Also going to 0 HP doesn't mean death, it means going unconscious, after that you make death saves, this should appear once you've gone to 0 HP on your character sheet. Roll a d20 

10 or higher means you made the save, bellow that that means fail, mark the appropriate section, 3 saves means your stable and will become conscious in a few hours, 3 fails mean death, getting a nat 20 on a death save means you gain 1 HP and become conscious, getting a crit fail (1) means getting 2 death saves. If you are attacked while unconscious you fail a death save, if the attack is a nat 20 you fail 2 death saves
