"But once we get the mask, why give it to Talis?" Torman asks Duncan in a whisper while Buc is away. "Why not try to get it to the Harpers instead, or keep it ourselves? That way the cult cannot use it for whatever evil purposes they have in mind. Hey, better idea! Let's destroy it!"
Thinking for a moment, Duncan responds even more quietly to Torman, "Even better, if you can find a way to subtly mark it so that one familiar with the mark can scry on it, the mask may become a valuable source of information on the cult's innermost council. But let us speak no more of it for now--Talis is already suspicious of spies in our midst."

"Considering Talis knows quite well I am not a cultist, I am not certain what game she is playing." Kat speaks up with a glance to the others. She keeps her voice low enough to not alert the guards ahead, or the true cultists with them. "I have no intention of getting the white mask to Talis, so best we have that out in the open from the start." She brushes her white hair behind an ear, her ebony skin standing out starkly against the snowy landscape. "My only interest here is to learn where this treasure is going, and why it is going there. If I can derail any plots the cult has going in the process, so much the better."
Liking Duncan's suggestion, Torman pulls out his spellbook and checks to see if he has a Wizard's Mark or some other marking or scrying spell. He notes the Glyph of Warding spell but sees it is useless if the object is moved. Maybe he could modify it. He ponders the possibilities . . . .
Kat watches their guide as he speaks with the ogres and anyone else guarding the way forward. She is tense and works to keep her nerves from showing. "What is taking so long?" She asks the others, frowning as she notices one of them has a spellbook out and is looking to be reading. "Is this the best time to be doing that?" She asks with a glance to the guards.
Moving off to tend to the Wyverns, Duncan makes sure they are comfortable and properly restrained, but ready to go at a moment’s notice if he and his companions need to make a hasty retreat from this floating castle.

As the Wyverns dive off the flying castle. Buc replies but all you can hear and feel is the chill and howl of the wind being in the northern part of Faerun. On a floating castle made of Ice above snow capped mountains. (I hope you brought your long johns)
Sighing and looking out over the clouds, Duncan says, "I was afraid of that." Moving over to the kobold with his saddlebags in hand, he says, "Edict, I presume? Lead on."

"You're right, Kat. This is probably no the best time for studying." Torman closes his book and puts it away. He dons his pack and begins following the kobold. "It sure is cold up here. I hope it is warmer inside. And as for getting down, Duncan," he says over his shoulder, "don't worry too much about that. If we don't find another way off, we can always jump." He grins mischievously.
Azurre follows, trying to remember anything about masks and dragons, but it eludes him. He raises an eyebrow at Kay’s assertion but holds his tongue. If it comes to it he doesn’t want to give more power to this cult, but realizes there may be more to come. There are several colors of dragons after all.
Kat shrugs as the wyverns fly off. She turns and follows after the tiny figure of the kobold, smiling a bit amused, as she sees the small halberd the short kobold is carrying. "So where are you taking us to?" She asks the kobold, stepping up to walk next to them.
"Taking you to see the white lady of course." The larger than usual Kobold named Edict with whitish scales says As you walk thru the gate a heavy oak-and-iron portcullis is drawn up just behind the drawbridge. Two life-sized statues of 18-foot-tall cloud giants — one male and one female — stand behind the portcullis, facing each other within the covered gateway.
Edict stops infront of the statues in the middle of the muderholes, shouts loudly. “Tiamat, Our Mother and Strength” He walks thru and turns around and stares at you waiting as if expecting you to do something.

Kat shrugs and calls out... “Tiamat, Our Mother and Strength” She then follows the Kobold.
Duncan:
Striding up to the murder hole location, Duncan says steadily, "Tiamat, Our Mother and Strength," then continues following the kobold.
