(Violet you would recognize the initials to be those of the previous Blackstaff, one of the most powerful people within the city and an archmage.)
Volo hands over 10gp to each of you and thanks you for offering to help.
You can definitely take a short rest within the tavern. As Guardian asks where to find help for Jeremiah, one of the other staff members of the tavern walks over, "I have some skill in healing if you need." They are a tall elven figure dressed in robes of Pelor.
‘Thank you, yer honour.’ Jeremiah bows his head in gratitude, touching his forelock with one hand and shoving the blood soaked ‘kerchief in a pocket with the other.
‘We all headin’ off to this old gaff then. The Skewered Dragon?’
(Intelligence Check to see if he recalls anything: 4)
’Umm, where is it, Mr Geddarm? I don’t, umm, frequent thems places.’
Gorm just hangs around and relaxes, waiting for everyone else to get the ready. He puts on an air of nonchalance but he’s happy for the rest, having taken a good hit himself in the fracas. Still, even when the robed figure offered the kid healing, Gorm couldn’t bring himself to ask for the same. Have to put up a good front and all..,
((but he will roll his one hit die for healing: 6 ))
Before departing, Gorm would ask Volo about some starting points for their investigation. “You said you and Floon were drinking and gambling at the Skewered Dragon, do you remember anyone else that was there? Do you recall who the bartender was or if any of the wait staff were an eyeful?” Gorm would ask, looking to get some initial suspects or witnesses.
“And who were you gambling with? Was it cards or...? Do you normally gamble against them? Did anyone win, or lose, particularly big?” Gorm would ask, following up on any obvious points or anywhere Volo tried to be evasive...
Jeremiah waits patiently by the door, eating a pie that had been abandoned by someone in the earlier fracas, and stuffing some sliced meat and bread into one of his pockets. A shimmering hand corks an unattended bottle of wine, and starts to bring it towards him, as he pointedly looks in a different direction
"Oh we started with cards, eventually we bored of it and played dice. I left after a while cause I am not as young as I once was and Floon stayed to keep playing. The barstaff might know more. Um... no real big winners or losers *cough* and at this point we have gambled most of this city." It is obvious that Volo didn't do super well gambling but doesn't seem to be hiding anything other than his bad luck.
Violet appears stunned at the revelation of who Jeremiah's handkerchief once belonged to. Whether he knows Kelben “Blackstaff” Arunsun personally or managed to steal the handkerchief, either way, that’s impressive. Perhaps she should be nicer to this kid lol...
Gorm will press a little harder to get a name or three of anyone else who was still at the Skewered Dragon when Volo left, but eventually will give up and follow the others over there...
You get the mention of Bror Dedrosk, Lurth, and Mua who they gambled with.
As you turna corner on the way to the bar, you find yourselves on a street that has been cordoned off by the City Watch. Lying on the cobblestones are a half-dozen corpses, seemingly the victims of some terrible skirmish. Watch officers have disarmed and arrested three blood-drenched humans and are in the midst of questioning witnesses. One of the officers sees you. "Get on," she says. "Nothing to see here."
“So we start asking questions at the Floon... “ Gorm suggests. “When we gets the gold that was mentioned.”
Jeremiah nods. 'I need to rest up a little first, though...'
(Short Rest please?)
"Yes, he needs medical attention before we start anything." Guardian says, looking at the youngster. "Where can we find someone to help him?"

‘Yes please!’ says Jeremiah ‘One o’ them flying leeches got me good, before I could zap it...’
The elf whispers a quiet prayer to Pelor and your wound quickly heals itself

Volo turns to Jeremiah, "It is in the Dock ward between Net Street and Fillet Lane. Shouldn't be too hard to find."
(You all know approximately where that is. Anything else you want to do before we head out?)
Good to go here.

As Guardian waits for Gorm to finish his questioning he watches the hole that the troll came out of, not wanting anything else to come out of there.
Violet appears stunned at the revelation of who Jeremiah's handkerchief once belonged to. Whether he knows Kelben “Blackstaff” Arunsun personally or managed to steal the handkerchief, either way, that’s impressive. Perhaps she should be nicer to this kid lol...
“Skewered Dragon, huh?” Violet perks up. “It’s kinda lame but I go there once in a while.”
She listens to Gorm’s questions, appreciating his purpose. Volo’s answers don’t help too much. But intrigue is a foot?
“Come on guys, I can lead the way. Last one there buys me a drink!”
(she notices Jeremiah’s stunt with the bottle of wine and decides she definitely has to be nicer to this kid!)
