This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kina is keen to feel a little comfort after what they've just been through together, and as Bart shows more signs of exhaustion, she easily picks him up and moves him to a proper resting place.
((And just for fun))
Disposition roll: 53
She decides not to leave Bart's room. When he wakes up, he finds himself tangled in her arms as she used him as a space heater during the night, having decided to toss a blanket over her lower body instead since there's just not enough sheet for her entire body.
Barnabus mills around the outpost for a bit talking to other soldiers. He spends some time training, perfecting his battle maneuvers. After his workout the warrior starts to look for the rest of the group. He starts in the tavern from the night before.
Bright and early in the morning, the captain calls everyone together. He walks into the tavern with Rachel and motions for breakfast to be brought over for everyone. Rachel is carrying a bundle of parchment and looks like she has yet to get any sleep.
Not even waiting for everyone to settle in, let alone food to be brought over, the captain opens with, "Pardon my poor manners, but we've got a problem. A BIG problem. Rachel was kind enough to lead the team last night going over the information you found. In the list of names alone, we've come across numerous ones that we recognize from positions in the Watch, as well as positions in almost every one of the city governments." He stops for a moment to let that sink in. Nodding at the gravity of the news, he continues, "we have yet to find any names from here in Moorsedge, so this may be the only safe haven from whatever this is for the time being. The good news is, it doesn't seem to have gotten to the upper levels of government, but they have infiltrated most of the supply and administrative offices."
With a very distraught look, he almost begs, "Can we count on you to go back and try to find the source of this cult? We need to know where to find the head to cut it off, but we need to do it quietly, so I can't go through official channels."
Rachel spreads some of the documents out on the table, separating out a map, "According to this map we found, the hallway we saw past the barracks continues for some distance before surfacing somewhere further north in the moors, and the main compound is almost 3 days march, errrr, hike from there. We still haven't figured out why the gnolls and bugbears were at the outpost, unless this cult has some sort of working agreement with them. If they do, that could be an even worse problem, possibly giving them access to open an attack route against us here where our defenses are minimal at best." Rachellooks to be on the verge of tears, either from stress or exhaustion, or both, and looks like she is about to say something else, but just doesn't have the energy to continue.

Cade glances over the map, peeking out from behind a bigger member of the party. He shrinks back once he has a chance to get a look at it. Peeking back out, his hand fiddling with the wooden block hanging from a thong around his neck, he says. "I am in." Then he shrinks back out of sight as much as possible.
Bart is the happiest you have ever seen him he is singing and whistling and even dancing while heading to the table. He tries to get serious as the captain talks but sneaks a few smiling looks toward Kina. As he hears Rachel's exhaustion and sadness he says "Hey Rachel... You have done an amazing job you know that?" and gives her bardic inspiration (Even though there is no combat). As the conversation ends with his members agreeing he says " Of course I will go. What ever will you do without my beautiful singing voice." He laughs lightly and says "If its with this amazing group of heroes and of course next to the beautiful Kina I will tread till the ends of the earth!"

Kina has no hesitation whatsoever. "If it will put an end to this madness, I'll go wherever this takes me. People are losing their families at the whim of some creature, I can't stand by and do nothing about it." she states. "And I've gotten accustomed to being undeservedly flattered throughout the day." she remarks as she rests her arm around Bart's neck in a playful headlock and rubs the side of his head up against her pillowy chest.

The captain smiles at all of you, Rachel puts her head down on the table and begins to snore lightly. "Thank you, thank you all! Our supplies are at your disposal," he says in soft tones, trying to avoid waking the young lady. "If you would have her accompany you, I think you will need to delay your departure until tomorrow, otherwise, I will leave your schedule up to you." Pushing the map over to Barnabus, "you should probably take this with you. We scribed a copy of it, but who knows if there is more on the original that will reveal itself later that will prove important."
Just then, a pair of servers arrive at the table and begin clanking down plates and cups, only to be shushed by the captain pointing at Rachel, who doesn't even stir.
Barnabus takes the map and in a hushed tone says, "I'm going to take the young lady back to the barracks. We will most likely need a cleric in our company so I say we give her the time she needs to recover. Besides it will give us time to supply and to work on some strategies. Maybe after breakfast meet me on the training field and I will demonstrate what I'm speaking of." The dwarf moves around the table and gently scoops up his fellow soldier and takes her to her bunk. After getting her tucked in (hopefully with out waking) he will head over to the designated training area. There he sets up a couple practice effigies about 10 feet apart and awaits on to the others to join him.
Wil nods in agreement, “While you take her back, I’d like to study the map if you don’t mind.” Wil is going to try and commit it to memory as best he can incase something happens to the map.
Kina meditates on the happenings of the past few days. The music is calming, and she allows it to assist her in diving into her inner strength a little further. She mustn't allow doubt or fear to dissuade her from seeing this through, and she certainly has enough doubt as it is, after her performance in the past few battles. When she comes out of her meditation, she feels a little lighter, the clarity of her thoughts translates to more coordinated movements, as if she chose to improve her stats instead of going for a feat for level 4. ;3
In gratitude for the soothing music, she gently blows against what she figures would pass for an ear on Bart to distract him with a little idle flirting to see if he messes up his playing.

Cade helps himself to the food, silently listening to the others as he eats. Once done he will meet those who go to the training field, wondering what is expected there. He takes a seat and is ready to watch.
Once done with breakfast and studying the map (being careful not to get any food on it), Wil rolls up the map, put it in its case, and heads over to join Barnabus and see what he has planned.
(It is wrong to want to have Wil say, "Yo, what up B?" whenever he greets Barnabus? Asking for a friend.....)
(OCC: Just thought we could RP a little about our feats and abilities. Don't feel you have to post. We can move on to movin' on at any point.)
Barnabus smiles as each member of the group assembles. "Thank you all for joining me. So my thought was that it might be better to discuss some basic formations and tactics so we can be a more effective team. Not that we ain't a force to be reckoned with mind you, I just think we could be more efficient. So first thing I noticed was that we seemed to be out of position or questioning where to move next at times. I would like to propose a new walking order. To do that lets talk about what might be the best roll for each of us. I think it worked really well for Wil or Bart or Rachel to fire around me while I provided cover with my shield (protection fighting style). But I can only reach so far so everyone must try and stay within five feet if possible. Not only can I give cover but I can use my shield to push targets into a better target position. (Shield master) I think that Cade and I would make for a formidable front wall. Is bear form you're only choice? A somewhat smaller animal like a wolf might give us more agility and advantage. (pack tactics) It might help me distract (distracting strike) or knock a weapon free (disarming strike). This would give our archers extra time to place their shots. It would also allow Bart to inspire us into battle. Kina if you trail back just a bit you'll be at the perfect distance to use that devastating charge of yours and in closer your reach will be to your advantage. Wil I'd leave it up to you to direct the battle. From your position in the middle you'll be able to keep both ends of the column covered as well as call out instructions to all. Rachel will also be in a better position to support as well. This formation is for any time we can or have to walk in single file. Should we get caught in the open I suggest we form a triangle with Cade, Kina, and me self at the points and paired with one of the other three back to back in the middle. The same combat actions apply only in pairs." Barnabus paces and hops excitedly around through the entirety of his little speech. His illustrates various points by mock attacking one of the practice dummies or by giving Fife a flourished twirl. Once finished he settles into a relaxed position with his arms resting on the head of Fife.
(OCC:oh and tell your friend that Barnabus would love it! I've kinda been waiting for someone to shorten it to Barn or Barney.)
“Well, if you want me to direct I can do that. As you all could probably tell, I’m best at either a long ways off with a bow or up close and personal with my daggers, though I’m better with my bow than my daggers. I can also try to slow our attackers down (Ensnaring Strike), affect several of them at once (Hail of Thorns), or focus on a particular enemy (Hunter’s Mark).”
(OCC: bout time somebody got the joke. I was going to name the shield Andy partly cause I liked the rhyme "keep Andy handy" but mostly so cause he hides behind it like Barney. 😆)
"Perfect! Oh, and you should hang onto that map. Probably better suited to it than myself."
