Seeing that, once again, no one is stepping up with a rope, Kathrine sighs. She begins fiddling with the skirt of her tunic, soon knotting it together between her legs, the hem lifting up to her knees as she does so. She then moves to the chute and looks for places to grab on, to help her start to climb up after the others. She grimaces at the stentch, as well as the filth covering the walls. With another sigh she tries to start climbing as well...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Slipping before she really even got started, she growls and glances up the chute again. She decides to give it one more attempt, then press the rope business...
Landing at the bottom of the chute again, Kathrine pushes up to her feet. "Someone is either going to have to send down a rope, for us to climb up, or I'll have to wait here for you to get back." She calls up.
Gabriel casts about but doesn't see anywhere that a key could be hidden. Except perhaps under the garbage pile within reach of where Grzak had been chained, which... even for Goblins sounds a bit dense. He doesn't see or hear anything outside the cavern except the creek.
Assuming that Katherine got a boost up almost 10' by Grzak, she would have taken fall damage if it weren't for the half-orc playing catch.
Alarion has climbed to the top of the shaft. There are a scattering of stalagmites that would make for a solid place to affix a rope to.

Cail is directly underneath Alarion. The fissure is narrow, and it would be a tight squeeze to try to go more than single file. Perhaps if anyone has a rope, it could be passed up to Alarion?
"here is a rope." Kathrine says, passing one up the line.
(Every starting equipment set comes with a rope, so not sure why anyone, other than the barbarian half-orc that was held prisoner, wouldn't have a set of rope...)
Peeking above the edge of the crevasse: A cavern slopes upwards, so you can't see too far in from floor level. Stalagmites and stalactites adorn this end. You can see that the cave opens up, the height of the ceiling suggesting a larger cavern than the one you came from. There is a faint reddish orange glow reflecting off of the roof.
A rope, whether Cail's or Katherine's, is passed up to Alarion, and he ties it around a stalagmite.
To move things along, you are all capable of climbing this rope no rolls required.
The party has all made it to the top of the shaft, thanks to Katherine's rope idea.
All of you can manage to crawl out of the refuse shaft undetected due to a gradual slope from shute to cave. This is a larger cavern than the last, at least you think so from what you can tell from here.
There is a red flickering glow reflecting off the ceiling.
Once Grzak ascends to this new chamber he will immediately grab his chain to try and keep it from making noises which would potentially alert any unfriendly ears. Then he will quickly glance around to see if he has any recollection of this area. Regardless of his findings, he will move quietly to a shadowy corner or duck behind the stalagmite in an attempt to hide.
Gabriel draws his sword and hands it over to Grzak. "Use this my friend tell we can get you another weapon " he whispers. Gabriel also does his best to keep quiet. Continuing to whisper "Rowan you should scout up ahead see what's causing that glow."
Kathrine will let the others take the front position, moving to the rear herself. "Do we want me to try to talk to someone up there, if there is anyone, or are you planning to go in swinging again?"She asks, already figuring she knows the answer, and having moved to the rear due to this.
No rest for the wicked or even the nice... as in hp check? I think the last 3 to post are at full? I can check posts it's just great if you guys keep track and we do honor system.
(As rough as Grzak looks, he's in good shape. Cail is down 7hp and Katherine is down 3hp. Grzak doesn't have any ability to heal anyone short of lending them a nasty bone to chew on.)
Gabriel shakes his head at Grzak, and motions at the torch he is carrying. "I will find a way to help out, unless you prefer to fight with your bone?" Turning to Katherine "if you wish to try and talk them into giving up Sildar by all means go ahead, but considering the treatment of Grzak, I doubt they will be to receptive to kind words. Somethings only know the language of swords." Gabriel smiles at the irony of his words since he just gave up his sword to the barbarian.
Gabriel had to put out his torch before climbing... he struggled up the rope with the unlit torch in his pack. Now that he's on mostly horizontal ground, he can make out enough of his surroundings, due to the flickering light reflecting off of the cavern ceiling ahead.
Who is listening? I'll take active perception rolls if anyone is, passive perception will be the minimum.

"Yeah of course Grzak." Gabriel searches around the area maybe the goblins left a key within easy reach of the wolves, goblins do tend to be lazy.
(OOC: what should I roll, if anything? )

If allowed a retry.

*What about Cail?*
I have a weird sense of humor.
I also make maps.(That's a link)
(If I had one.)
Alarion is going to peek over the edge to see what lies in the room beyond.
Cail is directly underneath Alarion. The fissure is narrow, and it would be a tight squeeze to try to go more than single file. Perhaps if anyone has a rope, it could be passed up to Alarion?
Spoiler for Alarion coming soon...

Grzak looks confused at Gabriel.
"Uhm ... Ok."
He takes the longsword and offers the large humanoid bone (femur) in trade.
He smiles at Gabriel and shakes the bone in outstretched hand and silently nods with the nonverbal cue, "Here, you take it".
