OOC: Donar took the map and moved to the front, so it seems he's gonna play navigator. However, that still leaves someone to watch our rear and potentially another to play scout. None of the above roles are Alexander's strengths. He is built to be the mouth of the group, when needed. Proficiency in all CHA checks, minus Entertainment.
OOC: Excellent, my bird life is secured. If we need to know who’s navigating, Xing has a +4 in all Wis skills except for Insight, so I feel that Druid or Cleric might be good, unless they have lower.
Xing cracks his reigns and follows along with rest of the team. “Gold!- Name!- Fame!- Hyah!”
"Looks like we're ready. Lets Go!" Donar shouts while in front; map at the ready prepared to navigate.
OOC: Proficient in Brewer's Supplies + Navigation Tools + Vehicles(Water). +4 in Perception, +4 in Medicine, +4 in Athletics, and Proficient in Religion but that just makes it a +0 instead of -2.
I'd propose for single file (front to back): Donar - Hadran - Xing - Alexander - Feng
I was going to put Xing second (monk hand-to-hand combat), but I might be giving Donar Guidance while he is navigating.
If the road is a bit wider, then: Donar-Xing (front row), Hadran-Alexander (second row), Feng (rear guard)
If Donar doesn't need to be in front (looking at the map, not the road), then Hadran should swap positions with Donar. Hadran has below-average stats (others will have a better bonus), but does have proficiency in nature, survival, and perception.

When the surrounding party and guards look at him quizzically, he explains: "Sorry. It's a goliath custom to invoke nature's protection at the start of a journey. The spirit of the Gathakanathi's mountain is named Jenkins, according to our legends. Nobody's heard from him in over a century, but I still believe he's there. Somewhere."
He falls silent, looking a little dejected (a sad goliath is a pitiful thing indeed). Then he suddenly brightens up.
The city gates scrape open ad you ride out into the dunes kicking up a sandstorm from the thundering hooves flicking dirt and dust like a cyclone. You ride through day and night passing abandoned towns swallowed by the sand. Your horses tire as you reach a small oasis, in the dark of night you can spot a few small palm trees and an ethereal lake. The screeches of wildlife abound and the inky black sky threatens to swallow the waning light of the moon. Do you wish to rest?
"We made good pace today. We should probably rest up near this oasis and start fresh in the morning. Let's set a watch rotation while we are traveling. I don't mind taking the first watch."
Xing raises his hand, “What’s wrong, my pretty? Can’t see in the dark?-” To which he nods, “Take the morning by the horns, bucko!” And gives a thumbs up.

OOC: I forgot, how long is this trip expected to take? That will affect which spells I'll have ready during the trip, or in preparation for the outpost.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"I agree, this place looks amazing to camp. However, I definitely agree that giving a good look over of the area should be done before we get to comfortable" Alexander stated, sliding off of his horse before he reached the palm trees. He patted down his coat, trying to get any dirt off of it that might have built up during the trip, and then glanced around. The last thing he wanted was some kind of a trap to spring up on them.
Investigation19 to see if there are any traps, or things that stand out to him.
OOC: Huh. That was weird. Lets try that roll again 4. Sigh, ignore the second roll. The first one showed as "unable to parse" at first.

Feng pulls up on the reins.
"Wait a minute. All you little people go in front. I'll bring up the rear."
OOC: Makes sense. How good is Xing for stealth? Just to know if it comes to scouting a place whose job it'll be.

DM OOC: could I get the formation you guys will be riding in for story telling purposes.
OOC:
So far it seems to be
Donar
Xing
Alexander
Feng
Hadran is the missing link, currently.

"Jenkins!!" cries Feng with a triumphant shout.
