Cade shifts his pack on his shoulder and continues the hike towards town. He checks out the map before reaching it though, wanting to see where it leads from here, then stuffs the map away as he reaches the town itself. He starts looking for an inn or hostil to stay in.
The track shown on the map seems to be a few hours east of the actual town, heading northeast into the swamp. As you come into town, you see a couple of merchant wagons further down the street at what you assume is the local tavern. As you approach, you can see what appear to be rooms to rent on its upper floor.

"I can wrap the body in my cloak for the time being. I don't want little Arin to have to see it." she suggests.
She tucks the robes of the man in tightly to his body and then shrouds him sufficiently that he becomes just a shape.
"Just in case Arin comes 'round when we're not looking." she adds. "I'll carry him to the cemetery. As far as I know. these men are just as much victims as they are the offenders. Something compelled them to attack us and . It has to be stopped." she murmurs.

"Well I truly appreciate the welcome but I'm feelin' it's time to retire. So if you don't mind I'm gonna turn in for the night."
He stands, gives a click of his heals and nod of the head before executing a sharp turn around. He'll leave and go check in at the barracks. If all goes well he is asleep shortly after. His axe within reach at the head of the bed.
The rest of your party agree with you assessment that its time for rest and head over to the barracks with you. They head to their respective rooms/bunks and leave you to check in. All goes without a hitch and you are soon soundly asleep. Morning comes way too soon, but the bustle of the barracks wakes you just as dawn is lighting the sky.

Barnabus rises and after taking care of the usual morning routine heads off to the mess hall. No stranger to barrack life Barnabus offers to help out in exchange for the bed all the while watching for the Sergeant. If his offer is refused he will head to the stockade to check on the kidnappers.
You enter the tavern, and aside from a small handful of patrons, you see a barkeeper leaning against the bar. He nods in greeting to you and as you approach, asks what he can do for you. "Rightly so, we can certainly accommodate you. Would you prefer to overlook the street, or a room at the back? Either way, a silver will cover ye." Once you decide, he directs you to the stair at side of the common room tells you your meal will be up shortly.
Barnabus:
The Sergeant must have left word to be alerted when you were up and about as you no sooner sit down to eat than he sits across from you. "A good morning to you, Corporal, no need to rise, we know each other around here a little too well to worry about most formalities. I hope you slept well, but sad news, I'm afraid. The one chap didn't survive the night, and the other is not responding well to the healers either. Has all of us baffled. The healers are asking to have a look at you to see if it may be something contagious. But, some good news, the runner to Undercity was away at first light, so we should have your identity verified late tomorrow, or early the following day."
Wilhorn and Kina:
You take the body up to the cemetary and find a scorched area nearby, a grim reminder that death is never too far away. A short time of gathering deadwood nearby and you have a proper pyre built, hoping the flames will carry him to a place of rest and peace. Shortly after noon, you are ready to once again hit the road, the only question, take the wagon, or leave it in hopes of making better time?

Kina is somber through the cremation, but the possibilities of the day opening up before her knock her out of her introspection and she's back to considering her current situation and not worrying about what she can't change.
She pats the wagon after she says her goodbyes to her generous hosts. Is it too large to harness Kina up to?

Wil looks at Kina as she sizes up the wagon and harness. "If you want to take the wagon with us be my guest, but I'm not sure we need it. Also, if we are going where I think we're going are you sure you want to be tied up in a harness if we have more, um, enthusiastic friends?" Wil eyes twinkle and has a friendly smile on his face, though at the mention of enthusiastic friends the smile, while still friendly, takes on a hint of predatory nature.
Kina: Unloaded, the wagon is actually fairly light, you could pull it with ease if you so choose.
Barnabus:
Your appointment with the healers comes and goes and with a clean bill of health, the Sergeant looks at you with a smile. "Just as I figured, nothing to worry about there. Now, if you're bored with sitting around, Oakenstump is about to take a patrol out to see if we can find the track shown on your map, would you care to tag along with her?"

He claps his axe against the palm of his hand. The excited fighter can hardly maintain his composure. Much more content to follow orders than to plot them the dwarf almost bounces along as he goes to the muster point to meet the squad.
You meet up with Corporal Oakenstump and 3 other members of the watch, and 1 civilian. She smiles at your approach. "Good to see you again! Are you joining us for a hike today?" As you affirm her question and approach, she asks, "do you still have that map with you? Ol' Fischer here has lived on the edge of the moors his whole life and knows them better than anyone," she indicates the civilian with the group. "If anyone is going to be able to find this mystery track, it'll be him."

Oakenstump and Fischer look over the map for a bit, then the troop leaves town heading east. Closing on the noon hour, Fischer takes the lead, making forays in between the stagnant pools marking the edge of the moors and returning. This goes on for the better part of another hour and a half, when Fischer appears 30 yards ahead of the patrol unexpectedly. Approaching his position, Oakenstump asks, "found it?" "Yup," he answers. "It's right here." Looking into the swamp, no track can be seen. Fischer tugs at your sleeve, and gets you to move a couple of feet to the side and the wheel ruts appear as if by magic. "Whoever it is has taken a lot of trouble to keep this hidden. Ye can walk right past it and never know its here. I followed it for a hundred yards or so, and it keeps on going, so no idea where it ends up." Oakenstump listens and nods, "we had best head back and report this. I don't like the implications that are shaping up here."

"That is stellar work! I'd have never spotted that! I agree this has to be where they were taking me. Now this is really peaking my curiosity. I have no idea what they wanted with me but seeing this makes me concerned for those other names. Makes me wonder if they be down that road. So let us report as we should but lets do it in haste because there may be others waiting."
"I suppose you have a point there, I was just thinking, if you wanted, you could ride in the wagon and it would barely slow me down. I would make a remark about saving your strength but... you're ... haaaalf-elven, unless I'm mistaken?" she asks. "And hardly need to worry about such things."
At Wil's predatory smile, Kina responds.
"That's a fair point. I wouldn't want to be caught in a compromised position should we be attacked. Again. I would prefer to fight only if it's the last resort, however. I have no love of combat, but I understand, sometimes, that it's the only option." she states. She hefts her quarterstaff, showing her weapon of choice.
She rests her quarterstaff on her shoulder.
"So where to for you now? I don't know if you ever answered me, about where you came from and where you were headed to"
