Barnabus -1
(Crap, I meant to edit and add a funny note here but accidentally hit the delete button instead of the return so now I'm going to get a dice roll error. But Ol' Barney just can't seem to wrap his little mind around this. He rolled a -1. Ha never mind got lucky!)
"So fog and air..." Cade says with a frown, but then shrugs as that much thinking seems to have hurt his head somehow. He glances to the others. "What do you want to do next?"
"Well I guess we have to go through those other doors or go back. As far as for me, I prefer to march forward until I can't, so I vote doors." Says Barnabus.
With a majority reached Barnabus moves to the next set of doors. He repeats his previous door opening method of crack it open then peek before entering.
It takes Kina a bit longer to mull over the markings she sees. She's using all five of her brain cells to come up with some kind of theory. She smells burnt toast for some reason. Probably nothing to worry about.
"Just a moment... I think maybe I see something familiar in these back at my monastery... though I paid more attention to the history texts than I did to the philosophical ones in my studies there. Always felt I was already pretty... spiritual already. Definitely regret not studying harder."

you recall tales of a fabled temple based whose religion was based upon the destructive power of elemental forces, but those stories were eons old and the place had supposedly been destroyed ... couldn't be related ... could it?

Kina looks to the others after she's finished working out the hampster powering her brain. "I do recall some old folklore about a temple that was built to try and turn the power of nature into a weapon, kind of like other orders of monks like me who channel elemental forces through their bodies... just on a giant scale. It was supposedly destroyed long ago... so either this is another attempt to do the same thing, or this place might just be far older than we thought, and the One is trying to rebuild it. Given the sheer size of this place... it would have taken a monumental force to reduce it all to ruins, so if it's true... this temple could be a terrible threat to everyone around it." she explains.

"Not exactly sure we got ourselves into it." Cade says with a shrug. "I was grabbed from a nice day of just walking through the woods, then got carted away in that wagon until I escaped." He nods onward. "I'd say we continue moving onward, temple to some ancient earth power or not, we still have to figure out what to do about it."
"Heh, heh, yeah I'd say they picked the wrong ones to kidnap," say Barnabus with a dry chuckle as he leads the group through the doors and down the hall way.
The hallway, crafted from a dark red granite with black streaks, extends 50' to a crossroads. At the juncture, 10' to the north you recognize the outside of the doors to the fog laden room from earlier. To the south, 10' away, is a large, solid bronze portcullis with a winch just to the east in the hallway you just came up. The barrier seems to have taken a severe beating at some point from the opposite side as there are several sizeable bulges protruding towards you. On to the west, the hallway continues another 50' ending in another pair of doors, however the stone here seems to be of a deep blue-green shade.
Fife continues to be silent, there seem to be no threats nearby.

"Probably another element down there." Says Barnabus as he indicates the 50' hallway. "I don't know if we should open the porticullis. At least not until we're sure we don't mind others getting in here. I say we at least go take a look at the room." He casts a quizzical eye on each party member as he awaits their response.
"Seems sound." Cade says with a shrug. "Let's see what those doors open up onto then..." he moves to the doors indicated, but waits for someone else to open them.

Wil and Cade: You do make a connection between the rooms (Fog = Air, Brimstone = Fire) perhaps, but draw a blank after that.

((Sorry sorry sorry. Oh, figures, KJ has history, not religion. Pfft. Not that it would help her much more, the horse girl isn't the brightest.))
