This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nibor breathes deeply, seeing Grimjaw fall he catches Rollo's eye and gives a nod, he's conflicted and clearly struggling with how events have escalated.
It's not much my lady but I hope it helps he casts Bless on Aura, Yara and Coal
Keeping his distance from the Fathomer he commands the spiritual weapon to take a swing, 24 to hit for 8 damage
Coal raises a gauntlet towards the fathomer. I’m really not fond of tentacles! He launches a blast of lightning energy from the gauntlet. Bless 4. Attack: 18 Damage: 15
The lightning punches into the fathomer and arcs violently back and forth within her transformed body. Her scream is swiftly cut off as the covalent bonds between the water are disrupted by the electricity and she breaks apart into a puddle on the floor
Yara let’s out a loud yawn and rubs her eyes. She squints at Nibor, having never seen a tortle before and seems curious for a second.
Weariness from the battle however, overcomes her curiosity and she walks over to the hearth in the hall, placing her great axe down and flopping down into one of the chairs, I sleep now. You’s wake me when time to leave.
Her statement is followed not long after by a series of loud snoring sounds as she appears to have fallen asleep.
After securing the doors, Nibor and the others recount what happened in the time they were separated. Evening turns quickly to night and they all find somewhere to sleep. Aura offers to take the first watch, as she has a lot to think about.
Nibor straightens (as much as a Tortle can) and pats Coal's hand graciously for the assist
Thank you my friend
Now things have seemed to settle he surveys the destruction from the fight, he heads to the passage Merry was thrown towards and places his head against the wall listening and tapping with his staff, searching for anything that could be seen to trigger the opening investigation13
MERRY, MERRY CAN YOU HEAR ME!
He looks back to the group, any ideas friends? If I am correct this was once a keep of an order known as the Knights of the Silver Horn. A clever enough sort going back some time, it's likely there's a switch or something nearby. I suggest we should remain vigilant in case there's any other surprises hereabouts...
Coal takes the time to recuperate his arcane energies and also changes his armour to a more sturdy variant. Afterwards he looks at Rollo’s musket. I can improve that be thinks to himself. The tattoos on his forearms fade as he releases the magic in then and he focuses it into the axe. Until he releases the magic his musket now has a +1 enchantment on it (to hit and damage) and counts as magical for overcoming damage resistances, it also ignores the loading quality for multi attacks
As Nibor tap taps away at the wall, he finds the hidden door. He notices some wear on a floor tile beside where the void in the walls seems to be. Standing on it makes a soft click and he is then able to push the hidden door open. It rotates on a central support rod.
With no traps detected in the wall or apparent in the tunnel, the group proceeds on. You descend a spiral staircase that leads to a torchlit chamber where two boats bob in an underground stream. There is a mooring point for a third, but no boat. The stream flows toward daylight to the east and leads upstream into darkness toward the west.
The reaver closes down on Aura as well
Attack: 14 Damage: 9
Aura wheels round to capitalise on the reaver's swing and miss
Attack: 16 Damage: 16
2
The reaver's arm is taken off at the shoulder and he falls unmoving
Yara, realising that none of her attacks are actually hitting, goes into a frenzy with reckless abandon.
She let’s out a roar in almost a tantrum-like way and swings her great axe to and fro at the fathomer.
Attack: 25 Damage: 11
Attack: 16 Damage: 7
Both of her attacks hit home on the fathomer.

The mace hits its mark. The fathomer serpent looks rocked

Coal walks over to Nibor and places a hand on his shoulder. You’re looking a bit banged up Nibs here. He casts Cure Wounds healing him for 8

Yara having woken from her deep sleep, picks up her great axe and walks over to where Nibor is.
She presses her foot down on the floor tile that Nibor has found and tilts her head at the hidden door.
Strange wall. She grunts as she scans for any traps.
Survival 5
Rollo thanks Coal and eyes and aims up the improved weapon.
He then goes to assist Yara with the wall

Coal will produce flame to light the way and nods towards the tunnel. Shall we?

Daylight will send us back towards the jetties we sabotaged yesterday. The darkness is probably towards wherever they’ve taken Merry
