Day 1 of Renovations - Early afternoon.

Right now, everyone is at the Manor.

• - Renovations are being done and crews have arrived.
• - Sybil and Demalis just met Rotthran who inquired about helping the group.
• - Lussa, Meep, and Twitch returned from gathering information about The Black Viper, a thief in Waterdeep.
• - They also acquired a bodyguard job where they're going to protect the adventurer Drizzt Do'Urden at Mielikki Con in three days (Day 4).
• - They also found a couple of potential jobs through ads in the newspaper.
  • 1) escorting children through the City of the Dead. They're to contact the noble families in the North Ward.
  • There is someone named Roland who is seeking a room to rent. He can be found at the Moonstar House in the Castle Ward.

"So in terms of work, we have a children escort through a city of the dead, whatever that is, which we can do now?," Sybil restates with commentary. "Another job 'bodyguarding' a legend in  a few days and someone's looking to rent a room which I'm not sure we have.  So what's a city of the dead?," 

Meep says "It's the largest cemetery here in Waterdeep, or so I'm told. It's above ground and it's supposed to be quite scenic, with lots of snacking opportunities!"

Delmalis listens carefully, "I think the escort should be easy enough, and get us some goodwill among the nobles, I'm hesitant about the bodyguard job as I'm not sure we'd be able to handle any threats large enough to bother targeting someone like him, and as for renting the room, maybe when the renovations are done, but until then it wouldn't be much of a room. Also, our visitor here says he's from the Zhentarim."

Lussa nods to Delmalis, "yes, definitely want to see about the escort, but the bodyguard job is already ours.  Drizzt really doesn't want or need bodyguards, but the city is requiring them, so it's supposed to be a cakewalk for us."  (And for exactly THAT reason, we know it won't be....lol.)  "Also, if everyone can check with any contact they have in the city to gather information on the Black Viper, that could prove lucrative financially, or at least good for our reputations."

Twitch just lounged about the place thinking it was a job well done finding fun things that people would give money for.

They pulled out their murder-list and read through it again and crossed out a couple of names before shoving it back in their pocket.

"The bodyguard job is in a few days, We should have enough time to escort some kids through a graveyard," Sybil states, "Renting out a room is easy but what do we know about this guy? Why is he looking for a room?" 

Meep pulls a bar stool over to a corner and reaches up to try and nab a spider for a snack. "It's possible he just wants a neutral place to conduct some business. Back when I was ... when I traveled with the Gray Dwarves, they sometimes met mind flayers and mushroom men in neutral places so that nobody had an advantage for negotiations."

"Let's go talk to the nobles about arranging the tour, maybe for tomorrow so we are not rushed?  And it may be asking a bit much to rent out a room with the repairs and renovations going on, but I haven't even been upstairs, so no idea if we have a room to spare or not."  Lussa looks around at the others, "who's with me?"

"I guess I should go with you to talk to nobles. Hopefully we don't offend them. I think that's an arrestable offense or something," Sybil states. 

Delmalis hesitates, then shakes his head, "I think I'm going to go pay a visit to one of our former patrons and ask what he might know about this Viper. Rotthran, would you mind asking your group if they know anything about them?"

Since it's the afternoon, what is everyone doing?

Sybil is going with Lussa to speak with the nobles about city of the dead escort I guess. 

Lussa is planning to head to Phaulkonmore after going with Sybil to arrange escorting the children through the City of the Dead to see if they have info on the Black Viper.

"I could check to see if my associates know anything about the Viper," says Rotthran as he makes for the door.

As Demalis, Twitch, Meep answer,

Do we want to do everything via PM or stick with the main thread?

Meep will go with Delmalis to ask about the Viper.

Twitch fully supports the Vipers activities and hs no desire to interfere with them, so will spend the day asleep in the tap room.
