Sounds interesting. Would love to get involved. Like OculisAlbumCorvum, the idea of being a lesser god/demi-god would be really interesting. I have often had characters which linked to fire in some way - the forge, or volcanoes for example. That could fit quite nicely under the domain of nature.
I'm looking forward to finding out what the first 3 Gods come up with, it's hard to plan a character without dets. I've played around a Huntress of Night idea, elven ranger to start. I had been considering a magic-user of some sort but I noticed you have your eye on Arcane sphere. I think someone else posted interest in Nature sphere. I don't mind being on the front lines either, as long as it's an interesting fighter type... as in not a brainless brawler or predictable Paladin.
Ouch! well, then, in an effort to avoid further disfigurement... everything mentioned above is completely erroneous and meant to mislead so it will be an utterly shocking impossible-to-guess surprise... is that better? Hope your eyes are intact... ;)
Hi! It sounds really interesting, I'd love to join if you are still accepting players. The only problem may be that I'm quite new to D&D but maybe we could play around that by creating a lesser being or some time of servant so I can get the hang of it at the same time as my character grows in power or something like that. So, if you don't mind be being a noob I'd love to join all of you.
Thanks for the continued interest! I will eventually get back to people who leave a post here, as I assume that much implies a certain amount of interest. At this point, we are still moving forward with a brief storyline involving the First Three Gods of the new pantheon, after which they will have a small amount of "free time" to shape the world as they please. Then, the second wave of gods will arrive, most of whom have already been chosen. I will need to review my list for all those who have reached out to me thus far for such positions, but essentially I hope to drop all of the rest of you in roughly at the same time, to keep up with the immense amount of activity going on, and then let each of you find out about each other, and each other's stories as we go. I'll throw around a few existential threats later on, to keep things interesting, but it would also not surprise me if others of you created that sort of thing all on your own.
Again, thanks for the interest! I'll keep everyone posted, and leave the Recruiting tag on for the time being. We have a good number of people interested, many with characters ready to go, but presumably gods can still be slain, people may drop out, and new forces take the lead! For that reason, I hope to still get around to posting here now and again.
The Gods have stepped forth! In brief overview, the gods, in their first cognizant moments, established a connection to the Halls of the Divine, and made some preparations there to aid them in shaping the world(s) given to their protection and whim. A problem, however, has surfaced, leading them into confrontation with something that is not a god, but far, far worse...
Just wanted to give a quick update for all those who have responded thus far! Thanks for all of those who have sent in PM's - I have you noted down and as the first Three will likely soon move into a more OOC-driven mode of the game, I hope to be able to fold in half a dozen or so new gods to make the second, and perhaps even third generations. Progress has been, slow, but constant, for which reason I am glad.
Alright! I am in the final stages of wrapping up the first little chapter of this game, and will shortly be ready to onboard the second generation of gods, who will be arriving contemporaneously with a large contingent of worshipful mortals, ready to populate the world. I probably won't get to it today, but by tomorrow evening I hope to have things mostly ready. If you are wanting to join at this juncture, I would appreciate a PM ping just so that I can have an easier reference at my fingertips when I get around to cataloguing who all will be coming in and where.
After a few confusing moments, sharing revelations and introductions, the new gods move to explore the Divine Halls, carried there by Catrana's graceful guidance. Once there, we shall see what most strikes their attentions, the other doors on this corner of the Divine Halls, the various chambers designed and created by the Elder Gods, or the promise of untold worlds beyond!
Meanwhile, the world nears its completion and stands in readiness for the arrival or mortals. 10 great cities stand empty, waiting to protect and serve the arriving mortals and jumpstart their civilizations ten fold! The realm of death stands empty, and waiting for the first to die, and thus return home. Animal and plant life flourishes, but there are yet mysteries to uncover as the Elder gods receive visitors from other branches of reality, all interwoven through the Divine Halls itself.
This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

Heh. I think this died. I was working my way up to a femme Stalin. Someone would have to take over DMing, and I've learned from experience that I am not that person.
I received a dm from the originator. They confirmed this. The project had become too big for them to manage and would need someone else to take over if this is to continue.

I hope there will be more interested in this. I got a good feeling.

oh, intriguing. Would hate to see one of the 3 die, but an injured god would be interesting. Also the big bad could even inspire followers of his own.
"to be able to fold in half a dozen or so new gods..."
Not every God will be folded like batter... there may be the odd God with a mind of their own.
