As Twitch is about to reach Blanket and swings, the scarecrow falls dead next to Lussa. Meep, as if channeling some wicked witch, sends another firebolt to the scarecrow, lighting the construct on fire. 

Combat is over and everyone is out of Initiative. 

Those who want to search the scarecrow's two bodies give me an Investigation or Perception Check - DC 13. 

Here's what you find on each

"So who do we contact about a job done?" Sybil asks, "Also maybe we should sort through this somewhere better lit?"

There appears to be nothing edible on these creatures, so Meep doesn't look too closely.

Lussa perception check:  21

Lussa checks over the remains, then says, "my contact for this job is in the South Ward, depending when we wrap up at the docks, we can swing by, or I will pay them a visit in the morning."

Like Meep, Twitch seems to lose interest in the scarecrows as soon as they're not moving.

Lussa will attempt to collect the vials:  Sleight of Hand check:  20

And disclose to the group any and all items she found on the body/bodies.

Delmalis will help gather and lay out the various items before turning to Meep, "Well, my arcanist friend, do you have any idea what these are? And we should head to the docks, we can drop off the handkerchief, look for the killer, and then stop by your contact in the morning, is that ok Lussa?"

Lussa easily takes the vials off the bodies. Meep can go ahead and make an Arcana check. 

Meep takes a look at everything. "I can give you a general sense, but if you want specifics, I can take a few minutes and tell you exactly what one thing is. I know we're short on time, so let's just see what we're dealing with..."

Arcana: 24

Meep, you can tell that both daggers are magical. The sword is as well and when you touch it, it also gives off a soft glow.

"If you want to give me half an hour, I'll tell you what these are, or we can wait until we get back to the Manor - it's up to you all - maybe these would be useful?" Meep looks around, finds a caterpillar, and eats it. 

"I'm inclined to say we best not remains here with the dark. Even if we dealt with the scarecrows, we're outside the city and there are dangerous present beside magical constructs," Sybil mentions as she waves around her lantern into the darkness. 

Lussa nods, "let's get back to the city."  She will gather some token from each of the bodies as proof in case its needed.

We'll say you make it back to the city at night. DId everyone want to go to the Docks first, return home, or something else?

Lussa is willing to head straight to the docks, to find the nightblade and/or turn in handkerchief mission.  If her Emerald Enclave contact is on the way, stop there to see if anyone is still awake.

Delmalis would suggest heading to the docks, but wouldn't object if the others wished to head back, suggesting we just stow the items until we know what they are.

"I doubt the killer will wait for us so let's just toss the items into a bag and deal with it later. What can wait, can wait," Sybil states before taking a drink from water bag, "I say head for the docks. Maybe we won't even find them tonight,"

Twitch followed the others towards the docks......still wondering why some scarecrows moved and others didn't.

Meep shrugs, and follows along to the docks.
