Though still put off by Skip's behavior, and not yet fully understanding the behavior of thorn just yet, Rudick kept his focus on the surroundings. "So the family's name is Durst, perhaps? Hm... But regardless of their.. appetites, I doubt they'd name their doors as such. No, there's..-..." He trailed off from there, and without waiting much for a response from Skip, moved to step into whatever chamber lied beyond Gustav's door -- just for a good peek inside, confirming a growing suspicion.
Turning and staring haughtily at Sergei, Skip asks in a shrill tone “Who are you calling sadistic? Not everyone living here is a monster! And why are YOU going in there? I didn’t say to go in there. We need to keep moving. We need to find our.....their parents”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Alev puts his hand on Skip's shoulder to try to calm him down. "Oh, I'd say the parents are pretty sadistic. They left their children to die, alone in a room with no way out while they were doing only the Gods knows what, and that's not getting into the other creepy things we have found. So can you chill already, please?"
Even though he knows Sergei is probably right, he will take a step back to take a peek into one of the stone doors, too curious to just ignore them. He checks the one labeled "Elizabeth Durst", looking around for anything that could be a trap before trying to enter.

As this is happening, Thadalas crowds the hall into the room in the other side. He says to the group, "This room has the same thing, but the doors say Rose and Thorn."
Rudick plainly ignored Skip's last barb, and brushed off Sergei's initial jest. But when it came to the inquiry, he cannot but snort in presumed amusement. "Means either they were never filled, or we can expect some walkers of the unliving kind. Either which way, running off on our own as Lucan seems to have done secretly will be a bad idea." He sighs and shakes his head, then without missing a bit, made his way over to the now presumed future kyrpt of Thorn.
With yet a lingering thought of trepidation, he carefully took out the kid's bones, and would set about laying them in whatever coffin or alcove seemed appropriate. The same thing he did -- or more accurately -- /would/ do after saying a muddling through some half-remembered prayers. If anyone looks at him funny for doing so, or might protest due to the nature of the home, he says, "We do not choose whose blood we belong to, or what they've done. But, it is ours as well as there's... These two did not have a chance to right the wrong of their foolish predecessors.. ancestors.. whatever. So, if in part to see us safely out of here at the least, I will play that part in their place, so that they may rest easily where they are meant to be."
(In case it matters, the spoiler is just a rough excerpt of what Rudick said in prayer):
"Though Dusk has fallen signalling yet another end to the day's toil, fear not the loss of peace it brings. In rest and in dreams, spin, twist, and hammer yet more wonders of the mind. For they will be your guide in the coming day... And when that final dusk those yet set for you in life, go in peace knowing it has yet not ended. For if not the great workshop awaits you, then... know your wonders shall yet be a guiding light for those to follow."

As you gently place the bones in their respective tombs, a faint breeze springs up in the depths of the tunnels that carry the faint scent of flowers, specifically roses. You see a light form in front of you the shifts into Thorn. Skip, Rose leaves your body and appears next to Thorn. She says tearfully, "Thank you. Thank you so much." She embraces Thorn in a loving hug as they fade away in front of you, finally finding their rest.
"...Well, that explains why you were acting so weird." Alev said to Skip. He looks mournfully to the place where the kids faded away. "They did nothing to deserve this. I hope that at least they are now in peace." He says, with a somber tone that sounds weird coming from him.
He turns when he hears Sergei's question. "I thought he was with you." He caws, confused. "You don't think that something happened to him, don't you?"

Worried about what happened to Lucan, the party moves down the hall they were originally moving through. You come to a room with a plain wooden table flanked by long benches. Moldy humanoid bones lay strewn on the dirt floor. The table has several chipped and broken plates on it. Dark blood stains the surface. In the middle of the South wall is a darkened alcove.
What catches most of your attention are the two figures prone on the ground. One of them has serpentine features while the other wears tattered clerical robes. They are near a wall. Wrapped around them are fine, silvery chains. The chains lead to an a small hole in the wall. A faint aura of enchantment and abjuration cling to the chains.
Leann, one day while you were walking along a road between two cities, a strange mist rose from the ground around you. It became thicker and thicker until you could no longer see anything but mist. Walking around, the most suddenly lifted to reveal you were in a town till of decrepit buildings. Howls and monstrous screams filled the air. Turning a corner, Tomm ran into you.
Tomm, you had just managed to stay one of Strahd's political puppets in the town of Barovia. As revenge, Strahd sent a swarm of werewolves and undead horrors to slay you. You began to run from them and snack into Leann as you turn a corner.
You both see a swarming horde of monster just behind you, and you both duck into the closest building for shelter. You slam the door behind you, and you can feel beasts clawing at the door, but they do not enter. Relieved, you two begin to explore th house to round the resident. You instead find a house full of evil. You both make your way into a secret basement and into the room I described before. You both see a strange piece of silver jewelry embedded in the wall. On of you touches it, and chains burst from the wall and wrap around you. At those touch, an unnatural sleep falls upon you.
Sergei approaches the two figures, noting that they appear to be alive. Prisoners of this place? Is it another trick, or could they become allies if freed? Sergei examines the chains and attempts to remove them.
"Hm... More victims of the house by the looks of things." Rudick muses aloud as he too approached the unconscious figures. Unable to see the enchantments on the chains(unlike Serie), but mayhaps presuming them to be so in some fashion given the strangeness of the uniqueness of them all the same, he first watches as Sergei attempts to remove them; curious to see if they even can. And if not, he heads over closer to the wall with handaxe in hand instead, and ready to test if Orcish strength and a fine axe might do the trick...

When he sees the two unconcious figures, Alev's first thought is that this might be yet another trick of the house, so he stays back while the others check on them. "...Are they dead?" He asks.
He glances at them and sees that they seem like members of a church, what with the guy wearing clerical robes and the woman having a shield with what he recognized to be the symbol of a god, though he didn't remembered which one. A Cleric and a Paladin. Could they have ended up here while hunting for the werewolves like us?

You attempt to pry the chains from their body. With great difficulty, the chains begin to move. They cling to their bodies with a cold tenacity. The more chains you remove, the more the people begin to stir from their slumber. Thadalas comes over and helps. With his help, you eventually remove the chains. Both figures stir and move. They are on the brink of waking.
When Tomm and Leann come to, you see a group of curious individuals standing around you. A young human man holds silvery chains and is crouched in the ground near you.

Tomm is a human man, in his late 30s and stands about 6ft tall. Sergei says, trying to insert a laugh as though he is nonchalant, really just trying to not to sound skittish or too nervous,
”I doubt we’ll find the exit in those things. Let’s go further down the hall, leave these doors alone.”
Turning and staring haughtily at Sergei, Skip asks in a shrill tone “Who are you calling sadistic? Not everyone living here is a monster! And why are YOU going in there? I didn’t say to go in there. We need to keep moving. We need to find our.....their parents”
