What is Rotthran doing this morning?

Rotthran drinks his coffee and leaves. He makes his way to the different fences in Waterdeep to track any unusual items being put through, still looking into the Viper.

Let's start with an investigation check.

Twitch is going to try and convince Meep that they should go kill some more Xanadus.....but won't be hard to convince if another activity is offered.

Meep tries to convince Twitch to go with him and Lussa. "Lussa is smart and quick, and the Xanadu doesn't like her, so if we go with her, we'll probably find some to fight anyway. Besides, you never know what else might happen!"

 Twitch frowns for a moment but then brightens and follows.

Rotthran Investigation Check: 16

Rotthran

With your 16, you speak to various fences. They tell you that several factions are seeking the Stone of Golorr. You learn from a couple of sources that it might lead some folks to finding a large stash of gold dragon coins in the Waterdeep. You learn from one of your Zhentarim fences that the Xanathar is seeking this item - so now Manshoon wants this found.

You also hear of a rumor that Aurora's recently acquired some interesting magic items in their stores, and more will be coming within the docks. You weren't able to get specifics on this.

Other unusual items that are in the city include

• - a Special set of splint mail from Cormyr that was recently acquired by the Amcanthras in the North Ward.
• - a set of plate mail that once belonged to King Azoun V is now on display in a museum in the Sea Ward.
• - One of the members of the Aboleth Society came upon a set of magical swords. Among them is a Holy Avenger.

As for the Black Viper, there hasn't been much activity about her in the last couple of days. One of the fences tells you that Victorio Cassalanters recently threatened Esvele Rosznar, the latter you briefly spoke to during your initial investigation.

Lussa, Meep and Twitch

Tell me how you plan to go about finding this Roland. As you begin your investigation, give me an Investigation/Intelligence Check. Lussa can do this with advantage.

Twitch begins asking random people if they know Roland...mostly urchins and beggars they pass in the street.

Rotthran pops back into the streets, casually making note of the general atmosphere. He makes his way slowly towards the biggest library in the city but stopping just before a Zhentarim urchin and tosses a coin into the cup.

"A job lit oe, friend. The hiblokni needs information ka lord koret syt ka sarum ti mon threatening lady bysne eagle. To will tun collect ly a few days. Tato ro golorr, laf mon the hal ka the streets?" mutters Rotthran to the urchin.

Thieves Cant:

 After the answer, Rotthran heads directly into the library to do some research on the noble houses and the stone.

Lussa investigation check:  13.

Lussa would like to head to the temple of Selune, as that has been a common theme in her visions, and a little divine guidance may not be a bad idea.

Meep is going to ask every food merchant he sees, both about the specials of the day and also if they've seen this Roland. Investigation: 26

Lussa, Meep and Twitch

Twitch, your 4 doesn't get you far. As you talk to people, some are confused while others are wondering if you could give them specifics about the person you're looking for.

Lussa, you mention a temple of Selune and a young woman tells you to visit the House of the Moon in the Sea Ward. "It's the biggest temple or one of the biggest in the city."

Meep, with your 26, you happen to be at a food cart where the merchant tells you the various specials, including a soup and Sembia sandwich for 5 copper, Waterdeep Dogs, which are a copper each, along with a Silverhand Pancake which are a plateful of tiny pancakes. "They're named after Lady Silverhand."

As he points over to a woman eating pancakes surrounded by guards. "They're damn good pancakes," Open Lord Laerel Silverhand says before her eyes go to Meep. "You're looking for this Roland. I think I can help you. Go to the Blushing Mermaid in the Sea Ward. You'll find him. Also you look like a practitioner of magic. You can use this."

Meep, roll me a percentile.

Rotthran

The urchin and nods and he doesn't speak but he begins to write.

Rotthran diverts to the Yawning Portal instead of the library and enters.

"House ale," he orders.

Durnan nods. "House ale it is." As he fills the mug, he hands it to you. "What can I help you with, friend?"

Meep buys two Waterdeep dogs, extra mustard.

"Thank you, m'lady. I'll try them next time! And thank you for the suggestion. I'll try that now!"

Delmalis gives the firbolg a friendly smile and a shrug, "Not sure really, just browsing. Have anything interesting?"

"Have you seen a rock gnome, I was supposed to meet him here on important business but I don't see him here and I am a little worried," asks Rotthran.
