Once an innocent child part of a loving family of 18, Cinder was a wide-eyed innocent who saw good in everyone. Then, one dark Christmas night, she saw a red and white robed man inside her home while fetching a glass of milk. Excited to meet Santa, she decieded to visit the north pole and snuck into his sack! After a near death experience getting pushed off a cliff, the girl was rescued by the person in red, who turned out to be a goblin named Grift, who took her down the mountain and back home, along with all the toys that he had stolen. The town rejoiced!
However, the next night, Grift returned to Cinder's home with a packed bag, a signed note, and a dagger. He told her that his heist was a failed part of a scheme by the mayor of Whoville to rob the town blind and also claim damages for the gifts, and that the mayor wanted loose ends cleaned up. Assigned to "Kill the girl, clean up the mess" Grift instead saved her by sending her to the Theives guild in the town of Ostenwold, where she would be safe. She later found out that the Mayor wasn't content with her disappearance: he killed her family and framed Grift for it!
Driven near mad by this crulety, Cinder swore vengance on the mayor and all who on the weak and abuse the system for their advantage. After many adventures, heists, and rescuing Grift from the gallows (which is a story in an of itself), Cinder finally got vengance on the Mayor, and began working to right other wrongs in the forgotten realms. She became a master thief, and acquired a few other tricks along the way that she uses to help wherever she can. These days, you can find her hanging out at her old guild in Ostenwold, causing trouble, reclaiming ill gotten treausure, and leaving little gifts for those that need it. Christmas is her biggest night, as she hires the whole theives guild to sneak out into the neighborhood and put gold in the stockings of those who need it most.
