Usul Choosing the path of least resistance, Muad zips down the northern road, putting distance between yourselves and the horde. As you ride towards the northern edge of the town, the buildings become sparse, and you can begin to see the unfinished perimeter defenses.
The last rays of sunlight strike across the ground, and in the distance beyond the town, a chorus of shrieking howls carries on the wind...
The road leads to a dead end at this point, to the east, past the buildings lining the road you can see another cluttering of residences, with another road running parallel to this one. West is a brief open field, turning into a hill with sparsely placed trees upon it.You can still hear the shuffling and moaning of the hoard behind you, but is currently out of your sight(beyond dark vision 60 feet). Further north is the edge of the town, and the shrieks grow closer by the second.
Kal Silthras Velyra
Kal Strength: 23
The door crashes open as Kal and Velyra put their combined force into, sending the contents of the shelf pushed in front of it scattering across the floor. Inside you find the young Sammie, still unmoving with a blood pool underneath his injured leg. A slain undead lies before, axe jutting from the skull.
Reaching the end of town, Usul circles around just a few seconds for the horde to come into vision. He then dashes off west and back into the center of town, hoping that enough time as passed, and that he'll be able to leave the horde behind him by a decent distance before reaching the Inn.
Velyra visibly winces at the sight of the boy, but moves into the apothecary to search for the needed medicine while one of her new companions tries to revive him.
Group As a soft light runs over the young man, he draws a sharp breath, opening his eyes. Deathly pale, he looked around the dark room in confusion. "W-what's going on?" He asks weakly. (As a note, darkness has come. For those of you without darkvision, you're blind now.) Going over the shelves and unsmashed bottles on the floor, Velyra is able to locate the special mixture Sammie had originally been sent for. In the distance, your group can begin to hear shrieking...
Usul

After cutting through the sparse trees you head south once more, finding a road again shortly after it leads you west a little further and then cuts back south, towards what you're sure is the town center. The shrieking howls seem to be coming from every direction now, some even within the town. Ahead, at the very edge of your vision, you can see two dark shapes streak from between the buildings across the road.
Though not knowing this specific town, Usul has a deep understanding of cities and finding shortcuts. Before approaching the dark shapes he tries to duck into an ally that he believes will link around. At this point he’s stopped his illusions of course, and is focused on directing Muad as quickly through the town as possible to reach the inn. If necessary though he’ll slow down in order to weave between any creatures that appear in front of them.
Feature: City Secrets
You know the secret patterns and flow to cities and can find passages through the urban sprawl that others would miss. When you are not in combat, you (and companions you lead) can travel between any two locations in the city twice as fast as your speed would normally allow.
For Muad, he’s using the Dash action currently to keep up the 80ft speed. If needed he’ll instead direct Muad to take the Disengage action so that he can keep going at least without stopping, and without provoking attacks of opportunity as he attempts to plow past anything that gets in his way. Usul himself would take the Dodge action in that case as well.
Silthras smiles at the lad, "Sammie is it? Try to sit up..." he says, helping him to stand. "We may need to move fast -- do you think you can do that?"
Smiling more broadly as the lad stands, he nods in satisfaction. "Good! You did well! You killed the creature that attacked you" he says, nudging the body with his toe and retrieving the axe. "We are here to bring you and...whatever it was you were looking for..." he glances at Velyra, "...back.Did you find it, or do we need to search for it?" he asks.
As he waits for an answer he inspects the axe, and as he moves his hands over it the gore and grime seem to disappear. When he is done, he hands it to Sammie. "Take this, you may have need of it yet."
Velyra mutters a swift thanks to Sandail for their fortune, tucking the bottle in a belt loop. "I've got it, thank you. We should move, now." She grabs Sammie by the shoulders to help guide him out of the apothecary, once outside she touches the axe and casts Light. With the shrieking growing closer, she ushers the boy ahead and turns to the others, "Run!"

Silthras knows the likely direction from the plans discussed earlier, but he waits a moment, listening, trying to determine if his expectations are correct. Then, he then starts running, trying to keep a clear view in the direction of greatest threat.

Usul You cut right between two buildings. As you round a corner, you feel a whoosh above your head as a clawed hand just passes above. A loud shriek rings in your ear, retreating rapidly as Muad sends you both speeding forward. The hoard has long since fallen too far behind, but as you get back on a road heading towards the town's center, you notice three figures following you. The sharp claws are recognizable from some of the undead you fought in Silverfair. Their speed is on full display now, as although they're falling behind, they're not losing ground nearly as quickly as the regular zombie horde had.
You break out into a field littered with trees, the northern face of the inn just south of you. Knowing the window used earlier was on the south side, you veer left to go around the east side of the building.
Group You hurry down the western road away from the plaza as the shrieking howls rise in volume and proximity, echoing through the night. The inn comes into sight, and Sammie runs ahead, scurrying up an already lowered rope on the southern side of the building. As the three of you are about to raise yourselves up, a loud screech, much closer than any other sounds off behind you. Looking back down the road you came down, Silthras would see one of the clawed zombies first encountered in Silverfair, claws splayed outward menacingly as it approaches.

Usual, sprinting from the undead behind him, sees the Inn in front. Hoping it’s been enough time for the group to get in he calls out, not currently worried about the noise, saying “Lower the rope! Here we come!” As he gallops past the bush he creates a large, delicious looking, cow to appear to be walking out from behind it, into the view of the undead. He knows it wont stop them for long, but even just a few seconds might make all the difference.

Silthras curses, pointing at the creature, trying to make it clear to his friends, then sends a bolt of arcane energy streaking into the darkness. He then moves close to the rope, looking at Velyra to see if she wants to climb. If not, he does.

Hearing their gnomish companion in the distance, Kal turns to the others briefly. "You go up. Usul won't be able to climb with one of these things clawing at his back. I'll hold it off, I can get into the room in an instant without the rope."
Speaking old words under his breath, a shimmering blue outline wreathes his body as he casts Shield of Faith, moving towards the direction Silthras pointed to cut the creature off.
Static flares in the air around Silthras, Kal, and Velyra as the effects of her Bless takes hold. "We'll support you from up high." She says. She gets next to the rope, but motions for Silthras to go up first. "I'll follow once you're inside."
"Up, quickly now!" A gruff male voice says from above, belonging to a middle-aged human face none but Velyra would recognize. The man looks out into the darkness and then backs out of the window space, making room for the crew to come up.
Though unseen to all but Silthras, dark shadows begin to envelop the undead's torso as his Hex takes hold, followed by a resounding crack as a bolt of energy strikes the creature square in the chest. It hesitates for a moment, then shakes the blow off and shrieks, continuing forward(it remains just outside the radius the of dim light, couldn't quite reach this round). Silthras moves to the rope and begins to climb, while Velyra waits at the bottom and Kal moves as far forward as he can while remaining in the bright light.
Usul and Muad charge forward towards the southern end of the building, the zombies on their tail slowly falling behind. As the cow illusion appears, the undead don't even seem to glance at it as they streak past.
Initiative: Party's move again
Notes:
At the beginning of this round, Silthras is ~half way up the rope(but has enough movement to finish climbing into the rope). Velyra will be able to climb up the rope using her movement this round.
Usul keeps charging ahead at full steam rounding the corner nice and close. Coming around the corner he is surprised to see the others at the rope, and Kal standing at the ready, and following his glance sees the undead. As Muad is charging forward he quickly pulls his crossbow around from his back and, pulling the strings tight, looses a bolt at the undead rushing at them. Shooting his bolt he yells to the group. “There are more behind me! Quickly! Get inside!”

He briefly nods to the man who called out, "Is there a way onto the roof?" he asks as he begins to takes the rope from his pack and loops it around a beam, before throwing it out the window for Maud. (( probably not all in this round! ))
