"Something broke the wheel,"Polly says. "It's missing pieces. I'm not a wheel expert but it seems like it's not permanent. Anyone know how to mend things? I'd rather chase off after the pixie, if we're doing that. Though we don't need to."
"I think the pixie's gone. Also, I know many magic users can mend objects without expending any magical energy. Does anybody have that, and could that work?"
(Perception (if it adds anything above the nat 20 from Brightmoon) 12)
"I don't have the magical means to repair it, but maybe our driver has a repair kit or something. I have no idea how this kind of thing works... Hey driver: The wheel is broken, can you do anything to fix it? And is there any way we could help with that?

"The wheel's broken? Not a big deal, I've been riding these roads for years, and I had my fair share of broken wheels. All we need to repair it is some wood, a metal dagger, and some rope. Do any of you have those?" He pauses and sighs "We have no time to go Pixie Hunting. And I said, do not go too far from the chariot, you will get lost."
Mason steps up, "I have some crossbow bolts if that will help ... and here is some rope" Mason hands the driver his rope and pulls out the bolts "Not sure it will help but I also have a knife" He shows the driver his dagger. "I never did learn some of the simple fixer upper magic. My parents always thought that would be helpful, but would I listen? Sigh"
He takes the rope, then snaps his fingers and lays out his hand, gesturing for you to hand him the dagger. "Crossbow bolts are not sharp enough. Thank you, now all we need is some wood. Does anyone have an axe of some kind. A greataxe? Halberd? Normal axe? Anything that can chop down a tree can be used to get the wood we need to repair the wheel."
Mason hands over the daggar and pulls out a longsword for the driver to use. He then looks at the others "Brightmoon, don't you have a hammer? And Tuner, you have a crowbar. We should be able to get some things done with these things."
"I don't see how we can fell a tree with a crowbar, but then again I'm not a woodworker. Feel free to use it. We could try to scavenge the woods for some fallen tree or something. How big a piece of wood do you need good sir?"
You find a tree close by that meets the requirements of six inches "Make sure you only cut about two inches off of it. You could use this longsword to saw away at what you need" he yells, then tosses Mason's longsword back at him. (I'll just say he catches it.)
Mason catches the longsword and moves over to work the wood. He makes the effort and trims it nicely then hands the wood over to the driver "Ok, what is next?"
Brightmoon looks for the Pixie: Perception 24
(Passive investigation is 19)
Even with the sharpest sight, you are unable to find the pixie, but you do fond a small trail of pixie dust in the air.
"I see Pixie dust there, the Pixie must have cast his spell and is either hiding or has moved on"
After a moment of Polly examining, Caya hollers down to her. "How's it look, Polly? You need backup down there?"
Brightmoon hops off the carriage, draws his bow and covers Polly wile she is examining/working on the wheel.
"Something broke the wheel," Polly says. "It's missing pieces. I'm not a wheel expert but it seems like it's not permanent. Anyone know how to mend things? I'd rather chase off after the pixie, if we're doing that. Though we don't need to."

"I need a log about this wide." He makes a space of about 6 inches.
Brightmoon searches for a log matching the request (investigation: 20)
