Webb notices Raadox's unease. "I see that you may be familiar with the more unfortunate members of my kind. I assure you that I am unaffected by the curse that compels so many of my brethren to wanton acts of violence."
Looking back at the elf, his face falls a bit when he hears the amount. "A pittance like that is hardly enough to fund a concern of WHAMs magnitude" Webb grumbles under his breath. Raising his voice, "Very well good sir. Is there anyway we might negotiate an advance?" Persuasion: 8
(ooc: Mobile sucks. I will format later. Also if any of the background info doesn't fit let me know.)
Raadox nods at the hobgoblin, apparently impressed enough by his diction to give him the benefit of the doubt. Doesn't sound like your typical goblin grunt. He turns to the elven ranger. "I agree with the noble goblin here. In order to more fully help your village, if we were paid in advance, we would be more effective." Raadox tries to help Webb in his persuasion efforts.
(OOC: Hopefully Webb can re-roll, taking the best result, as Raadox is giving him Advantage on the Persuasion check.)
Raadox looks around. Hmm, now there's five of us. The share is dropping rapidly. Still, that's forty gold pieces each. Should keep me in wines and warm living for a while. If there's a decent inn around here anyway.
"So, my good man, any suggestions on where we start looking and investigating?" he asks of the ranger.
"I suggest going to his house. I also noticed a trapper by the name of Tulgi showing many of the same symptons as Urgon befoore he passed away - perhaps she knows something?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Bemused, for he had heard of amounts gold pieces this large in connection with his abbey's grocery bill, Sartorin piped up with - 50 gold pieces is too much for me, too. My name is Sartorin. The abbot sent me here to be of assistance to the town and folk, rather than as a money raising venture. All I will need is 2 bowls of noodles with veggies per day and some water. <ooc: constitution check 11> <edit to add: insert tummy rumbles HERE!>
We ought to start with Tulgi the Trapper, in case there is a chance to save her.
"Works for me!" exclaims Raadox to the two goodly folks who aren't interested in the money. "Where can we find the trapper, and where is the dwarf's house? I assume we'll be allowed to enter and take a look around?"
Raadox is going to wait for the promised fifty gold before he sets off.
He looks around. Are there five of us? Two don’t want paying. 200 gold between three of us is a good few nights of good living. Hopefully this investigation won’t be too difficult.
“Ahnold? He’s an ignorant brute of a fellow. Towering in height, big in muscle and small in brain. He stole a precious trinket off me in the south and I’ve tracked him here.”
Elro winks at Raadox and turns to the others. [This is all I have time for this weekend, I'll get back to you on Monday.]
Webb nods his head to Elro as well. "May as well get on with it."
He then turns to pay attention to the conversation between Raadox and Sartorin. "This trinket that was taken from you, is there any reward for its return?" he asks with a hopeful look.
“My eternal gratitude, which is priceless,” grins Raadox with a flourishing bow. And hopefully not too much attention from the sop I cheated out of it...

((sorry for the wait, I was AFK. time zone and availability differences and the sort can made stuff hard))
A tall woman, with electric white hair, pale white skin, sky blue eyes, and a staff on her back walks over the the frozen dwarf
"froze, aye? not much I can do 'bout it now, but I's always dreamin' of being an adventurer a sorts. I'll do what I can to help."
I am an average mathematics enjoyer.

The man who's face is covered by a helmet, Brevan, says "I will go. I have... business in the area." His voice is raspy and stiff, as if unused.
I have a weird sense of humor.
I also make maps.(That's a link)
"Very well. You may have an additional 50gp, paid before you leave - the rest upon completion."
Chilling kinda vibe.
"I doubt we'll be there to collect pay. I've been in enough expeditions coming back short of members."

Elro offers to take you there himself, and says he'll stop by the town hall to pick up the gold. He waits to see how you react to this.
Chilling kinda vibe.

Master Raadox, what else can you tell us of this fellow Ahmold?
