Shayne Con save: 2
"Stop it!" Shayne will shout with a stomp of his foot, on his turn. The outburst results in a Thunderwave resulting in a wave of thunderous force emanating from Shayne!
Con save vs DC 14. On a fail all within a 15ft cube of Shayne take 12 Thunder damage and is pushed 10ft away from him. On a success, not pushed away and only half damage...
((Oh, huh! Honestly I hadn't thought of the companions, just the little flying whatever they are. A spell that pushed everyone back and away from him seemed ideal in the situation... If I'm being honest, I think Shayne wouldn't have thought about the repercussions, much as I didn't. I'd say it's up to you which of the party, if any, would have been within the area of effect... It is just 7.5 feet on each side...))
Eric sheathes his sword. Standing unarmed he holds his hands up. "We mean no harm little beings. If we have trespassed, accept our apologies and we'll be on our way". His words have a hint of drawl to them, as if he's quite tired from a day in the field. Or perhaps one too many mead's.
(Need three CON saving throws, DC 10, for XYLYS please, before you post any Round Two actions for the warlock. 5 or less means he goes to sleep. Poisoned condition is he simply fails but doesn't roll very low. Once this is done, on to Round #2 )
If Alyna and Eric want to fight, cast spells, or dash about, then go in turn order within Round 2. If they want to keep talking, trying to negotiate a truce, roll Persuasion once again , at advantage. DC 10)

Eric refuses to fight the little folk. He has heard tales of creatures such as these. Whether true or not he has heard they are peaceful but will defend themselves when threatened. Drowsily, he says "Please, we seek only passage. And maybe information if you can."
Persuasion 4
((That is rolled at disadvantage due to the poison from earlier. If incorrect feel free to reroll))
The creatures break off their attack, shouldering their bows and circling lower.
One of the six alights on the sleeping figure of Shayne, to pose with legs wide and head lifted proudly like a conquering hero standing on a giant he's struck down in perilous battle. Fammy pokes her head out of the bard's sack and meows at the little fellow, who jumps back into the air, wings buzzing.
Another lands on Xylys and kneels to stare up the man's nostrils.
A third zooms close to Eric.
"Mortals! I am Fei *. Since you've decided to show better manners after so rudely barging into our home, we agree to a truce. What are you called, anyway? Really, it's only polite to give your name once I've given mine. Giants in the woods! Trampling about and--hey, did you see that squirrel over there? No, of course you didn't. Looking at me, you were. You missed a fine leap. Do you have any cream? What about cakes?"
Alyna was not completely taken aback by all the chaotic chirping and sudden demands - fey are fey. But she was not used to talk to them in person in real life (even if she was not always able to tell which life is which). "Alyna. I mean, my name is Alyna. And this is" (she pointed at the sleeping bard) "Shayne. And this one," (another gesture) "is Xylys. Could you please wake them up? So we can leave and not disturb you anymore?"
"This is for a reason, we do not have much time to live," parried Alyna, and explained their presence: "We lost one of our man - another giant - and think he could get lost in these woods. Have you seen one around? May be a week ago?"

''Another giant? Oh yes, one came through here just a little while ago. He was following the cavalcade."
"The cavalcade?" Alyna searched her backpack in hope to get anything not just eatable but tasty as well to offer to the friendly spirit. "Please, Fei, could you tell more? We really need to find the man!"

Fei takes the proffered food and begins eating with surprising speed, as if flying and shooting worked up an appetite, like a human boy after playtime. The other join him, hopping and pecking and laughing with crumbs falling from their hands and mouths.
One demolished honey roll later, the fairies return their attention to conversation, but now they seem more interested in asking about Alyna's geegaw (the feathers, rock, string, wood thing that had earlier attracted the interest of the Gorcrow). Babysitting experience pays off, and Alyna is able to gently redirect the topic to the missing miller. She has to politely repeat her questions several times, but it emerges that the cavalcade is some sort of procession of 'The Queen's court' and that it rides only certain nights when the moon is full, visiting these, her former lands.
Shayne and Xylys awaken by the time Alyna has learned that much from the diminutive winged folk.
(Both men feel drowsy at first, but rapidly recover full faculties. The ambush seems like a dream remembered, but for the itchy pinpricks left by the miniscule arrows. )
Alyna keeps at the questions. What Werthan was doing in the royal train, the little people don't seem to know or much care. Has she got anything else sweet to eat? Or any beer? Which way did they go? Down the trail that leads west from this glade.
Note: looking at the sun, plainly visible in this small glade, you have less than three hours of daylight left. The day has slipped by, with you hiking the Darkling Woods.
Xylys's angry outburst interrupts Alyna and Shayne's pleas for peace.
(He meant to be persuasive, not threatening, but it just came out the wrong way!)
The little creatures respond by shooting again

I need to redo that first attack.

(More saving throws, please. The men are getting peppered with tiny needlelike arrows but Alyna is not yet struck by the elfshot.
Eric may act now, at the end of Round 1.
Then, round 2. )

”Ncchheew, ncchheew,” Xylys seems suddenly quite comfortable lying down and taking a wee nappy.
Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.

(We are done with combat time unless Alyna wants to attack or cast a spell, or do something else like that. Feel free to RP this as you please. )
