children with a name the priestesses gave her. But when--at the age of 11--she ran away to join a merchant vessel, she also changed her name to Petrichor and never looked back.
At 16 her vessel was attacked and overrun by pirates looking not only for their goods but to capture and enslave everyone onboard. When the pirates came came for her, her previously unknown Druidic powers burst out of her and she created a great waterspout that sunk the pirate vessel. Upon seeing their vessel sunk, most of the rest of the pirates surrendered rather choosing to fight to the death--Petrichor had saved half her crew.
After her Druidic awakening, she knew this was what she wanted to do with her life--fight those who would wrong innocents. So the first thing she did after making it back to shore was sign up with the closest naval vessel looking for help, and she has been on that vessel ever since. Helping to fight pirates and everything else, keeping the nasties away from simple merchant crews like she used to belong to, Petrichor feels more at home on her vessel than she ever has before. But occasionally, a problem will arise onshore that needs her attention, and in those cases she is always ready and willing--just let her get her land legs back under her first.
Background: Growing up as an orphan Kai only knew one thing about his birth parents, they were taken or killed by dragons and the dragonborns. Neglected and rejected for the majority of his life he had no choice but to become a sleight of hand expert and quickly became one of the realm's most infamous thieves. He believes his purpose in life is to figure out if his parents are still alive and the dragon's reasoning for causing their disappearance.
