(How are you able to cast a spell and use a ranged attack in the same turn?)

Just checking, we can move through the Hedges? Do they count as rough terrain?

(If you've got a tactical map solution, you're welcome to give it a try, but keep in many players (and me) are on mobile so a text based map cannot be wider than this one.)

(Most people seem confused by this map being taller than it is wide. Even though that's never actually what's being represented.)

Tundra:

Lawrence hurls a shard of ice at Grianne but its ineffective. The shard shatters and sprays crystal fragments toward her and Calgin. (Grianne, Calgin Dex save.) Lawrence digs deep and in a surge of action he fires a blast of smoke from his wand. The bear is pierced by some powerful force, but she still stands.

(You have Calgin in the wrong place on the map, I moved around Grianne to M13 to be able to attack shmitty.  That puts me on the opposite side of her from Lawrence, so wouldn't the Ice knife more likely hit on the other side (e.g. column K, closest square to Lawrence looks like K12), and more than 5 feet away from me?)

Ok, just making sure can Ob reach Manikin even with the double move? It seems there is a lot of difficult terrain on the way, and high walls?  Also, 20 for concentration if so. 

And, if possible, I'd like to use my held spell on my attacker.

Jessica upon seeing the kitty will use her reaction to let an arrow fly. Attack: 27 Damage: 8 Once the arrow is is in the air she screams " Bad kitty bad. Don't attack people, now you have to be disciplined."

As In bursts through the bushes Jessica releases an arrow revealing the position where she was hidden. In hardly notices the arrow stick in him through his rage.

Manikin has no trouble holding his magic.

(Weird.  That spell actually has different descriptions in different places.  I was looking at the spell appendix for princes of the apocalypse, which says "The target and each creature within 5 feet of the point where the ice exploded must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 2d6 cold damage.", vs hitting the link to the spell page that uses the wording you said)

Dex save: 12

(Ob can reach this position with 55 feet of movement, including difficult terrain. Running a straight line would take 60.)

Got it, thanks. Manikin takes the hit and struggles to maintain his readied spell, then will release the readied Chill Touch at Ob in response. 23 to Hit and 7 damage if it hits.
