The dwarf nods. "Aurora's has a tab for customers. We'll just put it on that and you can pay back later. Since you signed up with us, you can keep the other silver dagger."

With that, he hands them both to Rotthran.

Rotthran thanks the Master Dwarf and heads back to the manor for the night.

Day 3

Everyone returns to the Manor and enjoys a long rest.

The bodyguard job for Drizzt at Mielikki Con is a day away, so you have time to yourselves. What is everyone doing in the morning?

How do we stand with getting everything we need for the bar as far as food, drink furniture, etc?

The food and drink have already been delivered as well as the furniture. That stuff is included in the guild contracts that you're paying for. All that's really needed is the rennovations, which are being worked on.

Were you thinking of anything specific?

Lussa will be up early, chatting with Lim over coffee.  She will ask him more about Roland and the trip to Undermountain, and if he can teach her how to cook and bartend.

(Bodyguard job is not until tomorrow, right?)

OOC: Yeah, the bodyguard job for Drizzt isn't until the next day.

Lussa, when you ask Lim about cooking and bartending, you hear some movement from downstairs before you see a couple of glasses in front of you. There's also a paper and quill in front of you and Lim begins writing drink and food recipes, as well as bartending tips like "Learn a new drink, Don't overserve, but serve others before serving yourself. Read the right books. Keep your eyes and ears open."

Another book also appears on the bar that reads "Bartender's Guide to the Faerun." Inside are various alcoholic drinks (see below)

In between learning drinks and food, Lim writes on the paper next to you. "Roland is an old friend from my adventuring days. A group of us went into Undermountain and found riches. We also encountered numerous horrors."

Lim continues," Roland bought a tavern and ran it for several years. He didn't have a family so the tavern was his life - a lesson that I didn't learn. I was still young when he passed ... but something odd happened about 20 years later ... I saw him again in Waterdeep. He was a young man and looked a little different, but he was the same Roland. He couldn't explain why he was still alive, but he was. Roland wasn't sure, but he thought Undermountain was the source. That was 50 years ago ... though I can feel his presence in Waterdeep."

Lim finishes the story with about a quarter of the paper left until he adds. "I almost forgot Don't Go Into Undermountain!

Lussa wrinkles her brow, "he's still alive, maybe?  Would you like me to see if I can find him?"  As he adds his emphasis, "I won't.  At least, not if I can help it in any way."  Laying a hand on the book, "do you mind if I borrow this to study?  You do a fine job, but if we get busy, you could probably use some help."

"Maybe I can help with that!" Meep has come downstairs, and is very excited. "I learned something from that book we got in the sewers - prepare to be amazed!"

Meep utters an arcane enchantment, waves his hands around, and jiggles a small piece of wood and some string. "Ta-da!"

Seeing how Lussa (and presumably Lim) are unimpressed, Meep says "Fine, I'll have him do something." To an empty spot nearby, Meep says "Go pour me a cup of coffee, please. Then put away the dishes Lim just washed."

Meep's Unseen Servant gets him a cup of coffee, and then plates start to levitate into cupboards, one by one.

"Now we have a second invisible friend!" Meep is immensely proud of himself. "For an hour at a time, at least. Could be helpful during happy hour."

Twitch claps as they come downstairs and witnesses Meeps new skills.

" Should we go kill more Xanadu today? That was fun."

Lim nods at Lussa. "If you could find him that would be wonderful, and yes, feel free to borrow the book. Honestly, Roland could be an asset as he has as much bartending and inn experience as I."

As Meep's Unseen Servant helps, you're unsure who is doing what for a moment until Lim writes on the chalkboard "Impressive, Meep the Magnificient. Perhaps your friend will be of some help."

Lussa, understanding dawning, smiles at Meep, "Wow, Meep, really nice!  And I think you're right, your servant will be really useful around here."  Glancing over to Lim, she turns back to Meep and Twitch, "Lim told me of a friend of his that should still be in the city that has experience running a tavern.  I was going to see if I could find any trace of him today, unless either of you have other plans?"

Meep agrees, he's copied all the spells he can, so he's up for anything. 

"I would like to mention I can do the same spell should the need arise," Sybil adds more like an afterthought as she went to get her cofee to wake up. 

Delmalis spends the day searching the city for vendors of magical gear and potions of any sort.

Sybil will direct Delmalis to the shop she got her Dark Shard Amulet in his hunt.

Sybil, you direct Demalis to Aurora's Emproium. The clerk is a shaggy-haired firbolg who sips his tea and greets you with a smile. "What can I help ya find?"
