Silthras spends his time trying to rest watchfully; not an easy thing to do in a public park, but it's much better than a camp site in the wilds.
@DM: Am I correct in assuming that we have not done anything stressful so far today, so we are not at risk of exhaustion yet? Or...do we need to set watches and sleep etc?
Yeah, you haven't really exerted yourselves today. Nearest you start risking exhaustion is after 24 hours of being awake. Which is like...giving you 10ish hours to work with.
"Alright Usul, I'm finished. I can let you out the back door then get myself out. That way we don't have to mess with any lockpicking." Syl says, moving back down to the first floor. If he goes along with the plan, she'll let him out the back door and then lock it. Next she runs over to a side of the house facing the alleyway and looking out the window. After connecting with Kal telepathically one last time to make sure the coast is clear, she Misty Steps back out into the alley.
Once back with the others, she tells them what she did. "I've got Alarm spells on every threshold basically. Now we just have to stick within a mile radius, so they won't see us lurking about when they come for this place."
Silthras looks up the alley and back in the direction of the Inn. He speaks more loudly than normal, for any listeners that might be hidden nearby, "It's been a long day. What do you say, end the evening with a drink?" He turns to Saravena, "Or are you still enamored by the damp grass and cold stone seats?"

Heading out of the house, Usul tells Dib to stay hidden ((12)) in the showroom (room 9). As he leads the group through some shortcuts to the Inn, he says, "There's a lot of really cool old stuff in that house. Though... it's really tough to tell what they might be after... just lots of books and statues and archaeology equipment. Also... where are the owners?"
"Do you have any idea what they might be after? Archaeology rings some alarm bells...but does it sound like a place you'd normally expect people to hit?"
"It wouldn't take much to convince some random gang that a bunch of archaeological artifacts could be used to fleece interested buyers." Velyra says, following behind. "They could just be grabbing everything they can carry, unaware of what they're really after."
Silthras nods, "That sounds like what Kaz said -- the clients want specific things, and the gang get to keep everything else. I wonder if there were factions within the Watchers? We might need to know who this deceiver is."
You go to the inn down the road, named The Late Tulip, and make yourselves comfortable inside at a table. It's about an average tavern, and not particularly packed tonight but there's enough people that your presence basically goes unnoticed. Hours pass, and the tavern common room becomes increasingly empty as people either retreat up to their rooms or leave for the night. There's perhaps a dozen other people in the tavern a shiver goes through Sylnora, and she hears a slight "ping" in her mind.
As the alarm goes off, Syl leaves over the table to speak quietly to her companions. "It's time to go. If we're just wanting to watch, I can make myself and Usul unseen so we can get closer."
After they head out, but before they get too close to the marked house Syl will dip into an alley with Usul and cast Invisibility(3rd Level) on both of them. From there, she'll send a quick telepathic message to him. You go first...Not that I can see you, but let me know where you are and how you want to do this.Considering the sneaking around bit is more his forte, she's happy to let him take the lead on this. For most of the time she'll keep the telepathic connection open with him, occasionally sending an update to Kal before pinging Usul again so he can communicate with her whenever he wants essentially.
Silthras spent much of the afternoon obsessively rearranging his equipment between his backpack and the new bag. Before they step out into the streets, he hurriedly takes the bag of holding from his pack, then stuffs the pack with his two swords attached into the bag, which he then slings over his shoulder.
Mechanical detail: One Sword strapped to backpack is now in bag, along with his bow; Broom is still in bag ready to be removed quickly, and net weight now below 200lb.

((@snakey - Usul has elven boots, so, mechanically, invisibility doesn't really do all that much extra since I already have adv on stealth (forgot it earlier...). Not to say it isn't at all helpful, but if you want to save the 3rd level slot and cast it only on yourself that's fine. Then you could also follow him easier, as he could be very silent, but keep in your vision while walking, just avoiding other eyes.))
Speaking to Syl behind him as he silently ((24)) walks towards the house, Usul says, "Do you know which entrance they went through?" And once they get close enough to the house he'll pause for a second to ping into Dib's eyes to see if he has noticed anything.

((I don't think Alarm tells me which one. :( Also I had already used my 2nd level slots anyway. So it was 3rd or nothing))
'I don't. But we can watch both ends of the house for when they come out.' She doesn't get as close to the building as Usul might, hanging back and more than happy to just keep an eye on the front entrance. She also wants to stay back far enough so she can stay within a reasonable range of the other group for her telepathy. As they approach though, she looks into the windows for movement.

(As a note, she set the Alarm as a mental alarm.)
"Should we go to an Inn nearby?" asks Silthras.
@DM: Were there any Inns within a very short distance?
51
There is indeed! Around the corner towards the southeast, there's one that's about a five minute walk away. Or three minutes if you're sprinting it.
EDIT: Make that 2.5 minute walk and 1.5 minute sprinting. I forgot Usul's background has maphacks.

Kal raises an eyebrow for the display, but plays along. "A drink sounds like the right way to top off the night."
