"Yes, the big frog, Old Croaker. Bigger than these, even. Don't worry, he loves to cuddle." The elves laugh. "But we're the last of the crew still here tonight..." She says this carefully, probably knowing full well that others were sent to raid Pelc's. "Old Croaker's been trained, too. If he likes you, you might convince him to not eat you, and even to haul you across the pool."
The elves ready themselves to hike out of the northern tunnel, then pick up their fallen companion. "So will you fix Darryl's face? He's gonna be awful sad if he can't get girls to talk to him at the pub."

Old Malik heads the smart play, and retrieves corpses of bat from the barrel, and taps Shagar as he inspects from afar, "Lets not get too close now; Ifner its a biggin its best to fed from afar." Motioning to the others to stay back, but for the grroup to stay near enough to each other. Malik will toss some Bat corpses near the waters edge and coo softly. 'big toad big toad, how about you and I be friends n' ya eat?'

"This seems like a waste of time and perfectly good bats," Red Chanter says. "There's no telling if this is the pool with the frog they were talking about and there's no way for you all to get across anyway. There's another tunnel to check this way. Why don't we see what's there before spending more precious time fishing?"
She carefully tiptoes a short way down the other tunnel (not getting too far from the group) to see what's ahead.
"We could swim across," Harley suggests, but even as she is saying it she eyes the water, not keen to encounter another giant frog. Perhaps it would be better to go as far as they could get on land first. She begins to follow Red to the other tunnel.
Seeing the party start to advance towards the pool, Daelnar wonders what exists up the other tunnel, seeming heading back towards the entrance. As Red suggests checking that path first, Daelnar grins happily and follws the tabaxi. "Aye, t' check our back an find a drier route certainly be worth a bit o' our time."
He holds the handaxe of light up above his head, so as to cast his shadow down, rather than forwards, keeping to the walls.
"You are not going to eat it yourself, are you?"In Katia's voice there was more of curiosity than horror, "may be give it some time."She watched Red's back moving towards another tunnel. "Or we can check another tunnel, of course.''

Shagar can tell, even in the dim light, that a large shape looms below the surface of the northeastern pool. As Red and the others take off down the other tunnel, Malik throws the dead bats to the pool's edge. Within moments, the water surges as a dark shape swells beneath. With a crash of water up onto the stone, a colossal frog as large as a rowboat climbs ashore.
Ahead, Red can see another cavern. This one appears empty, though the floor is covered in bat guano and the smell is strong even from a distance.

"And how are we supposed to win the favour of a frog?" Harley asks in a demanding way, staring down at the elves before they leave.

The elves snicker and one points to the barrel by the pool. "Just toss it a couple of bats, then pray for the best."
