 Viator touches the cloak of protection to admire it's quality. He drapes it over his shoulders and heads into to town to find a general goods store so that he may buy a brass brazier, incense, and coal.

(OOC: I'm back and ready to fight! 2 questions: Can adventuring gear (ie. a rope) be used during combat? What can be bought and sold at the shops?)

I walk to whatever shop is most likely to buy leather armor

Eldin, the gnome scratches his chin as he tries to come up with a number. He starts to list parts and the steps he'll take, before he gets distracted by what he was doing and starts tightening screws as he continues to speak. You can't hear him with his head in some machinery. The secretary says, "Roondar does very good work, though he can't carry a conversation very well... You're going to go out to meet the brewers and sample none of their brews?"

Viator finds an herbalists shop with all sorts of herbs, incense, beakers, flasks and magical components.

Gewonnt, you can fight in whatever manner you wish. The match is still in initiative.

Baryk sells his leather to the armorer for 5 gold.

Eldin says, "I'm afraid not. I don't drink. Alcohol makes me sick. That's why..." Eldin takes the book on brewing out of his bag and shows it to the secretary "I'm bringing this along with me. I also need to find a bartender and establish a partnership with the local commoners." 

Viator picks out a few herbs and and some incense worth about 10 gp. He brings them to the counter and asks, "Do ya have anythin' I can use to burn these in? Preferably brass."

The shop keeper replies, "Certainly." He looks over your goods and says, "I've got a zoology book, if you want some ideas too." (Not that you don't know what the spell already offers.)

The secretary laughs. "Well, ok you go out, and we'll stay here and enjoy this." She raises her mug, "Roondar, brought it along. It's Very good. What's your book say about Gnomes?"

(Well I'd like a flying snake but I don't think you let me. I like snakes and I want it to be wrapped around my shield arm and then basically throw it at people to cast touch spells or for it to help. So I'll settle for the owl.)

Eldin smiles and says, "I'm sure it is. I'll see you around."

Eldin goes to the nearest brewer on the list. When he reaches the place, he knocks on the door. And chants to Hades. (Guidance)

(You can have a flying snake flavor with an owl's stats. The flying snake is mechanically stronger.)
