Kina, upon seeing the baker's daughter, is caught like a deer in headlights. Thoughts of 'junior' flash through her head. If she attempts to circumvent the hold of The One, she may make things worse... but they're inside the lair of their enemy, if they DO surrender now, it's all over for ALL of them. Even if The One exerts whatever foul will it has to cause the hostages to kill themselves, she HAS to try again. She can't go back to the Shire and face her father without telling him she at least tried to bring her back alive.
"You know The One is a lie! I know the pull it has, and I will knock you senseless to rip you out of its grip if I have to!" she calls at her. She attacks the priest next, and with her strike, attempts to knock him unconscious as well.
"Aye the one has you in his grip" confirms Barnabus. "It's not our desire to harm you, nor you us, but this ancient evil is controlling you and we can not allow its evil to take root. We will stamp it out at every turn. Fight the hold it has on you. See the truth. Let us help you." Barnabus sees the crack in the mental hold and tries to persuade a change of heart. (Persuade: 19

Barney, the halflinglooks at you like you've grown a second head, but says nothing.
Cade, you jaws snap shut on something solid, and you catch the musky smell of gnome as you do, as your claws make contact and a splatter of blood accompanies your swipe.
Rachel, moving towards the gathering, catches sight of the strike and fires her crossbow at the spot: Attack: 12 Damage: 5 and tries again with her Spiritual Weapon: Attack: 12 Damage: 11.
Bartapproaches the halfling, "can you hand me your daggers so we can sit down and talk about The One? We've had some bad experiences and would like to hear your side of the story." As he does, he looks at Kina and motions for her to move around behind the halfling while he has her attention. He then holds out his hands and sits down in front of her.
Shefaces Bart, and hesitates, but hands over her daggers and sits down. "Oh, my, no, The One is MOST wonderful. I remember when I first arrived there was a bunch of us sitting on the floor, or was it on the ground, no, it was a dirt floor, staring at The Light of The One and Hearing the Voice of The One. It was wonderful!" Her voice trails off in remembrance.
Both of Rachel'sattacks find their target as the gnome reappears and collapses.
(We'll assume the rogue is successfully restrained before the spell wears off, and all of the others are properly secured.)
Once you finish securing the cultists, the find that the warrior, wizard and bard have expired. The priest and monk seem to be stable, but still unconscious.

Kina approaches the baker's daughter, sitting down on her withers beside Bart. "Do you remember your father? He's waiting for you. You were taken from your home. OUR home. The shire. That's where home is... not this place." she says, to try and assist Bart in talking some sense into the halfling.

Kina: she looks at you, smiling, "I know, but there is much work that needs to be done here, and I'm learning to improve my skills to better serve. I'll go home to bring The Message of The One to daddy and the rest of the shire once we're done here."
Wiland Barney: in the center of the chamber is a small pile of rubble that appears to have once been a stone chair or throne. A shattered skeleton of rather large size is nearby. The skeleton appears to be humanoid, but the skull looks to be that of a bull. A search of the deceased and the rest of the area only comes up with normal equipment

Seeing the others have completed their search of the chamber, Cade gets to his feet. Mentally he asks, 'Are we ready to see where the rogue there was coming from, or do we wish to reverse and head to the source now?'
Bobstutters, "huh? wha? Oh, sorry, was just thinking. The hallway north leads to store rooms mostly, and a stairway up to the Earth temple. Its a large dirt floored chamber..."
Emily (the halfling)speaks up excitedly, "where you can see The Light of The One!" (Even though the Charm Person has worn off, her attitude has not really changed.)
Bobhuffs at being interrupted, "I know nothing of that, but the central power of the temple would be in the other direction."

Kina looks to the others, and puts a hand on Emily's shoulder. "Before we do that and prepare ourselves to serve the One... can you tell me more about what you've seen here, which places are important? We don't want to embarrass ourselves by getting lost or going someplace we shouldn't." she says, trying to lead the halfling to indirectly tell them a possible objective... if there's anything left of her in there, she would be rendered incapable of speaking against her enchantment, but possibly able answer questions in a roundabout way.

Emilysmiles broadly at you, "Oh, yes! Upstairs in the earthen floored room is the manifestation of The One's Light. The new arrivals are all brought there until they understand and are assigned to their appointed task. Some are assigned to the caravan, others become armorers and blacksmiths. And some, like me, are chosen to train as rogues, or warriors, or priests, and so on. All of the training areas are upstairs too. The main floor is for the caravaners, blacksmiths and such. So, you probably want to go to The Light to get started serving The One!"
