This looks really cool, I'd be interested to see what you come up with for the respawn system as well as the effects of the Spellplague. If I'm chosen I'd like to play into the Spellplague aspect and play a spellcaster who is trying to learn more about it. If the effects of the Spellplague are real bad and actively hurting the party, I'd definitely be willing to multiclass/rely less on casting. But I think it would be interesting to see how a character like that would act in this type of setting and what they'd be able to accomplish.
Ability scores: 14121515138
Character Name/Race/Class/Background: Nyxi Timbers, Rock Gnome Artificer (Alchemist) with Guild Artisan background
How familiar you are with Witcher or Bloodborne: I haven't personally played either game but I've watched gameplay of both and I like the aesthetic. There just isn't enough time to play everything!
A little about your experience/playstyle: I've been playing 5e for a few years now (mostly as a DM) and I generally skew more toward character driven/RP focused gameplay. But I also love interesting combat and experimenting with different mechanics and characters.
A little about another hobby you have besides DnD: My main other hobby would be playing board games. Outside of tabletop gaming, my next top hobby would be playing videogames. Outside of gaming in general I watch/follow sports, mainly MLB and NBA.
Basic Character Premise: It takes a monster to hunt a monster. Tyrfing is some sort of unnatural creature, capable of twisting and reforming its body to suit its needs, both in combat and in social situations. But for whatever reason, it's gained sentience, and accompanying that is that silly little thing you call a "conscience". It has come to the conclusion that senseless slaughter of innocents is rather rude, and seeks to stop that slaughter, fighting against its unnatural brethren.
Familiarity: I know the basic idea of the games, and I've watched a tiny amount of bloodborne gameplay, but that's as far as my knowledge of the games goes.
Experience/playstyle: I've played D&D for a few years, now, and have DMed my fair share of games(I'm a pretty garbage DM, though). As for my playstyle... hm. Honestly, I like a bit of everything. Roleplay encounters are very fun, and allow me to fully explore the personality and disposition of my characters, but combat is also great, since I'm very fond of writing detailed descriptions of my characters' actions(If I'm in the mood, at least).
Hobby: I'm very into writing and worldbuilding(two essentials for D&D), and I've got to have hundreds of random google documents full of all kinds of zany stuff for all my creative endeavors(of which only a few actually hold my disgustingly short attention span for more than a short while).

Sorry I'm late!
Character Name: Fenser Rel-Dalan Race Wood Elf Class Ranger (Horizon Walker) / Cleric (Grave Domain) (depending on scope of the play-by-post game, but this is the ideal...) Background Outlander
Backstory short version: In his youth, Fenser ran with rebel/guerrilla group of elves [against humans and human villages], like the Witcher's Scoia'tael. A certain event changed him, and since this "enlightenment" he has become a hunter of the undead, of sorts, out of a sense of sympathy for undead. His belief is that restless undead abhor and sometimes harm the living through no fault of their own, so he has great sympathy and a kind of respect for them, and seeks to put them to rest and at the same time prevent harm coming to living folk.
Note: His appearance is reminiscent of Bloodborne hunter-style long coat, hat and big collar covering the mouth, etc.
Going to attempt to roll ability scores: Ability scores: 111412111612
How familiar you are with Witcher or Bloodborne. I have beat Bloodborne at least 3 times and I am fairly familiar with it. I have seen Season 1 of The Witcher on Netflix, I played about 1/3 of The Witcher 2, and I have played about the same of the Witcher 3. I feel quite familiar with both franchises, though not an expert.
A little about your experience/playstyle: My only experience playing is as DM for around 3 games for my immediate family. However, I've watched countless streams of D&D and I am really keen to play as a player.
A little about another hobby you have besides DnD I go to a Wing Chun kung fu class.
(Not manipulated - I didn't realise rerolling 1s was in the instructions)
Still working out the specifics but I'd be interested in playing a human/aasimar light cleric with a focus on purging the city and cleansing it with holy fire.
I am familiar with The Witcher but have not consumed any of it's media yet. I have played Bloodborne through to completion and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I have been playing D&D for a year now, mostly DMing. I have a keen interest in the roleplay side of the game and while this would be my first PBP I will put more focus on my character's actions before words.
Outside of D&D I have been writing fiction on/off for 9 years and would like to bring more of this to my games, hence my interest in the PBP style of play.
Wow! Lot's of great character put forward thus far! In discussion with 10Cent, I believe that we will look to be wrapping up recruitment by end of day tomorrow, and will have our group sometime on Saturday. Looking forward to it!
My apologies if this is too late, but this looks like a very interesting campaign I would love to join
Character Name/Race/Class/Background: I have two I could play, Priton a Dragonborn Forge Cleric molded by the firey life of his home of Dwarves and Dragonborn, and cooled by his adventures in the sea after finding a seperate path than exclusively residing over an anvil. Or Trenna Meivaldrin, a Celestial Warlock who's village, who's relations with their diety were frozen over as the Spellplauge made communication nearly impossible, as well as surviving in their frigid forest much more difficult. Leaving to one of the places where her village thought might just have the information to if even for a little while, warm up that connection again.
How familiar you are with Witcher or Bloodborne: I've read to a bit before the end of the fifth book, and am unfamiliar with bloodeborne.
A little about your experience/playstyle: I pop in and out of this site but ive played in a few games here and there, as for playstyle usually will prefer a tad bit more RP but everything is appreciated.
A little about another hobby you have besides DnD (doesn't need to be more than one sentence if you don't want to write more): Just read and play games mostly, not much more than that.

Krolis Mordan Half Orc Ranger - Monster Slayer
Ability scores: 181111171711
Krolis Mordan is the stepson of the Monster Hunter that killed his 'father' - the horrid monster that raped his mother, which resulted in himself. His mother went crazy and killed herself some few years after Krolis was born, leaving him in the care of his father, Boldern Mordan. Korlis was raised from day one to hate 'monsters' and so he does, with a passion. And he, quite naturally, has taken up where his father left off; well, he was eaten by a undead giant, but that is neither here nor there at the moment.
I played Witcher when it first came out, had a blast, and have seen some of the series on Netflix. So, I have an understanding of Gareth and am using that as a 'pattern' for Korlis, in so far as the platform allows. He will be heavily into herbal and alchemical magics; potions, salves, etc.
At present, given RL restrictions, my favorite hobby is DnD; when folks can get together again I am going to take up weapons practice again: Broadswords and targets being a favorite, followed by rapier and dagger work. Another fun thing is sneaking around in the dark with just daggers drawn, but that takes a special sort of circumstance.
Thank you to everyone who applied. Tweedeh and I are looking at everything right now. Might end up making two groups because there's such a good group of folks here. Will try to have PMs out to you by tomorrow.

Whelp missed it by 7 hours. But if you end up needing an extra, if you split into two groups. (two groups running in the same pbp world could be interesting weird). But do have fun in your groups, this is a very neat idea.
Mildy confused on the rolls is that "dropping ones once" mean drop one lowest. Or drop any 1 you roll? Well I missed it anyway, but I 'll roll if you end up needing an alternate or extra.
Fuse. Tasha's is available, with its alternate stats; Either Mark of Passage Human, or V.human/orign race. Angling for Alchemist Artificer. WIll be flavored entirely as magically inert; but skilled in Alchemy and Enchanting. (i.e. Flamin Sphere will be a bandolier of explosive vials, Ray of Sickness will be a Poisoned Dart or mini-chakram.
I know a little of the Witcher; but I have not spent much time in the books, games, or show yet. I know I'll like it; books more than the others i imagine for me. I have played bloodborne a fair lot; and have beaten it (and that dang alternate moon boss finale boss). It is fun. I appreciate the interesting tools (like how one boss is very weak to the flamer!)
I play heavily as a Sidekick character. I like following the lead, suring up the gaps in the group and supporting others in doing their job better. I love playing the "Gap FIll" or "jack of all trades but specialized in none" type. Which is one reason I'm fond of Alchemist-so many tools, can moderately melee, long range, heal, possible buffs etc.
I adore reading. I actually got my Masters in Lib Science this semester (Well diploma is in the mail I think). So I adore reading, A recent book I really liked was the "City of broken magic" by Mirah Bolender, its a really great ....Low magitech-punk sort of thing? Some magic, and plenty of specific monster types. Good read. The other hobby is my doggie, he's 90 lbs and a curious dork. Last hobby is probably working out; though not right now, recovering from illness. Oh, I do quite enjoy JRPGs; mainly older ones though, the new ones tend to be too much style over substance for me. but I'm also in my 30s and therefore an old foggie for RPG/JRPGs.
Character Info: Crim Scyla/ Air Genasi/ Druid (Circle of the land; Artic)
Background: Crim was born in an Air Genasi village. Crim’s parents were well respected in there village, Yuliey. But there was some young, but powerful humans who thought they could take the Air Genasi’s power. So when a traveling circus that had only Teifling and Elves came to town they had Crim join them. Crim was only five then, a year later the circus went back and found that the whole village was destroyed. So since Crim had no where to go he stayed with the traveling circus. Ten years later Crim left the traveling circus. Since he was brought up by mostly Tiefling he didn’t really understand that people can be healed. He had traveled with MANY companions for about a year until he joined a temple. And then he left the temple about three months later because he didn’t really like it. He has been traveling ever since and has had realized that he doesn’t really like dating women. And so he tried dating guys and he discovered he liked guys more than women. But Crim keeps accidentally killing his significant others. So he hasn’t dated anyone for quite a while.
Other: Crim has short dark blue hair. He has black blobs like formations on his face and arms. Crim wears a black crop too and a black hood with a cream wool fluff around it. He wears black stocking that leave his toes and heels uncovered. Crim also carries around a wooden staff with a metal scythe like thing the end that is held in place with leather strips and has a jay and dove feather attached to it and leather strips to hold it easier. Crim also has a black belt that holds two daggers and a sack that seems pretty large. He is also wearing a holy symbol and an amulet. Crim also doesn’t really trust humans.
Experience: I have zero experience playing anything in D&D because I can never ever get a campaign started.
Character Name: Ataraxis Felland; Half-elf; Paladin (Devotion); Soldier Background - the idea is to reflavor the oath of devotion similar to Goldpact Knights of Pillars of Eternity ... mercenaries who once bought stay bought, but retain their powers through the sanctity of their contracts and pacts
Standard array - 8, 16, 12, 10, 14, 16 - ranged and off-tank combat mentality. Can be healer as well.
Familiarity and experience: i have completed Witcher 2, witcher 3 plus expansions (just finishing main story for the 2nd time right now actually), watched tv show and read 2 of the novels so far. Im familiar :D ... bloodborne - got through quite a bit of the game. Dark horror-fantasy and tentacles, somewhat familiar. Love the concepts you are shooting for and would like to experience it. I have played 5e for a year and have DM'ed some. I prefer to be a team player and will fill any roll as needed, which isnwhy the support concept paladin should work for just about any group, hopefully.
Im a hermit - i like dnd, reading fantasy, playing vidya games. There are many things id love to get into, but lack funds or time to do so. Ive got young kids so my time is often stolen by them (adorable, loving, yet thieving, little bastards).
