"There's not much history to uncover here I believe. The coin will help out fund digs for sure," Sybil absent-minded to the conversation while keeping an eye out for trouble. It seem too easy to her.

" We take gold?"

" We can bring more kids to live at Manor if we have a lot gold. Maybe all of them?"

Twitch looked confused as to why this was happening but would assist to load up the bag if needed....

Barok nods. "This staff isn't going anywhere."

Roland and Twitch begin loading up the horde. "I think as Demalis said, we'll need to alert Waterdeep, though I'm sure we'll get to keep some of the rewards. After all, if knowledge of Nevermember's embezzlement got out, it might look embarrassing."

Demalis, I won't make you roll a check to find the other items in the horde, but here's what everyone would find.

• Ioun stone (absorption)
• Flame Tongue (it can be one of the weapons - greatsword, longsword, rapier, scimitar, shortsword. Whoever takes it, I'll let them choose)
  
• Adamantine armor (chain mail)
• 4 Potions of healing
• Dust of Sneezing and Choking
• +1 Scimitar
• Pipes of the Sewers
• Crystal Ball

These items can be found in the DM Guide description on DND Beyond, or you should be able to bring them up if you add them to your inventory. I can always find a description and give it to you.

Sybil, when you mention digs, Barok nods. "I'm sure there are numerous places to dig in Waterdeep, and around the Sword Coast."

I'll say it takes Roland, Twitch, and whoever else is helping about 30 minutes to load the gold. Once it's all loaded, is there anything else you want to do in this vault or do you have any more questions with Barok?

Twitch isn't really sure whats happening and has no interest in the items, though they point out a number to Meep that look ' wizardy'.

" What do you eat down here?", Twitch asked Barok.

Lussa finally recovers from the revelation that Barok is a gold dragon, and asks a bit guardedly, "so is it true that the metallics and chromatics follow different paths?  You behave quite differently than the one that destroyed my village just to have a new place to sleep."

Slightly oblivious, Twitch is dismayed to find out that an evil dwarf destroyed Lussa's village.....though slightly perplexed by the logistics.

Barok shrugs and almost stumbles his words for a bit. "I''ve lived long enough to not require too much sustenance in my lifetime."

He nods and takes several steps back before he transforms into his gold dragon form - a young adult gold dragon to be specific. "Yes, chromatics and metallic dragons go different paths. We follow the path of Bahamut and we look out for the ... how do I say this as not to offend ... the smaller folk. I'm dismayed to hear that another dragon destroyed your home. Even the chromatic dragons follow a different path, well some of them anyways. In my case, perhaps it's my time among folks like yourselves that has shaped my behavior." 

He pauses for a moment before he continues. "With you taking the gold, my time as a guardian is done. I know you're seeking information on how to summon a mythal to keep a dragon from your home, but that may prove beyond even the Open Lord's capabilities. Still, I would like to help you in this quest.

 Demalis

Not knowing there was a dragon here until this exact moment, Twitch immediately pees themselves and moves in front of Meep while hyperventilating.

Lussa nods, "thank you, any help at all would be most welcome!"

Meep puts a calming hand on Twitch's shoulder and tells them "It's okay, he's ... uh, a cousin of mine. Distant relation. Didn't see it at first, but he's a friend. Easy, Twitch."

"Well then..., Perhaps we should take our leave and figure out our next step elsewhere. The treasure may be within our grasp, the dangers that brought us to seek it out is still present," Sybil states.  

"I agree, but shouldn't we return this to the Open Lord? The current one, I mean. If this is the people's money, we can't just keep all of it - can we?" Meep says this while simultaneously tucking the crystal ball into his own backpack. 

"Figure it out when we're safe," Sybil states with a wave of her hand, keeping her head on a pivot, "It's always when your hands on the treasure when someone likes to show up after you trip all the traps and did the dangerous bit. I remember hearing about a story about Dr Jones who had outran a boulder trap and his rival was waiting just outside,"

Delmalis shakes his head as if to clear it a little, then looks a little puzzled, "Why was a doctor in that position? Anyway, yes, I agree we should leave. Though there's a door up above I'd like to check out on the way back. Or another trip down if you know a quicker and safe way back out of here, sir dragon?" 

Twitch relaxed at Meeps touch but still stared gobsmacked at the enormous creature.

Aurinax nods at Twitch before answering Demalis. "My apologies, I didn't mean to startle you, little one. There is a back door out of this cavern that will take you to the room that is below the bridges and that should take you to the theater entrance (OOC: This would be the second room).

The dragon winks at Meep. "Yes, we are distant cousins. Surely that is enough to earn you free drinks at Trollskull Manor. I do love that place." 

Meep, you notice he begins to trail off as gold dragons tend to do before he snaps out of it and produces a writ with a gold talon with a A over an I. "If you wish to speak to the Open Lord., present her this" 

Roland looks at the sigil. "That looks like the Acquisitions Incorporated logo." 

"I know," Aurinax answers, rolling his eyes. "That damn Omin Dran stole the logo from me. Surprised he hasn't tried to sell you on his company. Sorry, I was rambling again. My sigil will show Lady Silverhand that I allowed you to take the gold back to her." 

" Thankyou, Your......Goldiness.", Twitch said unsurely.

" We go now."

"Thank you for your words and direction," Sybil gives a slight bow but keeps her eyes on the dragon and a little on edge. 

Is everyone ready to leave the vault and go out the back way?
