Kina swallows finally, then remembers a trick she learned at the monastery. "There's something I CAN do though, that will avoid smashing to bits whatever's inside. It may have been poorly hidden but it WAS hidden, so it's not meant for us, meaning there's something of importance there." she says, hoisting the chest up and over to the group, laying it on its side. She strips one of the cultists of their belt and puts it around the rim of the chest top, and inserts her staff into a loop that she makes with it, then just starts turning her staff. "The domed top of the chest is made to resist downward strikes to smash through, but the shape of it actually makes the top weak to squeezing pressure." she states. "This will force the rivets out of place and we can just pull the top off when the top warps." she grunts as it starts getting harder to turn her staff.

As Kinalays the chest on its side, the top falls open, revealing a collection of objects and a handful of coins. All told, you find 12pp, a fair-sized gem, a gold chain, a small pair of candlesticks and a small metal box. Barnabus can positively identify the candlesticks as electrum, and the box is made of silver.
The door to this room can be closed and while the bar is cracked, it is still serviceable. The wall breach is only about 2 feet wide so only critters to worry about there.
Now that there's time to look around, the room is a complete mess. Where there are not bedrolls tossed around, there are bits and pieces of broken and rotting furniture. Rags that probably used to be elaborate tapestries still adorn the walls. It would seem that this was once upon a time the chamber of a ranking official, but now barely makes the rating of hovel.
"Agreed. If you don't mind I'll take the final watch. But first lets split up what we have." Barnabus takes out the items and coins ge found in the spider tower.
OCC: I'll get us a split in a bit. I need to double check the finds so far. My notes are on my tablet.
just after the middle of your watch, you hear something out in the main room, but cannot place the sound. It continues for almost half an hour, but does not come near the door. Nothing else of note for your shift.
Wil:
about an hour into your shift you hear the distinctive sound of rats in the main room, lots of squeaks and chewing, lasting about 20 minutes, then silence. Just before the end of your watch there is a commotion outside as the flock of bats you saw taking off the night before returns home to roost somewhere south of your current location in the keep.

Cade passes along what information he has on the sound as he wakes the person for the second watch.
(OOC: I most likely won't be online much tomorrow or Friday, feel free to bot my character as needed.)
Need a perception check for 3rd watch.
More formality than anything, but the characters don't know that! ;-)
