After a time the party emerge from the throne room and head back south to the crossroads. Ulug motions for them to move to the western corridor and they soon come accross a door on the left hand wall.

Seems safe Elsha whispers as she pushes it open. This long and narrow room apparently served as some kind of auditorium or meeting room. There are ten wooden benches scattered about the room, each about 15' in length. A large stone slab at the north end of the room serves as a sort of stage, rising 10 inches off the floor to accommodate any speakers and place them in full view of any assemblage.
On the north wall are four decorative cloth banners of red, green, blue, and yellow. Although once attractive, they are now deteriorated and rotting, thus being of no particular value.

"A map! I found a map!" she cries and brings it to Ulag.
"Very good." he says snatching it from her hand. He studies it for a moment and steps back into the corridor. Trying to follow the map the party continue west until they shortly see another door, this time on their right. It is not on the map.
"Perhaps it is an old map." Snelik suggests.
"Or a fake." Seresh murmers.
"This makes no sense." Ulug snarls and in frustration he kicks in the door. 15
The door slams open to reveal the large room beyond. Covering most of the north wall is an immense dragon's skin. At the west end of the room is a basilisk frozen in stone, its menacing gaze forbidding but no longer a threat. On the east wall is a dwarfin skeleton, suspended from a pair of irons near the ceiling, giving the entire chamber a macabre presence. Elsewhere on the walls are a variety of mementoes: two gigantic sets of moose antlers each on a large head, four dragon paws with claws extended, a stuffed cockatrice, a largish black shield which could only be used by a giant, a pair of ram's horns, a pair of crossed swords, a bearskin, an entire door bearing religious symbols, and a set of three colourful flags which will be immediately recognizable as belonging to prominent barbarian tribes.
"Some sort of trophy room." observes Seresh as she steps in to explore.
"This map is useless." Ulug tears up the parchment and throws it to the ground.
To his growing frustration Ulug hacks the paws to pieces and fails to extract an intact claw. Elsha stifles a laugh and earns a withering glare from the Bugbear.
"Let's move on." Ulug growls as he drops the mangled paw to the ground. On the left they pass a dark corridor leading south and Ulug shakes his head so they move on until they come to a door on the left and another turning off to the right heading north. Elsha checks the door 5
She can see nothing wrong with it and opens it up. The elongated room beyond appears to be used primarily for storage of tools, equipment, and implements of various types.
Seresh takes a coil of light rope, while Ulug takes a set if masonry tools that have been set down by the door. Sinek snatches up a set of cobblers tools before the part leave the room. They continue round to the right and are surprised by a sudden rumbling sound.
Snelik spots the trap and jumps back. A portcullis drops down to separate the corridor and all of the others are on the other side, and to make matters worse they appear to be trapped in a dead end. The three trapped party members make a search of the corridor looking for unusual makings or secret passages. 19, while Snelik studies the portcullis for a way through, 12

Searching the corridor the three find a small depression on the eastern wall and after further inspection they manage to push to section of wall inward to reveal another passageway beyond.
"I can't get through." Snelik moans from the portcullis.
"Stoopid grunt." Ulug growls as he marches over and takes a swing at the bars with his Warhammer. Attack: 18 Damage: 14

One of the bars springs free and Snelik squeezes through.
The group make their wat into the new corridor and head northward. They see a door on the right and after briefly checking it they enter. The room appears to be a smithy. It is an irregularly shaped room which actually seems to be almost two separate parts. An eerie wind whistles through the upper areas of the room near the ceiling, and this natural effect provided exhaust venting when the fires, long since silent, were stoked with fuel. Three fire pits lie dormant in the northeast portion of the room, and these are located on the north wall, in the northeast corner, and on the east wall. In the centre of the room is a gigantic forging anvil. A hand bellows hangs on the wall to the west.
The larger southwest portion of the smithy is mostly barren, although an assortment of blacksmith's tools and irons hang on the walls. There are doors leading away to the south and the north. Ulug helps himself to the blacksmith tools while the others search the room. 21
Seresh plucks a crystal goblet from a nearby shelf and wrapping it in some nearby leathers she shoves it into her pack. Just then a sound comes from the northern room and the party freeze.
Ulug silently gestures for them to make ready their weapons. They move closer to the northern door, ready for whatever might be behind it. Snelik hides in the shadows 19 while Elsha reaches forward to open the door.
