I'm guessing Twitch handed Sybil the letter as well as it's still the morning. Here's what it says.

 Mirt's House is in the Castle Ward and you believe he'll be home.

Sybil will depaort for Mirt's house after some time, she doesn't want to interupt breakfast. 

Sybil

You leave for Mirt's House later that morning and arrive before noon. Mirt is actually seeing off Durnan, who you believe is going back to the Yawning Portal. Durnan regards you with a wave as Mirt nods and waves you inside. "Good day Sybil. What brings you to my house? Get ya a drink?"

"I'm good," Sybil waves off the offer for a drink, "You mentioned before about an Open Lord who took a lot gold and hid it? Seems like Xanathar's focus on this. I believe you should have heard about a drider attack from yesterday? Seems like they were after information about the treasure. My household keeps taking jobs that resulting in crossing Xanathar so I want to know what I can about his goals. Also any means to find more information, no offense, but sources I can cross reference with you tell me would be apprenticed," 

Sybil

Mirt nods and leads you into his guest area. There are toys scattered throughout the room such as a ventriloquist dummy, a stuffed bear, and a toy dragon. "Pardon the mess, we had some of the Wands children over. I've heard about yesterday's event."

He takes a drink of water before turning back to you. "Xanathar isn't the only one after Nevermember's gold, but it sounds like he's gone to extremes to get it. We've learned that Xanathar has a couple of different motivations. First, he wants to wipe out the Zhentarim in Waterdeep. Any operative or symphathizer. He also wants that gold to possibly overthrow the Open Lord, Lady Silverhand. He's afraid of her but he won't directly engage her in combat or harm her, or anyone in her employ. We know his lair is a dungeon under Skullport."

Mirt takes another drink before placing his glass on a table. "If he's after you and your household, it could likely because you're all working for the Zhentarim, or one of you are, or he knows that you have information regarding Nevemember's gold. Which is it?"

"I wouldn't say he's after us exactly but rather we keep taking jobs that interferes with plans he set into motion. Got hired to rescue a guy who was taken by Xanathar. Hired to escort some kids for some scout thing, Xanathar want to kidnap the kids and we stopped that. I think yesterday was more about Drizzit, whgo wer were once again hired to bodyguard. I know he doesn't need one but it was a pay day," Sybil explains, "Ever just run into the same person over and over no matter what you do? Don't plan it nor does he but there you are, same place, same time by happenstance. That seem to be our situation with Xanathar. Sooner or later, he's going to be upset with us and I liike to know what I can. Also received a letter from  Watchful Order of Magists and Protectors. Do they really have a use for ...my kind of spell caster? I'm neither a wizard or a sorcerer,"

Mirt listens to your words and sighs when you mention The Watchful Order. "The Watchful Order wants all warlocks to register, but it's more to keep eyes on you. I have some friends in the Order and they're good people. However, the older members of the Order don't trust warlocks. Not at all, nor do the senior members. They believe that the idea of a pact allows them to sidestep personal responsibility for their actions."

His tone shifts to a more serious one. "You don't have to register with the Order. If you don't,  you'll likely be watched by them. If that happens, or if they give you any trouble, tell me and I'll personally go to them to leave you alone. As for Xanathar, he has numerous agents in the city. Since you've already beaten his men, he'll likely leave you alone before sending someone else. Is there any more specific information you need?"

Meep reads the note, and seeing that Sybil has already left, goes off in search of new friends. "Twitch, do you want to meet some more wizards? And I think I'll buy a Silvered Warhammer, and I might need you to help me carry it. We can get lunch, too!"

"Right now, I'm seeking information about the Open Lord who stole the gold. This event seem to be common thread in our interactions with Xanathar and to be honest, the idea interest me. Normally I'm diving into ancient ruins with tales of treasure waiting and yet I'm hearing a similar story in a very alive city. My housemate seem have to become obessed with idea of a real gold dragon in the city, That's s quite a belief right?" Sybil said, making mental note to ignore the order's letter in the future.

Mirt sighs at the mention of the "former Open Lord." He takes another drink and begins," Before Laeral Silverhand there was an Open Lord named Dagult Nevermember. Originally from Nevermember, he became Open Lord in 1479 DR. Waterdeep thrived at the beginning of his tenure. He was charismatic and practical, but he was also manipulative and a jerk to those who weren't human.  seemed to be about taking Waterdeep's resources and rebuilding Neverwinter. It's fine to help allies in other cities, but when you're doing at the expense of Waterdeep citizens, it becomes a problem. Eventually, the other lords grew tired of this and they voted him out of the fold. He returned to Neverwinter to become the Lord Protector and hasn't returned since. What we didn't know was that he embezzled 500,000 gold dragons and stashed them in a vault somewhere in the city. It's likely the vault is underground, we just don't know where it is. As for your friend thinking there are gold dragons in the city, he might not be far off. Nevermember tasked adventurers to meet with metallic dragons during the Tiamat conflict and he might have made a deal with one or two regarding his gold."

Meep and Twitch, where do you want to go first?

Once her visit with Lady Amcanthra is complete, Lussa will take the archery equipment to the children to start their training.

Rotthran is keeping low in the manor, trying to communicate with the stone.

"Thank you for the information. I hope this become useful when dealing with Xanathar in the future even just as a bluff," Sybil said as she bows and heads out. proably take a peek about the drinking estiblishments in the area before heading back to the house.
