Barnabus snaps to attention at the Captain's arrival his training once again making up for his slower thinking.
"Best question that one before he goes the way of the other followers."
Says Barnabus as he indicates the bound man.
"The last ones didn't stay very fresh for very long."
Barnabus looks towards the groung as he says somewhat sheepishly,
"Course I probably could have been a bit gentler in my handling of them."
"Unless our new arrivals have new intel it would appear that we all have similar goals of getting to the moores so lets get to preparing so we may set off at first light. We'll have plenty of time to swap stories on the road tomorrow. Oh...and thank you Sergeant, boarding and selling the ox would be much appreciated."
Barnabus nods a goodbye and heads towards the supply depot to oversee the requisition of the supplies.
Wil heads to the supply depot and picks up a bundle of 20 arrows, 7 days worth of rations, and, after inquiring about the climate of the area they are heading to, an extra set of climate appropriate clothing.
Barnabus is in the assembly area bright and early, just as the sun is breaking the horizon. He's excited to again be part of a group headed off to face challenges unknown. So excited he can't help but meet the first arrivals with a huge grin.
"Yes." Cade says with a glance around. He would wait for the others to gather, then say... "I have something to show you, or let you experience I guess is a better way to say it." Without any further explanation he speaks directly into each of the group's minds, one at a time.
'This is Cade, I find this way of communicating much easier, so wanted you to be aware of it before we start out...' He eyes each of the group as he gives them all the same message, one at a time.
The Captain, Sergeant and Private Ravenhost approach. "Good morning, all," Sergeant Winslow says, "Captain Traskman here will be accompanying your with his patrol to the end of the trail into the moor. They are going to set camp there to watch any further activity while the rest of you head into the moor with Private Ravenhost." As he nods in her direction, she speaks up, "please, call me Rachel. I prefer less formality if you don't mind." The Sergeant chuckles, "if anyone needs anything, grab it now, otherwise, good luck and safe returns for you all. I still have work that needs done around here." With a nod or salute to each of you, he turns and is off. Rachel says, "I'm ready to go now and the Captain's men will be shortly, but they're on horseback and can catch up if we leave without them."

Welcome to the Emporium of Mayhem! What sort of mischief do you seek today? Pyromaniac Wyldfyre searching for her place in the world.
OOC: Just as clarification, Rachel is going to be a sidekick per Tasha's expansion rules and will stay more to the rear during combat, healing as needed, contributing as possible. Climate in this world is temperate year round. The characters actually have no concept of seasons, as for some reason (that may become clear eventually) the weather is very stable and predictable. And lastly, we will be seeing a fair amount of combat in the near future, for the sake of speed, can everyone give me a list of 3 typical combat actions for close combat, and then ranged combat for normal conditions, and then also for desperate conditions (melee only). Also, please set a marching order for open area and confined (i.e. corridor). I think this will help speed us through what may otherwise slog down progression.

Cade will likely attack with his scimitar in melee, or use thorn whip for more of a ranged option. If in a bigger combat, not really more desperate - just against a larger force, he would transform into a brown bear and use the bite and claw strikes from there. If things get desperate he would fall back on magic, using thunderwave and/or falling back into a more healing roll.
Wil will use his longbow in most all but the closest situations. For the instances where he can use his long bow he uses his one of his two daggers, the first a dirk type dagger with a thick spined (almost half inch) single edged 10 inch yoroi-doshi/tanto type bade (essentially a tanto with a cross guard/hilt), and the second one looks remarkably like a Fairbairn–Sykes fighting knife for use in up close and personal interaction with sentries and such. Wil does carry a longsword, and knows how to use it if needed, it it’s more to distract attention away from his longbow and daggers. Finally Wil also has a general purpose utility knife for dressing game and other “knife” tasks not appropriate for the two daggers.
If caught in an unarmed hand to hand situation, Wil relies on the elven version of aikido that uses dexterity and acrobatics to avoid and redirect opponents rather than trying to use strength.
As far as marching order goes, I assume the group wants a ranger out front on open areas but will defer to the group. For confined areas, wherever the group thinks Wil is best placed.
