Seeing the drider enter, Meep shrieks, realizing how dangerous these creatures are, and casts Mage Armor before darting behind Twitch. 

 Depending on the actions of the Xanathar harassing, if it escalates, Rotthran and the troupe will intervene otherwise wait until the Zhentarim outnumber the Xanathar and make an example of them.

Twitch hisses excitedly and launches themselves at the nearest Drider, axe leading.

BA: Rage.

After a few moments Rotthran, you hear a soft voice communicate with you that says "We heard about your Xanathar troubles. The boss sent us after learning of the butcher's incident." You watch as a couple of Zhentarim soldiers appear. Although they're in traditional City Watch attire, you see the flying snake symbol on their tabards. OOC: No worries. I should have said something to you in a PM but I didn't want to seem like I was pushy.

After a few moments, Davil Starsong arrives and nods at everyone. "Looks like we have a situation here. Rotthran, I want you to focus on getting the stone. We'll take care of the rest."

Rotthran, you know that Davil is powerful compared to the others who just joined you - if the challenge he posed had a rating, it'd be six.

After Davil finishes speaking, you hear a crash from the other side as large apparatus breaks through and plows through the Xanathar thugs. The top opens and you see an old woman with fire in her eyes. "This wasn't what we agreed to you Xanathar goons!" You notice she's waving the stone in her hands.

Davil and the others race toward the Xanathar. What do you do?

Meep, your Mage Armor goes off and you feel protected.

Twitch, you dive headfirst into battle and swing your weapon, but miss widely.

The Drider draws their sword and will use three attacks, one at Twitch and two at Wardragon.

Attack against Twitch: 21 Damage: 5

Attack against Wardragon: 14 Damage: 10

10 Damage: 9

Warddragon draws his magical axe and attacks the drider.

Attack: 25 Damage: 7

Attack: 27 Damage: 12

Attack: 26 Damage: 13

Attack: 27 Damage: 14

Everyone else go ahead and post their round 1 actions. Meep and Twitch, post your round 2 actions.

Meep will continue to find and make best use of cover, and almost absent-mindedly cast Magic Missile at the drider, for 7 force damage.

"Well then...this is ....," Sybil is a bit loss for words before she cast Armor of Agathys on herself.

Lussa initiative:  7

(sorry, extra long day at work yesterday)

Lussa will cast Hunter's Mark on drider attacking the party, and open fire on it:  
    Attack: 6 Damage: 9
    Dread ambusher Attack: 7 Damage: 8

OOC: No worries. I had one of those this morning.

Delmalis quickly moves to get behind the Drider, trying to divide its focus as he swings his quarterstaff at its legs with both hands followed up with two quick kicks.

(Forgot to roll attacks at advantage for flanking if available: 26  20  9)

Angered, Twitch hcked away with their axes.

Demalis, all three of your blows strike true and you hear the crunching of limbs from that critical hit.

Lussa, your arrows sing as both stick into the drider. Sybil, you activate your spell.

Roland will fire a Guiding Bolt at the Drider

The Captain will try and finish it with a long sword.

Attack: 24 Damage: 12

At the top of the round, Warddragon nods and disengages, dashing to the other side of the inn. "You've lot got this."

Meep, your missiles collide with the drider, causing it to stumble, but it's still standing. Twitch, you swing your axes fast and furious, but they bounce off the drider's hide.

Bloodied, the drider turns to Demalis. "I'll enjoy killing you first."

Bite: Attack: 21 Damage: 3 Percing and 3 Poison

Short Sword - Attack: 21 Damage: 4

This thing is looking pretty bad. Everyone post your actions for round 2, save for Meep and Twitch, who are on round 3.

Twitch is getting extremely angry and begins hammering with their axes at the driders carapace in a frenzy.

Attack: 8 Damage: 7

Attack: 4 Damage: 4

Lussa fires again:  Attack: 20 Damage: 7

Sybil tries to move farther away from the dangerous while pointing her shard in the direction of the Drider, "Back off already. You're giving me the chills," She cast Eldtrich Blasts

Attack: 20 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.

OOC: faceplam, i have a +6 to attacj rolls and this is what I get....
