Listening to Polly Mason advises that they avoid deception. He waits for Caya to finish the story and will add information if needed. He messages to Caya "I think we should include all we have come to do. There is nothing to be gained at this point by hiding because we don't know where to find the relic anyway."
"We are looking for a way to end the civil war. We have received information that the relics of Chroma can stop this war, and we are hoping for the knowledge of Elvenoak to begin us on our quest to find the green relic of Chroma."
(OOC sorry if I got any of the facts wrong don't blame Caya for that, Its too early where I live rn!)
There's s another pause before it speaks again. "I can sense your truthfulness, you may pass." Then, the archway disappears to reveal a passage leading up into the tree.
Once everyone gets inside the passage, the archway closes behind you. The passage is very dimly lit, and leads climbing up through the inside of the tree until you reach the bottommost platform. It is made from mostly logs held together by branches and rope, but others are made from the tree itself. In front of you is a male drow with a spear in hand, patrolling around the edge of the platform. He looks down at the ground below, paying no attention to you
He looks up towards you upon hearing your voice, he has a very faint look of disbelief. "Huh. We don't get very many travelers like yourselves here, not many are able to pass the Test of Truth without bad intention. All we get are merchants and tourists here, and that's it. Oh, the inn is the door with the a bed carved into the wood above it. Library's the one with a book above it, Tailor has a cloth, Market has an apple, and ones without a symbol are just homes, don't go in them."
Brightmoon suppresses the instinct to grab his swords when he sees the Drow. He waits to hear the guards response to Caya and looks around the area for a likely library or place of learning.
"It would appear that the library is a good place to start before we retire for the evening." (OOC: what time is it?) Mason starts to walk towards to library.

You head a far way up the platforms until you see a door with the picture of a book carved into the tree bark. Inside is a small library with dozens of books on shelves.
Caya looks around for either a librarian or a book on the relics of Chroma if there is no librarian. If there is a librarian, she will ask for books on the relics of Chroma.
There is an elder female high elf standing in the corner. When you ask her, she says "Yes, I think you may find a book like that in the A through E section." All the letters of the sections are in elvish script, (if you don't understand Elvish, you have disadvantage on perception checks for finding what you are looking for.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Caya looks in the A to E section for anything mentioning the relics of Chroma, especially for the green one. Perception: 2
I didn't manipulate dice rolls. It was saying dice not available so I rolled again, but then it was showing, so I deleted the second one that I had added. If you'd like me to reroll, let me know.
Prologue Back when the land was new, there was a devastating demon that they called The Lord of Chaos. He spread his chaotic corruption across the land, driving good souls to do heinous acts. All this chaos and bad will was about to drive this land into an abyss of darkness, but once enough was had, five dragons, each of one of the five chromatic dragons, known as the Dragons of Chroma, stood up against him:
Drinphinir, the red dragon, Ithios, the blue dragon, Croled, the green dragon, Vaurjel, the black dragon, Arilla, the white dragon.
In such a fight, the demon summoned several servants after the dragons, but they were no match, leaving the Chaos Lord to fight them himself. He sent off several attacks and tried to fill them with dark desires, but Vaurjel knocked him away, along with his concentration, Arilla froze him with her icy breath, and Drinphinir used powerful sealing magic to banish him to the Nine Hells. But in his last breath, the Chaos Lord cast a powerful spell on the dragons that sealed their spirits away within fragments in the room. Then they have been sent scattered across the land by his servants. The fragments soon obtained the magic from the spirit of their dragon trapped inside.
Now, the locations of the relics are long forgotten, however, a few elders may still know of where a relic may lie. Legend says that with the power of all five spirits of the legendary Dragons of Chroma, can once more stop the chaos of what became Dragoneye.

Caya follows the passage, saying, "I think that went pretty well," to the group.
Mason smile "Great job! Let's hope this continues to go well" He follows the passage into the tree with the others.

Caya walks up to the guard. "Excuse me, sir," she says. "Might you know where an inn would would be for travelers such as ourselves?"

Caya follows Mason, hoping to find something useful before they must retire.

You find one book with a white leather cover titled "The Legend of Chroma" which seems to be about the relics.
Caya opens it and begins reading it, looking for any useful information.
(Nice new profile picture)
You open the book and read this:

(Thanks, it's a character from my favorite series)
Caya summarizes to the group and continues reading if there's anything more to the book. If not, she closes it and places it back on the shelf.
