As the party presses onward, each member acting as described, Warren's words ring out clearly in the snow-muffled quiet of the woods and tension fills the air. A great, "Gha!" emanates from behind the boulders along with sounds of movement.
From around the stone obstruction steps a ten-foot tall behemoth of a creature. Scabs and scars mar it's thick yellow-green skin and it carries what appears to be a small tree in one hand. It's other hand holds a long, narrow stick that ends in a sharp piece of jagged metal.
It grins malevolently at Warren, before hefting it's javelin and flinging it at the bold fighter!
With a horrendous shriek, the javelin's tip glides along Warren's armor, but does not manage to pierce the metal.
The monster snarls in frustration, banging it's tree-like club on the ground before charging at the party!
COMBAT BEGINS!
[OOG: you may each state what your character intends to do (either specifically or in general terms which I will interpret as best I may) and, once everyone has posted, I will post an action summary. Please keep in mind that you each have one movement (half speed if moving through the wooded areas) and one action (such as an attack) per round - if you post multiple actions, I will implement them in the order they are written.]
Grigor will circle around the left side of the rock in an attempt to come up behind the creature. He will spend the full round moving, as it does not appear that a standard move action will get him close enough to attack this round.
Stealth check to remain unnoticed by the creature while doing so: 7
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Surging into action, the party unite in an attempt to defeat the towering foe! Wick, stepping to the left, let's fly with an arrow, but the shot goes wide as the elf is jostled by his untethered and panicking pony. Though the ranger avoids a painful kick, he is nevertheless unable to snatch his mount's reigns as they lash about. The pony rears, twirling in midair, and bolts away into the forest. Meanwhile, Warren's blade strikes true, but barely bites into the monster's flesh. However, as the tip of the blade slices a red line across scabrous skin, a strange energy encompasses the entirety of the creature's form.
Griffen and Remdesivir charge in simultaneously, axe and sword leading. Though Griffen's axe cleaves nothing but air, Remdesivir's blade strikes true, forming a deep gash along the creature's bulging midsection.
Grigor, being too far from the action, dashes along to the left of the bolder, circling around for a better vantage from which to attack. He attempts to hide behind the snow-weighed branches of a small pine tree.
Though he had been moving stealthily, Caldath abandons this tactic as all hell breaks loose. Pushing ahead without regard for subtly, the burly halfling reaches nearly the same location as Grigor before flinging his handaxe into the beast's unwounded side. The axe bites deeply, but the wound tears and the weapon falls to the bloodstained snow.
With the grace and speed of a cat (or a Tabaxi, in this case), Raja nearly flies past his companions, encircling the foe to arrive behind the melee, and fires a crossbow bolt to devastating effect! The bolt lodges squarely in the monster's broad back, eliciting a howl of anger and pain.
Though hopelessly beyond the reach of the brute's stubby arms, the monster scrabbles with its free hand in a vain attempt to dislodge the offending bolt. But, as it dances about, its mean eyes light of Raja and it seems to recognize the Tabaxi as being responsible for its greatest source of pain. The monster bellows in fury and charges at its new target! As it moves, however, the strange energy endowed by Warren's blade suddenly coalesce into a small pinprick of light before exploded with a BOOM reminiscent of thunder [taking 5 thunder damage]. Unfortunately, its fury seems to have endowed it with single-minded purpose and the magic barely slows its charge as it swings the tree-like club at Raja!
Enemy attack: 20
Damage if attack hits: 13
In its haste, the monster seemed to totally neglect its other foes and, though Griffen is not presented with a viable opening, both Warren and Remdesivir are quick to strike at the creature's exposed back!
Warren attack of opportunity: 10 and damage if hit 10
Remdesivir attack of opportunity: 11 and damage if hit 7
Raja easily dodges the incoming blow, allowing the club to smash harmlessly against a nearby tree.
The monster is less nimble, however. Both Warren and Remdesivir's blades connect, opening twin slashes of crimson across the beast's back, neatly bracketing Raja's still-protruding crossbow bolt.

Raja is perturbed that the monster would take a swing at him. He whispers a prayer to Leira and casts Toll the Dead as a retort. The monster must make a will save (DC 13). If successful, the monster takes 8 necrotic damage.
Wick—amused at the boldness of Warren—moves off his horse and steps to cover Warren. He readies his bow watches the area in front of Warren.
