Seeing first watch is taken care of, Kathrine moves to her own bedroll. "Please wake me for a watch, I do not care which, just as long as I am able to aid in some manner." She then lays down and pulls her blanket over herself.
Rowan tenses in the deep of night - is that the high pitched chatter of Goblins he hears distantly in the depths of the forest? He strains his ears. After a while the sounds die away. Or was it just a squirrel?
Gabriel rouses Katherine just before dawn to guard the periphery as the rest of the party rouses and prepares for the day.
The Lady Anne comes out the wagon with the disheveled husband on her arm. Her girth and height make it easy for her to half-carry the man down the steps to the ground.
"Ah, glad to see none of you be eaten by beasties in the night!" she calls in greeting.
"Hell is empty, and all the devils are in here." The gaunt man moans, holding his head.
The wife, ignoring his muttering, brings him forward to the camp as the party gathers to discuss their course. "Tom can tell ya what happened now. He's right as rain, as ya promised Lady Healer!" Tom glares at her with bloodshot eyes, begins to shake his head but winces.
He sighs. "'Tis the least I can do, seeing as you have saved my life... and my wife." The last bit comes out in a rueful tone.
"Arrows flew at us, and I spurred the horses to crest the hill in hopes of outrunning them. I flung myself to the side of the carriage seat to use it as cover. I must have misjudged. I remember falling... next I knew brave Sildar was leaning over me. Then an arrow buried itself in his shoulder and two figures came, ugly monstrous things, one slight and one large. The two leapt upon him. I attempted to aid him but a boot swung at my head and all went dark."
"Alas, they must have mistaken him for the famous Bard, to have taken him and not me. It will weigh heavy upon my heart if he is not saved from this irony of cruel fate!" Shake-a-spear's eyes begin to roll back into his head and his wife tuts and lowers him gently to rest on the ground.
"Please brave wanderers!" The Bard gasps, raising his head with a wince. "I beg you, rescue the Knight Sildar Hallwinter from his terrible fate, and I will write you into the hallowed halls of history! I will create a pageant of such fury and beauty none shall ever forget the bravery of... you, and you and... you can tell me your names if you come back alive." His head falls back, eyes rolling closed.
"He's a wee bit dramatic." His wife winks up from his side.
After putting his chainmail armor back on, straping his sword to his belt and pulling his pack over his shoulder, Gabriel is ready for the day. "Well my friend I believe we should try and rescue Sildar. Cail what say you, the light good enough to attempt to track them?"
The boy in the troupe pokes his head out of the wagon and yells "Maam, have you seen Reena this morning? She's supposed to be cooking this morning and she ain't nowhere to be found."
Anne looks around with a scowl. "Them cat folk... speaking o which, did ya not have one of em travelling with ya? Where's he gone to now?"

"Here have my god's blessing..." Kathrine says as the group is preparing to start out after the goblins. She will cast guidance on whomever is doing the tracking.
Alarion returns to the spot he had located the day before, where one of the goblin's had been hiding. Within a few minutes he finds a path that appears to have been used by about a dozen creatures coming and going.
The trail leads from near the road to deeper into the forest. It's the width of a deer track.
Rowan realizes that it leads in the same directions as the noises he heard in the middle of the night.
Will the party follow the path, and in what order?
"Well done Alarion " now that the trail is pointed out to him, if he can follow it Gabriel will take the lead, if it is hard to follow he suggests one of the keen eyed members of the group takes the lead, and he will be right behind them.
"First watch is better for me. I'll wake you if anything happens."

Alarion lays down and goes to sleep, his wand within reach.

Gabriel rouses Katherine just before dawn to guard the periphery as the rest of the party rouses and prepares for the day.
"So, what is our plan for the day? Do we track down the goblins and their base, or do we continue to Phandalin?" Alarion asks.
While readying in the morning, Rowen mentions what he heard in the night to the rest of his companions.
"That's a little too suspicious to be a coincidence..."
All have had a long rest.

"I do, and I'm not bad at tracking. Perhaps we could start anyways." Alarion says, pulling his wand from his side.
"Excellent! Lead on my friend, lead on." Gabriel claps Alarion on the back.

Alarion is going to try to track the goblins.
