Seeing the creature glowing, Usul doesn't bother to aim quite as long, feeling that it's becoming an easier target. Though he still pulls the strings back tight, hoping this time that the beast wont be able to escape.
Attack: 1+20 Damage: 28 Vel is before Usul, so adv from guiding bolt instead of steady aim (if I miscalculated just use Steady Aim instead for the adv)
The pale creature seethes in silent rage as it is barraged with another round of attacks from the party. Divine energy sears its skin from both the knight's radiant smite and the cleric's divine bolt. Usul's crossbow bolt catches it in the shoulder, jerking it backwards as Silthras shoves it away from the window.
As the half-elf slams the window shut, the undead turns it three empty eye sockets towards three of your members, and a familiar cold attempts to draw you in. Kal and Velyra steel their minds against the effect, while Silthras feels a burst of divine warmth run through his veins to resist it.
Enraged, the creature shoves Silthras away from the window to reclaim its space, following up with quick thrust from the talon protruding from its arm. Just as the boney weapon is about to connect, a shimmering field pops into existence between it and the half-elf, blocking the blow.
Its colorless lips are pulled into a grimace, and you can see its chest heaving with effort. It desperately wants out.

Silthras looks at Kal, "Grab the damned thing, I'll help!"
(( lol...crossed wires! Saw the attack and rewrote mine...back to plan A ))
Silthras will again try to shove the creature away from the window, taking his own place in front of it if he succeeds.
Shove (ugh): 3
His strength proves inadequate to the task, but he glares at it, fuming with anger, and trying to goad it into staying a little longer, "Is that all you have? Pathetic! Killing children is one thing, but facing warriors ... you're not up for it!"
(( If Silthras can move, and if Kal moves the creature from the window, Silthras will follow Kal, otherwise, he will try to block the window for now ))
"Someone, block the window!" Trying to goad it into attacking himself instead of Kal, he follows the creatre and shouts angrily in it's face, "Is that all you have? Pathetic! Killing children is one thing, but facing warriors ... you're not up for it!"
EDIT: Hold on not doing that. Because holding a spell would break concentration on Bless, Velyra will instead fire off another Guiding Bolt.
Taking cues from Kal and Silthras, Velyra moves in front of the window to block the creature's escape. Radiant energy gathers in her hand once more as she sends another Guiding Bolt towards it.
The creature thrashes in Kal's grasp as bolt of radiant energy sears past its head, impacting the wall behind. As it tries to escape, there is a quick thwipp as Usul's bolt is released. It strikes the creature in the center between its three empty eye sockets, and it goes limp in the knight's arms.
As the room falls quiet, you can hear Paten saying something to someone else through the door "hold on a moment..." Before calling out to the inside. "Are you all alive?"
Breathing a sigh of relief, Kal dumps the body on the floor at his feet, taking a moment to wipe some of the blood and viscera from his hands. "We're alive!"He calls out, taking a careful step over the creature's corpse to get out of the corner.

As the creature falls to the ground, Usul quickly points towards the window and snaps his fingers. Immediately outside the window a small owl appears and begins to fly up, circling around the Inn, scouting the area ((dib perception 15)).
There's a pause, some whispering, and then you hear wood scraping against wood as the townsfolk begin to move away the pieces of furniture they had been using to try and barricade the door. After a moment, Paten opens the door and quickly enters, closing it shut behind him. He looks over the gore leftover from the creature bursting from Reiner's body, a sickened look taking over his features. "What...What was that?"
Usul's familiar launches itself into the air above and around the inn, easily picking out the surroundings with its superior vision. Aside from the odd shambling undead(not the more vicious clawed variant), there's no movement outside.
Silthras closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, offering silent but heartfelt thanks to his patron and the gods in equal measure. When his breathing is a little more steady he opens his eyes, noting the gore that covers himself and Kal. He stares at Paten for a moment, letting the question sink in as his heart rate slows, not sure how to answer.
"That....that was some kind of undead I've never seen before. It inhabits bodies. Takes them over."
He holds his hand up, signalling Paten to stay where he is, then walks over to Kal, and whispers, "Are you able to detect any more of the creature in the inn?...Or this room?"
Turning back to Paten, he continues, "My guess is that this was the last of them...at least here. They probably have one in every town. Who knows, perhaps even the baroness may be one, or be influenced by one. It would explain a lot."
He pokes the body with his foot, a look of disgust plain on his face, "We should take this back to Silverfair for study. Quietly, though: There's probably one there too." I'd put one in every town, and one with the Baroness. Everyone needs to be checked!
Turning back to Paten he says, "Don't let anyone in here until we've ...dealth with this. Do you have any tarpaulins -- something waterproof -- and perhaps large sacks?"
Kal nods in response to the question, holding a finger to indicate the he can only do once more tonight. He'll not burn his divine sense immediately, but when there's an opportunity where most of the townsfolk are gathered in an open area(downstairs most likely), he'll use it.
"Well I've sure as hell never seen anything like that before." The councilman says, chancing a glance at the corpse before shuddering. "No one else goes in this room from now on. Once you've got it out, we'll board up this window too."
He opens the door a crack and gives a few orders those standing outside. A few minutes later there's a knock on the door and he retrieves some medium burlap sacks and a few large blankets. "No tarpaulins or anything waterproof. But we can wrap it up with these blankets I think."
He pauses for a moment, then adds. "What you've been saying about the Baroness...I'd keep quiet about it once you get in Silverfair. I'm not saying you're wrong, or that I don't believe you. But you do not want her hearing you spread that kind of stuff around."
"I can only hope we don't see another one." Velyra mutters, kicking the thing's leg as she walks up to join the others. "Resting with watches would probably be a good idea from here on out. I can cover four hours easily, the rest of you can split however you see fit."
