Rachellistens to Wil's experience, and nods, "Likely was nothing but the atmosphere here, but we still need to be on our guard for whatever is around."
As the group continues south, the passage appears to be a dead end, but as you get closer to the terminus, you can see that it is in reality a stone door. (From the south, it is actually VERY well concealed, but approaching from the north it is easily detected.)
The whispers in your mind about The One continue, becoming a bit more forceful now.
Bart: You realize that the door is to allow easy access from the annex area you are coming from, but designed to be hidden from anything on the other side of the door.....aka a good fall-back and resting place if needed.
Kina is trying hard to keep the voices at bay, occasionally punching at the wall to snap herself out of lingering on the whispers for too long. "This 'One' is going to find itself turned into the 'many little pieces' if it doesn't shut up..." she grumbles irritably. "I suppose I should have studied more in the arcane schools... most centaurs don't put much stock in the study of civilizations, given we try to stay out of them for the most part..." she mutters. She doesn't have anything useful to contribute, as there's nothing for her to punch at present. "If it is really so old... I suppose that means too that we don't have much chance of knowing exactly what we're up against..."

Kina is still trying to use her very average mind to puzzle out what they're actually facing. "You don't suppose this is like one of those ghost stories, where the skull longs to be reunited with its body, do you?" she wonders aloud. "But if the skull is malicious, shouldn't that mean we should be keeping it away from a place that is also full of malice? Or maybe whatever lurks in it isn't a fan of 'The One' and just wants revenge before crumbling to dust..." Kina realizes she's running off at the mouth and makes a face. "Sorry, just trying to keep talking so I don't hear the whispers."
"Maybe you should carry the skull then." Cade says, offering it to the centaur. "I stopped hearing the whispers once I picked up the skull." He informs her.
Beyond the semi-secret door at the end of the hall is a circular room, draped in ancient cobwebs. Fife is silent and nothing stirs overhead. A single passage exits to the east.

Kina carries the skull with all the other stuff she hauls around. "Wait, why? What does it do? Ooooooh..." she says, puzzling at the sudden silence. "Huh..." she muses, then hands it back to Barnabus, then takes it again, gives it back, takes it, amused by the skipping record effect going on in her head, before she finally holds it aloft. "I shall name you Deadhead, whose personality is so bland and suffocatingly banal that even The One avoids him. Thank you for your service, Deadhead." she says, holding the boxed skull like it's a stage prop. "I like cloth." she pantomimes with the skull responding in a dull, bored voice. "You sure do, Deadhead!" Kina replies, tucking it back into her saddlebag.

(Cade can have the skull, as I don't believe anyone else said they were taking it. If someone did, and I just missed it, then ignore this.)

(Yes Barney took it from Rachel when she said she didn't want to touch it anymore.)
Seeing Bart scrutinize the door gives Barnabus pause. "Did I miss something!? I thought it was just a door."
