Cresting the top of the slope ahead, the tunnel opens up into another, much larger chamber.
The slow dripping of water from the ceiling flows to a pool in the southwest corner of this cavern. A large wooden bucket with a lid sits near the edge of the pool. A dwarf and two elves bundled in layers of winter clothing are throwing dead bats into the air. Two giant blue-skinned frogs leap up to snatch the bats in midair, seemingly as part of some sort of training session.
“What the…!?” The bandits reach for their weapons!

Daelnar runs the head of his Vlaice through the water, washing the blood off as Shagar's arrow lands in the last of the frogs. He didn't like killing animals, there was a natural order to the way of things in the wilderness, and hunting for food was a very different activity to this. Yet, we're it men being left behind him, he would not have hesitated to do as much. Strange that. As he returns to the front of the group and they move forward into the next chamber, a noise carries up the chamber to them, almost like the crack of a whip, but smushier. Starting ahead at the wy the frogs are being fed, and the memory of that cold, slimy tongue sticking to his flesh sent a shiver down his back. As the dwarf started to speak, Daelnar was already stepping forward with his glaive in motion. "Surrender, or die!"

From the back, behind everyone, Malik not noticing the upcoming group of folks as he was attempting to locate injuries and patients in his allies chimes up. "Ah, Shut up yer damn youths. We're here to talk to your boss. Stop fighting now. We're here to help the durned ice."19 Intimidation roll to stymid the combat inclinations with an authortative doctor voice.
(I will take an action and such after I figure out a few things; which I'll add after. In effect trying to decide if harley is as injured as I think, which would require immediate attention; or if shagar is the only injured)
"We were sent by her sister, Tulgi," added Katia hoping that name could prevent the bloodshed - one thing is frogs, these could be considered hunting and definitely self-defense. Killing humanoids, and dwarfs in particular bothered her much more.

The dwarf grunts in surprise and clutches at his face as blood spurts over his hand. Daelnar follows up with a solid blow to the side of his head, sending him unconscious to the stoney floor. The bandits stare, open jawed, at the mess made of their companion’s face. Perhaps it’s a trick of the shadows, but one of the elves looks positively green. The other (red) glares at you suspiciously, brandishing her blade toward the body on the floor. “Nice way of showin’ it. This looks like it’s helpin’ anything to you?”
"It appears to be helpin' give you second thoughts about attacking us. Now. We're searching for a cure for the curse from which your boss currently suffers. It's not to be found here feeding frogs and it's certainly not to be found in a trashed curio. We need information to trace it back to its source. Show us to your boss immediately or she'll most certainly die and," Red Chanter looks from Daelnar to the unconscious dwarf "Your chances remain uncertain."
EDIT: Red Chanter points her crossbow and holds an attack in case they decide to fight.
Shagar will draw her bow on the one with the blade. "Don't be a fool, stand down and take us too Hulil. We are trying to help and don't have time to argue."
She will hold her attack till the elf makes an aggressive move .

Harley steps forward next to Malik, arms crossed as if she was confident enough to not even need to ready a weapon. She guesses that the group is quite intimidating enough, and the bandits would be fools to try and attack them anyway. "You're outnumbered, so you'd best be listening if you want to keep your heads," she advises them. Then she turns towards Malik, whispering so the bandits cannot hear, "If you've got the spare resources, I wouldn't mind a bit of patching up myself, in case these folk do decide to resist."
The two elves exchange a look, an unspoken conversation passes between them, and red nods. “She might be sick,” she whispers, “but we aren’t. And we wanna keep it that way. The pay’s good, but it ain’t that good. Let’s make a deal. We’ll sheath our swords and keep our frogs at bay. You let us pass. We’ll take our leave of this place and forget we ever saw you. You do what you want with Hulil and that other praying whacko she’s with. Yea?”

Clanking the small bronze cover upon the bottom of his cane with a sharp retort, Malik patches up Harley"See, I'm good at this." showing the enemy what he'll help with; then moves to patch up the fallen bandit-like person-Malik keeps his word. "Now; ye be sure this one doesn't take a swipe at us and break our deal. Ya'hear?"
(I am assuming that "combat time" is on partial hold here as we're letting them go. So I'll roll both Healing Kit uses. 37 uses left. Harley is the only one I can't do that to again before next rest)
"Aye, let them go, we came here t' do a job, an if'n they aren't gonna cause us t' shed their blood, we ain't gotta risk them shedding ours." Daelnar nods to Red as he speaks in a low tone.
"The big frog in the back pool, and then you'll have to deal with Hulil and her votary. Cultists, you know?" The elf points her finger at her temple and twirls it.
