You only do a save for if you're in the path. If your the actual target you take the lightning damage if you get hit. If your missed then you take no lightning damage.

Bog:

Argoth moves to throw his Javelin as it transforms into a lightning bolt. It cuts throw the air and strikes Baryk as it turns back to a Javelin. Electrical currents arc through Baryk and his perch. Baryk falls from the tree to the ground as the Javelin falls beside him. (Suffering damage from the fall imposes a failed death save. Only creatures between the thrower and the target make saves. The target is effected by the Attack roll.)

Klong looks to Viator as he floats in the air. "So much cold wind, it must make flying man freeze. Klong will make you warm!" He proceeds by scratching his nails against the skin of his drum, making the same sound as nails on a blackboard. He then runs around the wall and steps below where Viator is floating (if possible)
