Field:

Before the crowds pour in in the morning the head medic brings out the new applicants to test their strength and assure they are fit to fight.

He moves down the line and looks you over. He looks over your sheets. "Rothander Fireforge? A trades man turned adventurer? They don't make them soft up in the mountains I suppose." Rothander, A stout dwarf with a black Mohawk and eyes of strikingly different colors, one blue the other a dark grey. He where's heavy chain armor and carries a hammer and shield.

"Kilja Dragonova, lacking experience, but eager. Of course, you've got the blood for war in any case." Kilja bears the distinct characteristics of orcish heritage. He has light skin and hair, with crimson eyes. He wears no armor and carries a massive sledge hammer.

 "Tenrok. Looks like you're ready for battle. You're experience in combat will help. Not to mention your heritage." Tenrok, a Giant over 7 feet tall has grey skin, black hair, and dark eyes. He wears no armor and holds a gigantic axe.

"We'll have a gentle warm-up this morning facing some of my training drones."

The fans begin to show up early and the small crowd cheers for the new faces. On the other side if the arena you can hear the buzz of mechanical wings (initiative: 2)

The gates swing open as the mechanism latching them releases 'k'chunk'

Calgin emerges from his shell to swim across the bottom of the arena closer to the platform in the center, then pulls back into his shell.

(Bonus action emerge, move to I6 if I can reach it - is it extra movement to swim?  If so, then go as far as I can, G6 I believe - then action to pull into shell again.  All staying fully submerged).

Field:

Iscal, a pale human with red eyes, bursts into the arena, out of breathe. The medic checks his sheets and grimaces. "Well, we won't discuss your experience." Iskall wears scale armor and carries a shield and sickle. He keeps a pouch on his belt like a mage's bag.

The medic pulls a little box from his pocket with a small knob on it. He turns the knob and the whirring intensifies.

(I feel like the bad guy in Indiana Jones that chose the wrong cup, I took a fire elemental gem that is weak in all water and passed up Mariners half plate that gave swimming lol)
