“Do you guys smell that? It’s the same pungent odor from earlier. It reminds me of our employer.”

Xing points to his little nose holes in his beak and shakes his head, “Do you guys smell that?- No.-“

"It would seem it's a boon that I do not smell it." Alexander stated, covering his nose with his right hand to play it safe. 

"Before we progress any further, I recommend we rest for the night elsewhere. I'd rather we investigate this place under sunlight, instead of moonlight" The Tiefling commented, nodding his head away from the outpost 

Xing mimics the sound of last night’s battle... specifically when he was stabbed and nods, “Smart man, smart man...-“

"I agree about investigating during the day. If there is undead in their it might be easier to fight them while we have some sunlight. It all depends on what we find."

Donar a little worried is going to cast the Detect Evil and Good on himself in order to see if there is any undead currently near them. 

All donar can sense is a great force of evil permeating the outpost.

Feng looks around to see if there are any places to rest til morning that seem easily defensible in case anything should come out of the outpost at them. 

Perception: 20

There is a hill a little way back from the outpost overlook around 20 ft from where you are. At the top of the hill is a small palm grove.

"Psst," whispers Feng to the others, nodding toward the grove-topped hill. "Let's hide out there for the night."

Assuming the others are also fine with staying at the grove, Hadran will do the following tasks:

- Hand out a Goodberry to the other party members (for dinner, he had five extra from the morning). Then he will use his remaining spell slot to cast it again, so he will have 10 berries for tomorrow.

- Check out the grove for the best spot to be hidden but to have a good view of the surroundings. Also make sure there are no unwelcome surprises in the area. Perception 19

- Meditate for 4 hours, then stand watch.

Alexander nods towards Feng, signaling that he is fine going to the hill. He waits for the others to lead the way, not being silly enough to think himself as a tank. 

The grove allows for a perfect view of the surrounding desert and the outpost and there are no visible dangers

Xing nods toward Alex and leads the way with Feng to the grove, while also swallowing down a goodberry. 

"Alright, so how would we like to do shifts? It seems our Elven friend can watch for the majority of the night, so we only need two shifts of two hours. I certainly do not mind taking watch for one of those shifts, as long as someone else stays up with me for conversation" The Tiefling stated after getting to the hill. He popped a goodberry in his mouth after speaking, getting ready to dismount his horse. Truly, he wanted the company for more than just talking, but he was not ready to admit that to the others.

Xing shrugs, “If it’s company ye want- please do not hesitate to ask dearie- loneliness is a deadly blade all itself, Xing...”

Xing also is looking Alex over while saying this, trying to get an idea of the tiefling: Insight: 13

Assuming Detect Evil and Good is on still because it lasts 10 minutes Donar will send out pulses along the way to this new campsite, and will warn the others if he senses any undead. "I can take the second shift then," Donar replies as he eats the goodberry and prepares for bed.

Xing noticed that Alexander, honestly, just seemed a little scared. After the events of the previous night, he didn't seem to enthusiastic over being alone.

"Perfect! Then we seem covered for the night. I'm sure if we see anything, kung fu chicken can make like an alarm." He stated, winking at Xing. The Tiefling prepared pulled out his napsack, and prepared a place to watch for his shift.

OOC: I just really wanted to find a way to fit the initials KFC in there...

Xing gives a respectful bow and gives a chicken cluck, before placing his bedroll next across from Alex.
