Wait 22-17=5. Vurnic would have to be very close to death to have been put to sleep, or have a horrible constitution score to have less HP than a wizard.
if he doesn’t have less than 17/5 hp, then he’s still up.
Doing the math, with a 14 in con he would have 16 HP left from the magic missile, and I wouldn’t be asleep. In fact, I only take 3 damage from the skeleton as well.
Denka rounds the corner of her hiding spot, clearly not asleep what so ever, and launches another volley of missiles at her foes. She sends all 3 Maginio's direction.

Swigg rises from the water at H4. "Share my madness,"he says as the Ancient One's whispers that plague his mind flood into Maginio. Dissonant Whispers Wis save 12 or take 5 damage, half on success.
Then Swigg will Moonwalk into the shadows Stealth24

m i reading something wrong? it looks like the attack on Maginio missed. How is Maginio awake now ?

So your counting the first attack that hit for 5 damage and not the error reroll that missed?

My IPad says you rolled 3 d20’s. I think you need to re roll, since magic missile at 1st level sends 3 missiles, doing 1d4 +1 force damage.
