Silthras listens to the conversation while he considers the offer, his mind focused on the implications of moving or destroying the orb. Eventually he nods vageuly, accepting the offer, then glances between Kal and Elixir,
"Perhaps you could...er...deduct the price of a of little more explosive...we might have more work to do."
With a faint smile, Elixyr shakes her head. "Oh my, get a little caught up in the excitement did we?" She considers for a moment, then leans over the counter again. "I could just take care of it for you. Something like that, well. It should be tucked away where unscrupulous hands cannot possibly reach."
Straightening, she disappears underneath the counter and reappears with a box containing more of the explosives. "Or you can try blowing it up. Up to you."
"And what's your idea of takings care of it?" Velyra asks, turning an analytical eye towards the arcanist. In truth, she felt it might be fine to leave it where it were. It was locked behind a door requiring a specific command word. Yet...One group had made it passed that already, perhaps launching this whole ordeal. She was open to potentially gaining an ally they could trust.
Fishing in the pockets of her flowing outfit, Elixyr eventually pulls out a small iron statuette, fashioned in the shape of a chest. With a few arcane words, a much larger iron chest falls from thin air above the counter, banging onto it with a loud clang. "I figured I would put it in this, and keep it there for the rest of eternity." She says, tapping the chest again. For a moment it becomes translucent, before disappearing entirely. "Of course I'd let you have it back if you ever wished."
"Or again." She gestures towards the explosives. "You can try the fun way."
"How long are you going to stick around? We might need to talk about this elsewhere and get back to you."Kal says, glancing at his companions. "We've a few more things to do today. Will you still be here tonight?"
Elixyr takes a quick look around the bare shop, even looking down and kicking a few boxes behind her counter. "Likely be gone by mid-morning tomorrow. Let me know before then."
Finger tapping the counter, she nods towards the circlet while looking at Silthras. "So, what's your verdict on that pretty little thing?"
Eventually he nods vageuly, accepting the offer, then glances between Kal and Elixir, "Perhaps you could...er...deduct the price of a of little more explosive...we might have more work to do."
(( Silthras accepts, and asks for explosives if available -- they might come in handy later -- last time they were 50gp...I think ))
Usul gasps as the box falls from the roof and stares at it wide eyed. "Got any more of those?!"he exclaims. He then readily agrees to help retrieve the orb, if for no other reason than to see what happens when she opens the box to put it in.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(I'm blind and actually can't read, sorry Eresh lol. Last time they were freebies, didn't have a price attached ;) )

Smiling, the woman leans over and brings up another tan roped sack. It contains five more of the crumbled clay-like balls, along with additional wicking. "Since you're my prized, only customers...Twenty-five gold pieces for the rest?
She grins at the gnome, "Not quite so simple. More of a spell than anything." Nodding at the pale-haired half elf at the back of the group, she adds, "she should be able to figure it out someday."
"If you have better things to do, I can always retrieve it myself. I'd just need to know of any...obstacles that might be in the way."
Silthras takes the explosives and the money, stowing them in his pack before straightening up and looking at the packed boxes then at Elixyr, "Why leave now...when the dead things are mostly gone?"
"Well..." The dark elf begins, sort of shrugging with her hands. "I move around a lot anyway. Getting forcibly shut inside the city for weeks on end doesn't really endear one to it even after you're finally free."
"I'll be going to see my brother first. Neurotic little dirt digger that he is, I don't think that'll be a long visit though."
Kal glances at his companions before answering the arcanist's question. "We have a little business left here, and then..."He shrugs, "I'm not too sure. Follow up on something of a lead in Sonatide. Or perhaps back to her people at the Astrium." He says, nodding at Velyra.
"If you're going to go in and retrieve the orb yourself, there are some things you need to know I suppose..." Velyra hesitantly goes through her pack, pulling out that parchment that had written on it the various commands words for different parts of the ruin. "Do you speak Celestial?"
"The ruins down there are interesting to say the least, and require some finagling to get through."
"Ah Sonatide, a wonderful city. You'll enjoy it I'm sure. And if it's the Astrium you head to, perhaps I'll see you there."
Elixyr stares blanky at the elf, blinking a few times. "Celestial?...No. I've never had a reason to." Her eyebrow raises as she looks over to the piece of paper you've pulled out, though she can't read it from this angle. "Finagling of what kind?"
A white eyebrow slowly raises on the woman's face. "So you destroyed it then?"

Silthras looks at the box, "Interesting. How would we find you should we need it once more?"
Turning to his companions he says, "We should retrieve it, either for study or ... " he nods to Elixyr "...storage."

(( @DM: Did you miss this question, or did she ignore it? No point in giving her the orb if we can't find her new home. ))
Velyra coughs, raising her hand slightly. "I can get ahold of her if need be."
((I have Sending now))
(Honestly I'm gonna get my eyes checked. Jfc. My bad)
Elixyr nods towards Velyra, "likewise. If it does anything strange I can contact you."

Silthras nods, "I wrote the phrases down and practiced them. Here..." he shows her the paper, "...perhaps Velyra can help you get the right sounds."
Then he turns to Velyra, "Or maybe it's too risky, and we should fetch it...if Elixyr can wait an extra day or two?"
